Abstract

In the production of a composite material, a base layer and a cover layer containing a curable thermosetting binder are bonded to one another under pressure and with curing of the binder. In order to form the cover layer, one or more papers impregnated with an epoxy resin are used in such a manner that the modulus of elasticity in tension of the cured cover layer by itself is less than 120,000 kp/cm<2>. This low modulus of elasticity favours the adherence between the base layer and cover layer, in particular under flexural stressing of the composite material. Furthermore, a ski is described in which such a composite material is used as the supporting lamella element, the base layer of which can be in particular an epoxy-glass laminate or a duralumin lamella.
