Abstract

 The present invention relates to bags for carrying medical products and instruments, which can be used during emergency medical interventions to rescue injured people in places that are difficult to access.

 We have already imagined various means of carrying medical products and instruments for emergency intervention, such as first aid kits which are carried by hand or placed in a general purpose bag, or such as carrying bags with carrying straps having the usual shape for backpacks and in which the medical instruments and products necessary for emergency medical interventions are housed. In the latter case, the bags have a single interior compartment, with a width of about 40 to 50 cm and a depth of 30 to 40 cm, limited by an anterior carrying wall whose front face is provided with bag carrying straps on the back, by two side walls, by a folding rear posterior wall, and by an upper flap.

 Such known bags are not well suited to emergency interventions in perilous and hardly accessible environments, for several reasons.

 A first reason is that interventions in perilous and difficult to access environments require that the user not only carry the medical products and instruments necessary for the intervention, but also personal effects to adapt to the climatic conditions of difficult places. Access such as the high mountains, as well as technical equipment such as ice axes, crampons, carabiners and ropes for the progression allowing to reach the wounded in these perilous and difficult to access places.

 A second reason is that the shape of the known bags is not suitable for progressing in cramped passages, for example to rescue speleologists.

 To achieve these and other objects, an emergency medical intervention bag according to the invention comprises a carrying wall, the front face of which is provided with backpack carrying straps, and the edges of which are connected to flexible walls of outer casing together enclosing a generally parallelepiped carrying volume limited by a lower wall, by two lateral walls, by a foldable rear front wall, and by an upper flap; according to the invention: - the carrying volume is divided into three main compartments which, in carrying orientation, are stepped in height and separated by horizontal partitions, namely a lower main compartment, a central main compartment and a compartment main main, each main compartment is accessible separately from the outside by a respective separate opening, - the carrying volume has a width and a depth which are reduced relative to its height, so as to form an elongated tubular structure adapted to a progression in the direction of its height in narrow passages.

 Preferably, the external surface of the bag must be smooth, to avoid any catching during progression in an uneven or cramped area. Thus, provision can be made for the flexible walls of the outer casing to have a smooth external surface and devoid of any protrusion such as strap, lace, protruding pocket, capable of catching on surrounding objects or surfaces.

 To ensure a good ability to progress in cramped passages, it is necessary to provide a bag having a small width and a shallow depth. Good results are obtained by providing a carrying volume which has a width between 28 and 35 cm, preferably about 32 cm, and a depth between 24 and 31 cm, preferably about 28 cm to occupy a total depth. about 32 cm with the backpack carrying straps, and a height of 68 to 75 cm and preferably about 72 cm.

 According to a well-adapted embodiment, the lower main compartment has a height of approximately 10 cm, the central main compartment has a height of approximately 45 cm, the upper main compartment has a height of approximately 15 cm.

 An important problem encountered with known bags during progressions in cramped passages, and in particular during a hoist or a traction of the bag at the end of a flexible link, is the presence of carrying straps which form loops and may catch on the rough edges of the passage walls or surrounding objects. To avoid this, one can advantageously provide on the bag according to the invention a retractable concealment front wall adapted to be either folded and housed in the carrying volume, or deployed parallel to the carrying wall with its edges secured to the edges of the carrying wall to define a housing containing and completely obscuring the backpack carrying straps to produce a smooth surface devoid of any protrusion or loop.

 The folding rear wall provides quick and complete access to the medical equipment contained in the central compartment. In addition, one can take advantage of the large dimension of this rear folding front wall to accommodate elongated elements such as splints and / or an ice ax. For this, the rear folding front wall can advantageously comprise according to the invention several parallel walls defining at least one opening interior compartment for accommodating said elongated objects such as splints and / or an ice ax.

 To avoid untimely dropping of the kits during medical intervention in perilous places, for example in the high mountains, it is advantageously provided that each kit is connected to the outer envelope wall by a flexible link allowing its extraction out of the main compartment central for access to its interior, however, avoiding its total separation from the bag. Thus, in the event that a kit falls from the bag, it is retained in the bag by the flexible link which limits its fall and allows it to be recovered.

 In the preferred embodiment illustrated in the figures, the bag for emergency medical intervention according to the invention comprises a carrying wall 1, generally rectangular, the front face 2 of which is provided with backpack carrying straps 3 and 4. Preferably, ergonomic backpack carrying straps 3 and 4 are provided, ensuring sufficient carrying surface on the shoulders of the user, and an ergonomic belt 5 is also provided to surround the size of the user, and a chest strap 6 to hold in adjustable adjustable position the two backpack carrying straps 3 and 4 in the user's chest area.

 More particularly, in FIG. 4, a distinction is made between the lower main compartment 16 limited by the lower wall 7 and by a first horizontal partition 19, then the central main compartment 17 limited by said first horizontal partition 19 and by a second horizontal partition 20, and finally the upper main compartment 18 between the second horizontal partition 20 and the upper flap 11.

Thus, the lower main compartment 16 is accessible from the rear by a zipper 21, the central main compartment 17 is accessible from the outside by the foldable rear front wall 10, and the upper main compartment 18 is accessible from the outside by an upper bellows 22 and an upper opening 23 closable by a cord 24, the assembly being covered by the upper flap 11.

 According to the invention, the carrying volume has a width LI and a depth L2 which are reduced relative to its height H, so as to form an elongated tubular structure suitable for progression in the direction of its height H in narrow passages .

 In practice, the carrying volume has a width LI of between 28 and 35 cm, preferably equal to approximately 32 cm, and a depth L2 of between 24 and 31 cm, preferably equal to approximately 28 cm. Note that, in the concealed position of the backpack carrying straps 3 and 4, the bag has a total depth of approximately 32 cm.  In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the bag comprises a retractable concealment front wall 25 adapted to be either folded and housed in the carrying volume, or deployed as illustrated in FIG. 10 parallel to the carrying wall 1.
