Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Menjelaskan gambaran tokoh-tokoh yang melakukan pencarian spiritual, menyangkut gambaran fisik, pekerjaan (status sosial), dan psikologi/ tempramen mereka dalam novel Wo Ai Ni Allah, (2) Mengidentifikasikan motif-motif yang melatar belakangi pencarian spiritual para tokoh utama. Dalam penelitian terhadap novel “Wo Ai Ni Allah”, Penulis mengumpulkan data-data untuk mendukung hasil penulisan. Untuk mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan digunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan teknik close reading. Teknik close reading adalah metode analisis sastra yang mendalam dan teliti terhadap sebuah teks untuk memahami dan menginterpretasi teks novel dengan sangat rinci dan teliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tokoh-tokoh tersebut memiliki perbedaan dalam motif dan pendekatan pencarian spiritual, mereka semua berhasil menemukan Tuhan. Hal ini mencerminkan kompleksitas dan keragaman dalam pencarian spiritual manusia. Meskipun individu memiliki motif, cara, dan tahap pencarian yang berbeda, semua orang memiliki kemampuan untuk menemukan makna spiritual dalam hidup mereka jika mereka bersungguh-sungguh dan tulus dalam pencarian tersebut.

Abstract

The problem with migrant communities is that they often only show the phenomenon of earning a living for their families. It is not uncommon for migrant communities to live in one area and not show solidarity behavior, especially in their hometown. In contrast to the Wadiabero-Haiya migrants who show solidarity behavior for their hometown, namely in Wadiabero Village, Gu District, Central Buton Regency. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods, data obtained through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this research show that: (1) the Wadiabero-Haiya diaspora is spread across the archipelago and neighboring countries; In the archipelago, it is distributed on Papua Island, Maluku Island and its surroundings, on Sulawesi Island, Java Island, Kalimantan Island and Sumatra Island. In neighboring countries, spread across Sabah and Sarawak (2) ways to increase the solidarity of the Wadiabero-Haiya Diaspora Community, namely religious education, introduction to culture and social values, and example; (3) a form of social solidarity, namely mechanical solidarity in the form of a shared view to advance one's hometown, and organic solidarity in the form of mutual need between migrants from different areas for one's hometown. The solidarity created in Wadiabero Village is visible in religious activities, arts activities, and sports activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                             Kemajuan teknologi telah membuka peluang baru di sektor pendidikan, seperti peningkatan literasi digital dan kesadaran etika digital. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam pemahaman penerapan teknologi yang efektif dalam pembelajaran, terutama di kalangan siswa SMA di daerah perkotaan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan siswa dalam penggunaan teknologi yang bertanggung jawab secara etis dan etika digital. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap utama: identifikasi kebutuhan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah sebuah sekolah menengah atas yang terletak di Kota Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan total 50 peserta siswa. Dari pelatihan tersebut, terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pengetahuan para siswa dalam hal literasi digital dengan rata-rata skor tes pemahaman meningkat dari 55% menjadi 80% setelah pelatihan. Siswa juga mampu menggunakan alat digital lainnya seperti Google Workspace dan Canva serta menjadi lebih sadar akan kebutuhan keamanan dan etika dalam penggunaan teknologi. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kesulitan teknis dan non-teknis, penggunaan materi interaktif yang dikombinasikan dengan metode pengajaran offline menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Program ini terbukti memiliki dampak positif dalam membentuk pengguna teknologi yang lebih bertanggung jawab dan terinformasi di kalangan siswa, dan dapat menjadi model untuk inisiatif serupa di masa depan. Kata kunci: literasi digital; pelatihan; etika digital; teknologi Pendidikan; siswa.  ABSTRACTTechnological advances have opened up new opportunities in the education sector, such as increasing digital literacy and awareness of digital ethics. However, there is still a gap in understanding the effective application of technology in learning, especially among high school students in urban areas. This community service activity aims to develop students' skills in the ethically responsible use of technology and digital ethics. The implementation of this Community Service activity is carried out in three main stages: identifying needs, implementing training, and evaluating. The partner in this activity is a high school located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, with a total of 50 student participants. From the training, there was a significant increase in students' knowledge in terms of digital literacy with an average comprehension test score increasing from 55% to 80% after the training. Students were also able to use other digital tools such as Google Workspace and Canva and became more aware of the need for security and ethics in the use of technology. Although there were some technical and non-technical difficulties, the use of interactive materials combined with offline teaching methods resolved these problems. This program has proven to have a positive impact on forming more responsible and informed technology users among students, and can be a model for similar initiatives in the future. Keywords: digital literacy; training; digital ethics; educational technology; students.

Abstract

Digital literacy is an essential ability that students must have to face the challenges of the digital era. However, many students still use technology passively without developing creative and productive skills. The "Visual Learning with Canva: Increasing Students' Digital Literacy with Interactive Design Media at SMA 23 Makassar" program aims to increase students' digital literacy through a design-based learning approach. Students will learn to create visual content such as posters, infographics, and presentations that are relevant to learning. This training integrates digital literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills as provisions for students to improve their learning abilities. The expected results of this training are an increase in students' ability to understand and use technology productively, as well as the creation of quality visual content that can support the learning process and increase participants' digital literacy.

Abstract

 Regional head elections (Pilkada) are a democratic process that reflects the social dynamics of society in choosing leaders in regional elections, using a sociological approach to understand the social facts of society. This research aims to analyze typologies that influence voter preferences.  This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach in several regions that hold regional elections. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that society can be classified into several typologies, such as pragmatic voters, ideological voters, and traditional voters. Pragmatic voters tend to vote based on personal interests or direct benefits, while ideological voters place more emphasis on the candidate's vision, mission and work program. Meanwhile, traditional voters are influenced by cultural factors, kinship, or personal relationships with candidates. Social factors such as campaign intensity, influence of public figures, and access to information also play an important role in shaping voter preferences. These findings show that voting behavior patterns are not only determined by rational aspects, but also by social and cultural values ​​inherent in society.  This research makes an important contribution in understanding voter behavior from a sociological perspective, which can be a reference for stakeholders in designing political strategies that are more inclusive and responsive to community needs. Apart from that, the results of this research can also enrich the study of political sociology, especially in the context of local democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The increasing demand for high-quality academic publications has prompted the exploration of innovative tools to streamline the research process. We conducted a study to explore how graduate students perceive using tools like Publish or Perish (PoP) and VOSviewer to improve their research productivity. The research uses a mixed-method approach including surveys and interviews of graduate students in the Universitas Negeri Makassar postgraduate program. The results show that PoP allows effective literature searches and citation analysis, and VOSviewer enables a wide coverage visual exploration of bibliometric data, including research mapping and trend analyses. However, issues concerning technical know-how and tool access were highlighted. This study highlights the promising potential of incorporating PoP and VOSviewer into the existing academic writing curricula to help graduate students develop impactful work. The paper also discusses recommendations for better tool utilization and overcoming known challenges.

Abstract

Peran gender dan struktur keluarga tradisional sering kali dibagi dengan cara yang sangat kaku dan stereotipikal. Laki-laki diharapkan untuk menjadi pencari nafkah utama, sementara perempuan lebih terfokus pada urusan rumah tangga dan pengasuhan anak, meskipun ada sedikit pergeseran sepanjang abad ke-20. Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi peran gender dan struktur keluarga Indonesia di Era Society 5.0. Studi ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus pada 3 wanita bekerja dan 3 ibu rumah tangga di Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembagian tugas domestik tidak lagi ditentukan secara rigid berdasarkan jenis kelamin, melainkan berdasarkan pada kemampuan individu, kebutuhan keluarga, dan kesepakatan bersama. Teknologi digital memainkan peran kunci dalam mentransformasi negosiasi peran, dan memfasilitasi komunikasi keluarga yang lebih transparan dan inklusif.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Munculnya teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) merupakan perhatian khusus bagi pengajaran dan pendidikan yang fokus pada penulisan ilmiah. Banyak mahasiswa yang gagal memahami konsep teknik aplikasi AI untuk menyusun tulisan mereka. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih mahasiswa mengenai penerapan AI yang tepat dan etis dalam penulisan ilmiah. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dari koordinasi awal antara tim pelaksana dan mitra institusi untuk menyusun rencana kerja, dilanjutkan dengan pemetaan kebutuhan peserta melalui survei, pengembangan materi pelatihan yang sesuai dengan latar belakang peserta, serta sosialisasi kegiatan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui workshop interaktif selama dua hari yang mencakup sesi kuliah, praktik langsung, diskusi etika AI, dan klinik penulisan. Setelah pelaksanaan, dilakukan evaluasi melalui kuesioner kepuasan dan pengumpulan tugas akhir peserta. Monitoring dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan penulisan serta evaluasi hasil tulisan yang telah disempurnakan menggunakan AI. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 70,6% peserta merasa sangat puas dan 29,4% lainnya merasa puas dengan pelatihan. Sebanyak 94,1% peserta berencana akan mengimplementasikan AI dalam penulisan ilmiah mereka. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil tidak hanya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa, tetapi juga dalam membentuk perspektif etis terkait plagiarisme. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini telah efektif, dengan dampak positif yang diharapkan dapat diterapkan dalam berbagai inisiatif pendidikan di masa mendatang.Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Buatan; Penulisan Ilmiah; Pelatihan Mahasiswa; Etika Akademik; Peningkatan Kualitas.ABSTRACTThe emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become a major concern in education, especially in academic writing. Many students struggle to understand the concepts and techniques of applying AI in their writing. Therefore, this program aimed to train students on the proper and ethical use of AI in scientific writing. The activity began with coordination between the implementing team and institutional partners to develop a work plan, followed by a needs assessment survey, development of training materials tailored to participants’ academic backgrounds, and dissemination of the program. The implementation stage included a two-day interactive workshop involving lectures, hands-on practice, discussions on AI ethics, and a writing clinic. After the training, evaluation was carried out through participant satisfaction questionnaires and submission of revised academic writing tasks. Monitoring continued with mentoring and assessment of final papers enhanced using AI. The results showed that 70.6% of participants were very satisfied, and 29.4% were satisfied with the training. Additionally, 94.1% of participants expressed their intention to implement AI in their future academic writing. These results indicate that the training was successful not only in improving students’ writing skills but also in shaping their ethical perspectives on plagiarism. Thus, the training proved to be effective, with positive impacts expected to be applied in future educational initiatives.Keywords: Artificial Intelligence; Scientific Writing; Student Training; Academic Ethics; Quality Improvement.

Abstract

This study explores how cyberculture, or digital culture formed through the use of the internet and modern technology, influences religious traditions. In this digital age, religious traditions are not only striving to survive but also evolving through adaptation and transformation. Cyberculture offers new ways for individuals to interact with their beliefs, such as through online worship and theological discussions on social media. This enables the dissemination of religious information in a more widespread and inclusive manner. However, these changes also present challenges, including those related to traditional authority and the authenticity of spiritual experiences. This study highlights the importance of balancing technological progress with preserving the essence and fundamental values of religious traditions. Thus, this research aims to provide insights into how religion can remain relevant and meaningful while supporting communities in the digital age.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis strategi kelangsungan hidup perempuan miskin pekerja informal yang menghadapi tantangan besar dalam kondisi ekonomi yang tidak pasti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap lima perempuan pekerja informal, seperti penjual kue, manusia silver, pedagang sepatu preloved, dan penjual pisang. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, ditemukan bahwa perempuan ini mengelola keuangan dengan bijak, memanfaatkan keterampilan tambahan, serta mengandalkan dukungan sosial dari keluarga dan komunitas untuk bertahan hidup. Temuan ini dijelaskan melalui lensa teori ekonomi feminis, yang menyoroti ketidaksetaraan gender dalam dunia kerja informal. Meskipun mereka memiliki potensi besar untuk mandiri secara ekonomi, perempuan pekerja informal tetap memerlukan dukungan yang lebih besar dalam bentuk pelatihan keterampilan, bantuan modal, dan akses ke layanan kesehatan. Artikel ini menyarankan perlunya kebijakan yang lebih inklusif dan berbasis pada pemberdayaan perempuan di sektor informal untuk mengurangi ketimpangan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka.
