Description

Support device and dual display unit with the support device

The general inventive concept of the present invention relates to a supporting device and a dual display unit having the supporting device, and more particularly to a device installed between the auxiliary display unit and the main display unit for constantly changing the position and location of the auxiliary display unit. A support device for gestures and a dual display unit having the support device.

Background technique

With the popularization of the need for computers to achieve multitasking, the demand for dual display units continues to increase to provide users with different screens through auxiliary display units other than the basic display unit.

Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2006-134558 discloses an example of a dual display unit design. In the dual display unit, an accommodating space is formed on a rear surface of the main liquid crystal display, and a liquid crystal moving unit is installed in the accommodating space for guiding movement of the auxiliary liquid crystal display. Therefore, the auxiliary liquid crystal display is accommodated in the accommodation space, and when the auxiliary liquid crystal display is to be used, it can be moved from the accommodation space to the upper portion or the side of the main liquid crystal display by the liquid crystal moving unit.

However, conventional dual display units have the following problems.

The second supporting part 120 is slidably connected to the first supporting part 110 so as to adjust the length of the supporting device 100 . Thus, the distance between the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit 10 can be adjusted by adjusting the extendable length of the supporting device 100 .

Further, the first installation frame 130 and the second installation frame 140 are respectively fixed on the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20 to install the supporting device 100 on the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20 . The first supporting part 110 and the second supporting part 120 are rotatably connected with the first mounting frame 130 and the second mounting frame 140 respectively. Therefore, the auxiliary display unit 20 can not only be moved to the upper or side of the main display unit 10, but also can be arranged in a landscape view or a portrait view by being rotated.

The configuration of the support device 100 will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4 .

20。An input unit 23 is installed on an auxiliary rear surface 25 of the auxiliary display unit 20 . The input unit 23 includes an image signal terminal for inputting an image signal transmitted by a computer (not shown) or the like, a jack connection terminal for a power supply (not shown), and the like. Image signals and power may be supplied to the auxiliary display unit 20 through the main display unit 10 or may be supplied separately to the auxiliary display unit 20 without the main display unit 10 .

Further, mounting frames 130 and 140 are mounted on the main rear surface 16 of the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary rear surface 25 of the auxiliary display unit 20, respectively. In general, four holes conforming to the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) standard are arranged in a rectangular shape on the rear surface of the display unit. Main display unit mounting holes 13 and auxiliary display unit mounting holes 22 conforming to Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) standards are respectively provided on the main rear surface 16 of the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary rear surface 25 of the auxiliary display unit 20 . And, a first frame installation hole 130 a and a second frame installation hole 142 are provided at corresponding positions on the installation frames 130 and 140 , respectively. Accordingly, the mounting frames 130 and 140 are respectively fixed on the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20 through the first frame mounting hole 130a and the second frame mounting hole 142 .

The main frame shaft hole 130b and the auxiliary frame shaft hole 140a are provided on the mounting frames 130 and 140, respectively, and are used for rotation of the first supporting part 110 and the second supporting part 120, respectively. In the central area including the shaft holes 130b and 140a, protrusions 131 and 141 are respectively formed on the first mounting frame 130 and the second mounting frame 140, and in order to minimize the frictional contact during rotation, the two protrusions are opposite to the main frame shaft holes. 130b and the auxiliary frame shaft hole 140a protrude in the axial direction.

In addition, a main support shaft hole 110 a and an auxiliary support shaft hole 120 a are provided on the first support part 110 and the second support part 120 , respectively. The first fastening part 134 and the second fastening part 128, both of which are formed in the shape of a screw, pass through the main support shaft hole 110a of the first support part 110 and the auxiliary support shaft hole 120a of the second support part 120, and are respectively connected with the second support shaft hole 110a. The shaft hole 130b of the main frame of the first installation frame 130 is connected with the shaft hole 140a of the auxiliary frame of the second installation frame 140 .

Four friction rings 135, 136, 137 and 138 are installed between the first support member 110 and the first installation frame 130 so that the first support member 110 can rotate at an appropriate speed. In addition, the friction rings 135 , 136 , 137 and 138 stop the first support member 110 whenever the first support member 110 turns through 90 degrees. Also, three friction rings 125 , 126 and 127 are installed between the second support member 120 and the second installation frame 140 . The functions of the friction rings 125 , 126 and 127 are the same as those of the friction rings installed on the first support member 110 .

Meanwhile, a first rotation limiting protrusion 132 is formed on the first mounting frame 130 to limit a rotation range of the first support member 110 , and a second rotation limiting protrusion 110 b is installed on the first support member 110 . The first rotation restricting protrusion 132 and the second rotation restricting protrusion 110b are rotation restricting members for forming a contact surface according to the rotation phase of the first support member 110 . The first rotation restricting protrusion 132 is disposed on an opposite side of the main frame shaft hole 130b of the first mounting frame 130, and the second rotation restricting protrusion 110b is formed at one side of the main support shaft hole 110a. Therefore, the rotation range of the first support member 110 is limited to about 180 degrees. Thus, the auxiliary display unit 20 can be fixed at the opposite side of the main display unit 10 (the side opposite to the side surface 14 as shown in FIG. 1 ) without moving to the lower end of the main display unit 10, if desired.

Then, for the coupling relationship between the first support part 110 and the second support part 120 , a guide rail 113 is formed at one side of the first support part 110 to guide the sliding of the second support part 120 . Guide members 115 and 116 forming a contact surface with the second support member 120 are installed on the inner side 114 of each of the corresponding guide rails 113 . The guide rail 113 accommodates and supports the guide members 115 and 116 . The guide parts 115 and 116 slidably support the second support part 120 and provide an appropriate frictional force in sliding of the second support part 120 to adjust the moving speed when the second support part 120 is extended or contracted.

The fixing protrusions 112 a and 112 b are provided on the first support member 110 to restrain the guide members 115 and 116 when the second support member 120 moves forward or backward, thereby maintaining the structural integrity of the support device 100 . Fixing grooves 115a and 116a are provided on the guide members 115 and 116 at positions corresponding to the fixing protrusions 112a and 112b. In this case, the configurations of the fixing protrusions 112 a and 112 b and the fixing grooves 115 a and 116 a may be changed to change a moving range of the guide parts 115 and 116 relative to the first supporting part 110 .

A pin hole 120d (see FIG. 3 ) is provided at an end portion opposite to an end portion of the second support member 120 on which the auxiliary display unit 20 is mounted. In other words, the pin hole 120 d is provided near the end portion closer to the second support member 120 than to the first support member 110 . The anti-separation pin 119 (see FIG. 3 ) is connected to the pin hole 120d. The anti-separation pin 119 is connected to the pin hole 120d in a state where the end of the second support member 120 passes through the rail portions 115a and 116a on the guide members 115 and 116 and moves to the opposite sides. Therefore, when the second support member 120 moves outward in the state where the anti-separation pin 119 is connected to the pin hole 120d, if the second support member 120 moves out of the set moving range, the anti-separation pin 119 is held by the rail portion. The ends of 115a and 116a are blocked and can no longer move, thus preventing separation.

The first support member 110 has positioning slots 111 a and 111 b for establishing a stop position when the second support member 120 slides. A stopper 117 having a positioning protrusion 117b adapted to engage with the positioning grooves 111a and 111b is installed on the second support member 120 .

The stopper 117 is fixed to the second support member 120 by connecting the fastening member 118 to the stopper installation hole 117 a and the second support installation hole 120 c provided on the stopper 117 and the second support member 120 , respectively. In a state where the second support part 120 is connected to the first support part 110 , the stopper 117 is fixed to the second support part 120 . A through hole 120b is provided on the second support member 120 such that the positioning protrusion 117b passes through the through hole 120b to protrude to the opposite sides. The positioning protrusion 117b is provided at the center of the plate-shaped stopper 117 and elastically supported by the stopper 117 of this shape.

A pair of positioning grooves 111a and 111b may be disposed on the inner surface of the first support member 110 and spaced a certain distance from each other. The positioning grooves 111 a and 111 b are provided at two positions of the positioning protrusion 117 b on the inner surface of the first support member 110 in a state where the auxiliary display unit 20 is placed on the upper side or the opposite side of the main display unit 10 . Therefore, when the auxiliary display unit 20 is placed on the upper side or the opposite side of the main display unit 10 during the movement of the auxiliary display unit 20, the positioning protrusion 117b is either connected to the positioning groove 111a or to the positioning groove 111b, so that The length of the support device 100 is securely fixed.

In addition, the hinge part 121 is provided on the second support member 120 so that the screen of the auxiliary display unit 20 can be rotated and tilted while forming a certain tilt angle with respect to the screen of the main display unit 10 . In this case, the hinge portion 121 is preferably disposed inwardly from the outer boundary of the auxiliary display unit 20 in a state where the second supporting member 120 is mounted on the auxiliary display unit 20 .

In addition, when the support device 100 is installed, a bent portion 122 is formed on the second support member 120 to bend forward from the main display unit 10 . Considering that the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit 10 have different thicknesses, the curved portion 122 can make the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit 10 be positioned on the same plane.

According to the above structure, as shown in FIG. 5 , the auxiliary display unit 20 can be rotated by the hinge portion 121 to perform a tilting operation, so that its front surface 24 can face the side, and then the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display can be Unit 20 is set at 90 degrees.

还有,在此情况下,可通过转动将辅助显示单元20设置成风景视图或人物视图(in a landscape view or a portraitview)。In addition, as shown in FIG. 6 , when the supporting device 100 is turned upward, the auxiliary display unit 20 is on the upper side of the main display unit 10 . Also, in this case, the auxiliary display unit 20 can be set in a landscape view or a portrait view by being rotated.

The auxiliary display unit 20 can be easily separated from the support device 100 and can be used as an independent display unit after separation.

FIG. 7 is an exploded perspective view of a supporting device 200 according to another embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

220。The support device 200 includes: a support member 210 connected between the main display unit 10 (see FIG. 3 ) and the auxiliary display unit 20 (see FIG. 3 ), and is slidably connected to the support member 210 and guides the direction of the support member 210. The sliding unit 220 moves forward or backward to adjust the distance between the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit 10 .

One end of the support member 210 is rotatably connected to the rear surface 25 of the auxiliary display unit 20 in the same manner as in the above-described embodiment. However, while in the embodiments described above the two support members 110 and 120 are slidably connected to each other for length adjustment, a design choice in this embodiment is whether the ability to adjust the length of the support member 210 is configured . Alternatively, the distance between the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20 can be adjusted by sliding along with the sliding unit 220 attached to the rear surface 16 of the main display unit 10 .

222。The slide unit 220 includes a turntable 221 forming a base and a guide roller 222 installed on the turntable 221 .

221a。The turntable 221 is rotatably connected to the main display unit 10 . For this purpose, the center of the turntable 221 is provided with a shaft hole 221a.

131。In the same manner as in the above-described embodiments, the first mounting frame 130 is mounted on the main display unit 10 through the first bracket mounting hole 130a conforming to the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) standard. A shaft hole 130 b and a protruding portion 131 are also formed on the first mounting frame 130 .

The first fastening member 134 is connected back and forth between the first mounting frame 130 and the turntable 221 through the shaft hole 130b and the shaft hole 221a. Friction rings 135 and 136 and washers 137 and 138 are inserted between the first fastening member 134 and the turntable 221 .

225。In addition, first rotation limiting protrusions 132 and 133 are formed on the first mounting frame 130 , and two second rotation limiting protrusions 224 and 225 are formed on one side of the turntable 221 .

The first rotation limiting protrusions 132 and 133 are arranged at a central angle of about 180 degrees with respect to the shaft hole. Second rotation limiting protrusions 224 and 225 are provided on one surface of the turntable 221 to be spaced apart from each other. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7, when the support member 210 faces the left side shown in FIG. 7, the first rotation limiting protrusion 132 on the left side contacts with the second rotation limiting protrusion 224 positioned at the lower part to limit sliding. Rotation of unit 220. On the other hand, when the supporting member 210 faces the right side, the first rotation limiting protrusion 133 on the right side comes into contact with the other second rotation limiting protrusion 225 to limit the rotation. Accordingly, the auxiliary display unit 20 may remain in a fixed state while being placed on the opposite side of the main display unit 10 as shown.

The guide rollers 222 installed on the turntable 221 may be arranged in a rectangular shape as shown. The two guide rollers 222 arranged on the upper side of the turntable 221 support the upper part of the support member 210, and the two guide rollers 222 arranged on the lower side of the turntable 221 support the lower part of the support member 210, thereby guiding the support member 210 in the longitudinal direction. direction to move forward or backward.

A guide groove 210 a is longitudinally formed on the support member 210 , and a sliding protrusion 223 connected to the guide groove 210 a is formed on the turntable 221 . The guide groove 210a limits the moving range of the support member 210 . When the support member 210 moves forward or backward along the guide roller 222, the slide protrusion 223 moves into the groove 210a while being aligned in the guide groove 210a. After that, when the sliding protrusion 223 comes into contact with the end of the guide groove 210a, the sliding protrusion provides a braking force against the movement of the supporting member 210, stopping it from moving. Therefore, the moving range of the support member 210 is determined by the length of the guide groove 210a.

In this case, the sliding protrusion 223 may be formed as a single body with the turntable 221 , or may be processed and assembled separately from the turntable 221 .

In addition, the rack 211 and the gear 226 are mounted on the support member 210 and the turntable 221, respectively. The rack gear 211 is aligned for movement in the longitudinal direction of the support member 210 in the same manner as the guide groove 210a. Since the rack 211 operates within the moving range of the supporting member 210, the length of the bracket 211 is adapted to the length of the guide groove 210a.

The gear 226 installed on the turntable 221 is engaged with the rack 211 to rotate as the rack 211 moves. In order to separate the gear 226 from the rack 211 while the support member 210 moves forward or backward, the positions of the rack 211 and the gear 226 are determined for the range of movement of the support member 210, and this range is determined by the guide groove 210a and the sliding protrusion. 223 decided. The rack 211 and the gear 226 are arranged to adjust the translation speed of the support member 210 by adjusting the rotational resistance of the gear 226 applied to the linear movement of the rack 211 . In this case, the rotation resistance of the gear 226 can be increased by connecting an additional damper (not shown) or applying a high-viscosity fluid on the shaft of the gear 226 to increase the rotational friction.

20。As in the above-described embodiments, the hinge portion 210b is provided on the support member 210 to allow the auxiliary display unit 20 to be tilted in the front-rear direction. In addition, the connection structure between the support member 210 and the auxiliary display unit 20 is also formed as in the above-described embodiment. Accordingly, the second mounting frame 140 having the shaft hole 140 a is connected to the auxiliary display unit 20 . Friction rings 125 , 126 and 127 are installed between the second installation frame 140 and the support member 210 . The supporting part 210 is rotatably connected to the auxiliary display unit 20 through the fastening part 128 .

140。The first installation frame 130 and the second installation frame 140 are pre-installed on the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit 10 , respectively, to facilitate installation of the supporting device 200 . However, the mounting frames 130 and 140 are not necessarily used only for mounting the supporting device 200 . If the shaft holes 130 b and 140 a formed on the mounting frames 130 and 140 or the first rotation restricting protrusions 132 and 133 are provided on the auxiliary display unit 20 or the main display unit 10 , the mounting frames 130 and 140 may be omitted.

At the same time, a support cover 212 for providing protection and making the appearance beautiful can be installed on the support member 210 . A support cover 213 for providing protection and aesthetic appearance may also be attached to the sliding unit 220 . Since the slide cover 213 is connected to the slide unit 220 such that the support member 210 passes through opposite sides thereof, through holes 213 a are provided at opposite sides of the slide cover 213 . As shown in FIG. 9, a cover fastening frame 212a is used to facilitate attachment.

Figure 8 is a rear perspective view of another embodiment of the dual display unit 101, showing the supporting device 200 shown in Figure 7 assembled and installed on the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20, but for illustration For clarity, the support cover 212 and the slide cover 213 are not shown. In these exemplary embodiments, support device 101 differs from support device 1 (see FIG. 2 ) by having respective different support devices 200 and 100 .

As described above, the slide unit 220 may rotate within a range of 180 degrees with respect to the main display unit 10 . The sliding unit 220 supports the supporting part 210 so that the supporting part 210 can move back and forth when the auxiliary display unit 20 is installed at one end of the supporting part 210 . In addition, the sliding unit 220 can be prevented from being separated from the support member 210 in forward and backward directions.

The sliding protrusion 223 (see FIG. 7) is connected to the guide groove 210a formed on the support member 210, so that the moving range of the support member 210 is limited by the length of the guide groove 210a. In addition, the rack 211 installed on the support member 210 is connected to the gear 226 installed on the turntable 221 to reduce the moving speed of the support member 210, thereby preventing the speed of the support member 210 from rapidly increasing when the position of the auxiliary display unit 20 is changed. , so that the guide groove 210a will not collide with the sliding protrusion 223 at an excessive speed. Therefore, the convenience of user's operation can be improved, and the auxiliary display unit 20 and the slide protrusion 223 can be prevented from being damaged.

The input unit 23 is disposed on the auxiliary rear surface 25 of the auxiliary display unit 20 . The input unit 23 includes an image signal input terminal, a power supply terminal, and the like.

20。In addition, in the support device 200, a cable holder 212a (see FIG. 9) is provided on the support cover 212 to fix cables (not shown) for providing image signals or power from the main display unit 10 to the auxiliary display unit 10. Display unit 20.

Shown in FIG. 9 is a perspective view in a state where the auxiliary display unit 20 is positioned at the upper end of the main display unit 10 through the supporting device 200 .

As shown in FIG. 9, when the auxiliary display unit 20 is positioned on the upper part of the main display unit 10, because of the rectangular profile of the main display unit 10, as shown in FIG. Compared with the state of , the distance between the main display unit 10 and the auxiliary display unit 20 is reduced. In this case, due to the reduced distance, a portion of the support member 210 not used to support the auxiliary display unit 20 passes downward through the slide unit 220 to become the structure shown in FIG. 9 .

In this embodiment, as in the above-described embodiments, the auxiliary display unit 20 can be rotated relative to the support device 200 to be arranged in a landscape view or a character view. In other words, the auxiliary display unit 20 can perform a tilting operation forward and backward through the hinge portion 210 b on the support member 210 .

In addition, although the sliding unit 220 is installed on the main display unit 10 in the illustrated embodiment, it is also possible to adjust the auxiliary display unit 20 and the main display unit in a state where the sliding unit 220 is installed on the auxiliary display unit 20. Distance between units 10.
