Abstract

Abstract   Background: Anemia of pregnancy is called "potential danger to mother and child" so that anaemia requires serious attention from all concerned parties in terms of health services (Manuaba, 2010). Impact of anaemia in pregnant women is increasing morbidity rate including bleeding, premature rupture of membrane, risk of low birth weight babies (BBLR), and is one of the main causes of maternal deaths that originate in anaemia (Arisman, 2010). Based on the results of preliminary studies at Aminah Amin Clinic in July - December 2017 there are 513-trimester pregnant women III and 74 pregnant women have anaemia. Objective:This study aims to determine the relationship of nutritional status with the incidence of anaemia in trimester pregnant women III Amin Sininda Aminah Clinic in 2018. Method: the design of this study is crossectional, the population is pregnant women who visit at Aminah Aminah Clinic. Sampling technique with total sampling of 53-trimester pregnant women III. Results: The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of anaemia in the third-trimester pregnant women (p-value =0,004) with α = 0,05. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between nutritional status and the incidence of anaemia in pregnant mother of trimester III at Aminah Aminah Clinic in 2018.   Keywords: Nutritional status, incidence of anaemia, pregnant mother of third trimester

Abstract

SDGs have an international target of 2025 for decreased stunting and wasting in infants. Stunting indicates that there is a manifestation of the problem of nutrient deficiency and infection experienced since or before the child's birth period in a long period that can affect the development of the brain, the maturity of muscle function becomes slow causing the motor ability to be obstructed. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship status of stunting and non-stunted nutrition with the development of toddlers in Mangkupalas community health center. This research is a descriptive-analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. Large samples were 82 toddlers taken with accidental sampling technique from July to October 2019 at Mangkupalas Public health center (PHC). Analyzed by testing hypotheses of research using Chi-square test with CI 95%. The results showed that there is 41 sample (50%) stunting, and 41 samples (50%) not stunting. Development status was 43 (52.4%) appropriate, 32 (39.0%) doubt, and 7 (8.5%) deviation. Chi-Square test result p-value= 0.000. There are relationships between stunting and non-stunting nutrition status to the development of toddlers.

Abstract

Newborn infants immune systems are immature and inadequate at birth. Infants have limited abilities to infectious challenges to respond effectively and quickly, which explain infants ongoing susceptibility to infections. Passive immunity is provided for infants through IgA and other antimicrobial peptides in breast milk, particularly colostrum. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences between the levels of secretory immunoglobulin A from faeces of full breastfeeding and mixed feeding infants. Design of this study was pre-test and post-test design. The sample size was 38 neonates in community health center work areas, selected by consecutive sampling. The level of secretory IgA was measured by ELISA method, then analyzed using t-test. The results showed that no significant differences levels of secretory IgA on 0 day from faeces of full breastfeeding and mixed feeding (p-value=0.141), the levels of secretory IgA on 28 days was higher in infants of full breastfeeding than mixed feeding (p-value=0.000), delta levels of secretory IgA was higher full breastfeeding infants than mixed feeding (p=0.000). Levels of secretory immunoglobulin A of full breastfeeding infants faeces was higher than mixed feeding infants. Keywords: Secretory immunoglobulin A, Full breastfeeding, Mixed feeding

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by inadequate nutritional intake for a long time due to feeding that is not in accordance with nutritional needs. PKK cadres are one of the pioneers of social change. PKK cadres are often empowered to address various public health problems. The purpose of this community service activity is to carry out empowerment activities for health cadres to prevent stunting in the Mangkupalas Health Center Work Area. The target of the service is the Mangkupalas Health Center Health Cadre. The activity was carried out for 3 months with 2 meetings, namely on September 02 and October 06, 2021. The stages of activity are preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparation was carried out by conducting a preliminary survey to see conditions in the field and obtaining a permit for activities at the Mangkupalas Health Center. The implementation is carried out by delivering material on the prevention of stunting since pregnancy with the assistance of health cadres and early detection of stunting with appropriate anthropometric measurements and early detection of stunting under-five development. Evaluation of activities was carried out for each stage with a pretest and posttest. The results of the activity are the empowerment of health cadres in preventing stunting and increasing the ability of health cadres to detect stunting with appropriate anthropometric measurements. The implementation of the activity is done by a team of lecturers and students and assisted by the Mangkupalas Health Center.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe nutritional status of pregnant women describes the health of the mother and the nutrition of the baby in the womb. An indicator of the nutritional status of pregnant women is the change in body weight during pregnancy. Nutritional problems in pregnant women and the incidence of LBW can be overcome through nutrition education through the media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutrition education using booklet media on the knowledge and weight of pregnant women. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique is total sampling. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire for knowledge with a guttman scale and an observation sheet for body weight. The results of the Wilcoxon t test with a P value of 0.000 showed that there was an effect of nutrition education using booklet media on the knowledge and weight of pregnant women. Pregnancy nutrition education can be the main ingredient in assisting pregnant women. ABSTRAKStatus gizi ibu hamil mengambarkan kesehatan ibu serta gizi bayi di kandungan. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving supplementary food (PMT) a combination of mung bean porridge and boiled eggs on changes in weight and height status in stunting toddlers. The design of this research is quasi-experimental using the one group pretest-posttest design model. The population in this study were toddlers who came to visit the Barong Tongkok Health Center from September to November 2021 with a total of 67 toddlers. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique and obtained as many as 18 respondents. Data analysis techniques using paired t-test to determine the effect between variables. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) so that there was an effect of giving PMT on the BB of stunting toddlers, while a ¬p-value was obtained of 0.390 (>0.05) so that there was no effect of giving PMT on height of stunting toddlers.
