This paper is intended to examine the recruitment pattern carried out by Bawaslu to bring PTPS to... more This paper is intended to examine the recruitment pattern carried out by Bawaslu to bring PTPS to the 2019 Simultaneous Elections. The research location was conducted in two regions namely Sunggal District and Percut Sei Tauan District, Deliserdang Regency. By understanding various aspects ranging from the regulatory side to the technical implementation of recruitment, found various obstacles that resulted in the quality of PTPS, ranging from age limits, educational boundaries, community enthusiasm to regional factors that cause PTPS presented less professional. Using the descriptiveanalysis method, data sources were collected through interviews and literature studies related to the PTPS recruitment process. As an evaluation and recommendation, this paper reviews several aspects, namely regulation, promotion and outreach, provision of intensive supervision functions, and transparency of recruitment to be considered in welcoming the next election

The author sees Political Identity greatly influencing the course of democracy in North Sumatra due to differences in religious identity between the two pairs of contesting candidates. The politics of identity centered on the politicization of shared identity is an important base of glue in group collectivity. Identity is then politicized through extreme interpretation to gain support from the majority of the community both in race, ethnicity and religion. Ucapan seorang Ahok menghasilkan konsekuensi kesadaran identitas kolektif yang ditandai dengan terbentuknya musuh bersama dalam wacana publik. Sehingga Aksi Bela Islam sebagai Aksi Simbolik kemarahan umat Islam menjadi penentu kemenangan Anies-Sandi dalam merebut kekuasaan di Pemilihan Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Penelitian mengenai dua objek yakni Aksi Bela Islam dan Pilkada DKI Jakarta ini akan menggunakan data sekunder sebagai teknik pengumpulan data yaitu berupa surat kabar media cetak maupun kanal berita elektronik, serta bahan lain yang mendukung dan berkaitan dengan judul penelitian termasuk video yang bersumber dari youtube, serta menggunakan studi analisis teks kualitatif sebagai teknik analisis data.
