Description

Paper feeding device and image forming apparatus
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a paper feeding device and an image forming apparatus, and more particularly, to a paper feeding device and an image forming apparatus having a function of preventing overload of paper accumulation.
Background
In the conventional paper feeding device, the paper feeding device includes: the device comprises a box body, a paper placing box and an overstock sensor. The box body comprises a containing cavity, the paper box is located in the containing cavity, and the paper box can be moved out of the containing cavity by pulling the paper box. The overload sensor is arranged at a fixed height position in the accommodating cavity, and the fixed height is a limit value calculated according to the maximum bearing of the maximum-size type paper and the bottom sheet metal.
The amount of paper that can be carried by the paper cassette varies for different types of paper, i.e., the maximum allowable height of paper that can be placed in the paper cassette varies. Because the position of the overload sensor is fixed, the paper feeding device is difficult to adjust the maximum height of the paper allowed to be put according to different paper types, so that the quantity of paper sheets of small size type to be put is too small, and the space in the paper box is not fully utilized.
Furthermore, since the over-loading sensor is disposed in the accommodating cavity, the over-loading sensor can detect whether the paper height of the paper box exceeds the maximum allowable height only when the paper box is pushed into the accommodating cavity. In order to accurately stack the paper in the paper box to the maximum allowable height, the user needs to repeatedly push and pull the paper box to supplement the paper or take out the redundant paper, so that the operation is complex, and the operation efficiency is low. In addition, repeated pushing and pulling of the paper box can also cause abrasion of the paper box, and the service life of the paper box is influenced.
