Code Review
This pull request reverts a previous commit that introduced multi-view support for accessibility announcements. The original change, which added a viewId to SemanticsService.announce and related APIs, is being reverted due to causing internal breakages.
The revert is comprehensive, touching files across the framework, engine, and tests. Key changes include:
- The
SemanticsService.announceAPI is restored to its previous signature, removing theviewIdand thesendAnnouncementvariant. - The native Windows implementation in
AccessibilityPluginnow uses a hardcodedkImplicitViewId, with aTODOadded to track re-enabling multi-view support. - All call sites in the framework and integration tests have been updated to use the reverted API.
- Tests have been updated to reflect the API change, with some tests now using
test()instead oftestWidgets()as theWidgetTesteris no longer required.
The changes appear to be a correct and complete revert, aimed at restoring stability.
