Abstract

The invention concerns a device for fixing (3) an absorbent pad (1) on a brassiere (2) to absorb perspiration which is exuded at the armpits. The absorbent pad (1) can be fixed to the fixing device (3) by means of adhesive or hook-and-loop self-sealing tapes. The fixing device, which can itself be fixed on the brassiere, can comprise a sort of little pocket (4) wherein the absorbent pad (1) in inserted. If the pad (1) is maintained by means of adhesive or self-sealing tapes, the pocket (4) will only cover the absorbent pad (1) ends. The fixing device (3) is itself fixed to the brassiere by sewing, fusible printing or by means of hook-and-loop tapes. Another embodiment of the invention provides that the brassiere band is widened in its portion located below the armpits, such that the top edge of said portion is located near the armpit. The inventive fixing device provides the advantage with respect to prior art of considerably reducing friction at the armpits.
