[Also in Division F2] In a lithographic plate making equipment having a hinged frame 2 supporting a glass pane 4 adapted when the frame is swung down to horizontal position to engage a "layout" supported on a pad 6 (see Division F2), the frame 2 is latched in the horizontal position by a pair of pivoted latches 15 each having a cut-out 16 to receive a lug 13 on a bracket 14 of which two are secured to a base 1 on opposite sides of the frame 2, the two latches being interconnected by an operating bar 12 by which the frame can be swung manually, and a spring 17 acting on each latch to cause latching engagement with the lugs 13, release of the latches being effected by manipulation of the operating bar 12.
