Méthode et système de détermination d’un niveau d’un liquide dans un récipient et/ou un conduit, notamment un carburant dans un réservoir d’un aéronef Un aspect de l’invention concerne une méthode de détermination d’un niveau de liquide dans un récipient et/ou un conduit (1), par exemple un réservoir, comprenant au moins un premier et un deuxième capteurs (11) positionnés respectivement au-dessus et en-dessous du niveau de liquide (5), le niveau du liquide étant déterminé à partir des vitesses de propagation d’un premier et d’un deuxième modes de propagation et d’un temps de propagation d’une onde élastique guidée se propageant dans la paroi du récipient ou du conduit selon le premier mode au-dessus du niveau de liquide (5) et selon le deuxième mode en-dessous du niveau de liquide (5).
