Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of using Wattpad on reading and writing skills, especially in learning literature in Indonesian language subjects at school. This descriptive qualitative research uses a literature study method with research data in the form of secondary data relevant to the topic under discussion. The data taken comes from books, encyclopedias, and research articles that have been published in national journals. The data collection procedure used in this research uses Mary W. George's literature theory with comparative data analysis techniques to identify comparisons of each relevant research to gain new insights into research on the use of Wattpad media. The results of this study show that the use of the Wattpad application has a role as a medium that can motivate students to learn literature. This is important because, in addition to improving students' reading and writing skills, learning becomes more lively, and students have their own pride because when they publish their writing, they are considered to have works that can be read by peers and all Wattpad users.

Abstract

The implementation of performance assessment from the teacher's perspective is the focus of a study that aims to determine the application of performance assessment in Indonesian language learning in two junior high schools in Mojokerto district. As part of authentic research, performance assessment is considered as one of the assessment methods that not only assesses results, but also the process that students go through. This study used quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. Quantitative analysis was obtained through the results of questionnaires distributed to eight Indonesian language teachers as research sources. The questionnaire used includes a closed questionnaire and an open questionnaire. While qualitative analysis was carried out through the results of guided interviews with related teachers. The results of this study are, of the eight teachers, 2 of them have not implemented performance assessment. Of the teachers who have done performance assessment, it turns out that not all of them analyzed before implementing the assessment. Many obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing the assessment. The obstacles experienced consist of environmental factors, student conditions, and school facilities. However, efforts continue to be made to minimize the obstacles that arise, such as coordination and evaluation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the contributions and obstacles faced during the use of cyber literature in learning literature for the native generation. This research uses the literature review method with secondary data as its research object. Secondary data is obtained from literature considered relevant to the topic through searches on several platforms such as google scholar, sinta, scopus, and researcg gate. In addition, this research also limits the data source within a five-year period from 2019 to 2024. The steps used in data analysis include identification, categorisation, thematic analysis, synthesis, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the literary cyber platformis a platformthat can accommodate learning, especially in the field of literature. Literary cyber platforms are effective in increasing students' learning motivation. In addition, the literary cyber platformalso provides a place for students not only to learn to read and write, but can also be used as a medium for analysing literary texts. The analysis of literary texts is realised through the comment section provided on each platformwhere writers and readers can engage in meaningful communication. This communication is a form of analysis of the literary text presented.
