Abstract

In the face of global challenges and increasing social polarization, empathy and tolerance have become essential components in shaping students’ character. Collaborative English language learning offers strong potential to foster these values through cross-perspective interaction. This study aims to explore the impact of collaborative learning methods in English language instruction on the development of students’ empathy and tolerance. This study aims to explore the impact of collaborative learning methods in English language instruction on the development of students’ empathy and tolerance. The approach centers on the implementation of collaborative techniques such as group discussions and perspective-sharing within English learning contexts. The learning process is designed to encourage active interaction and social reflection among students. Findings indicate that collaborative interaction enables students to appreciate diverse viewpoints, demonstrate mutual respect, and strengthen emotional and social awareness. Participatory learning activities help create an inclusive environment that supports character development. Collaborative English learning has proven effective in fostering empathy and tolerance among students. Therefore, integrating this approach into higher education curricula is a strategic step toward reinforcing character education that is responsive to multicultural society and global workforce demands.

Abstract

Calculus-based creativepreneurship is an innovative approach aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by applying mathematical concepts in business strategies. In the midst of the creative economy and digital transformation, MSMEs face challenges related to product innovation, financial management, and optimal use of digital technology. Limited access to data-driven training and quantitative analysis skills hinders effective and measurable business decision-making. This community service activity aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and field practice by integrating calculus concepts into MSME business decision-making processes. The program was conducted as part of the Raharja Enrichment Program (REP), which adopts the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach to provide practical, hands-on learning experiences. The method involved direct consultation with MSME actors. Students conducted observations, problem identification, and data analysis to apply calculus in calculating production costs, setting selling prices, break-even analysis and profit projections. Additionally, students used basic software tools to simulate cost and revenue scenarios and their impact on profit margins, making the learning experience more contextual and practical. The results show that the application of calculus supports MSMEs in improving operational efficiency, developing product innovation, and implementing more systematic, data driven financial strategies. Several partner MSMEs began adopting periodic performance evaluations using function graphs and rates of change. The integration of calculus in the development of creativepreneurship through REP provides dual benefits empowering MSMEs and enhancing student competencies. This model represents a strategic step toward building creative, data-based business solutions and can be replicated across various business sectors in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores the evolution of Strategic Management and Meaningful Work (SDG-8) research through a bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed publications from 2015 to 2025. The aim is to map global trends, collaboration networks, and thematic clusters, thus enhancing understanding of how strategic management practices align with team member well-being and sustainable business models. Building on established literature in sustainable business, digital transformation, and ethical leadership, the research integrates human resource management and organisational behaviour theories. It examines how strategic management interacts with meaningful work, drawing on previous bibliometric and conceptual studies. A keyword-based search in the Scopus database identified 222 publications, refined to 110 English-language articles, conference papers, and reviews. VOSviewer software was used to construct co-occurrence networks and thematic maps across countries, organisations, authors, and keywords. The analysis reveals a significant increase in research output, with key hubs in the United States, Switzerland, Australia, and China. Influential institutions include MIT, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Wageningen University. Emerging themes such as digital transformation and competitive advantage underscore the growing integration of strategic management with meaningful work. These findings highlight the necessity for enhanced international collaboration to advance sustainable business practices and promote team member well-being.

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including language use. As the official language and a symbol of national cultural identity, the Indonesian language is not immune to the effects of globalization, particularly in mass media, literature, and academic publications. This article analyzes the impact of globalization on the use of the Indonesian language, with a focus on two main dimensions: literature and digital media. In literature, globalization tends to introduce foreign elements that influence language style and narrative structure, while in digital media, the use of Indonesian is often mixed with foreign languages and slang influenced by global trends. Furthermore, in academic publications, globalization introduces new terms that often use international languages, such as English, which reduces the use of Indonesian in scholarly contexts. This study also highlights the challenges faced in maintaining the standardization of the Indonesian language amid the rapid flow of globalization, emphasizing the crucial role of language institutions and society in preserving the language's integrity. Through this analysis, it is hoped that strategies will be identified to preserve the richness and standardization of the Indonesian language, ensuring its relevance in an increasingly globalized world.
