Abstract

13,757. Eneas, A. G. June 6. Nozzles for producing whirling sprays; commingling jets.-Liquid is distributed over an extended area by simultaneously producing both rotary and non- rotary jets and causing the mixture of these jets within a confined space. In the form shown, liquid passes through a central jet 7 into a chamber 1, where it mixes with a whirling jet caused by helical passages 8 surrounding the central jet. A passage 9 may be formed by which air is drawn into the mixing-chamber. In a modification, the rotary spray may be the central jet, and the annular jet may be a non-rotary one.
