Abstract

The higher level of cheese consumption, an increase of 52% in the span of 5 years, opens up opportunities for the establishment of cheese factories. This study aimed to analyze the sensory differences of 3 processed cheese products on the market, namely MEG multipurpose cheese (KM), Kraft Cheddar (KK), and Prochiz Gold (KP). Sensory analysis was carried out on 3 samples using a descriptive test on 13 semi-trained panelists. The results of this study were that the panelists preferred KK because it had a distinctive milky aroma and a strong cheese characteristic; stronger milk, cheese, savory, salty flavors; good sliceability; softer texture and mouthfeel. Abstract

XYZ is one of the companies that manufacture seat components for four-wheel motor vehicles in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to control and reduce the defect rate in the production of Re-Clean seats. This research uses the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method. With the Quality Control Circle (QCC), we can more easily identify, analyze and solve various work-related problems and apply them in the company's operational activities. The results of this study show that the lack of welding quality is due to the high cycle time of the welding process due to machine factors, method factors and human factors. Of the factors that cause high cycle time problems in the welding process, there is a dominant factor. By looking at the process time of each factor, this makes it easier to overcome problems that are a priority to address. In NG, this happens because the amperage is too high and also the distance between the electrode and the base metal is too far. Over Spatter welding error, meaning spatter is welding spatter, actually if the spatter can be cleaned it is not defective. However, if the amount is excessive and cannot be cleared, it is categorized as a visual impairment. The way to prevent it is to reduce the current as recommended.

Abstract

Chinese culture plays an important role in shaping the dynamics of family businesses in Indonesia, especially in the context of increasingly intense business competition. This study aims to address gaps in understanding the influence of Chinese culture, including guanxi culture, Confucian inheritance, and the succession process, as well as strategic orientation, namely entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, on firm performance, with competitive advantage as a mediating variable. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a data analysis approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected through surveys distributed to 232 Chinese family businesses in Bekasi and DKI Jakarta. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, where companies were chosen based on certain criteria, such as family structure, years of operation, and family member involvement in management. The data collection instrument consisted of structured questionnaires containing questions about corporate culture, strategic orientation, competitive advantage, and firm performance. The results of the study show that competitive advantage significantly mediates the influence of the succession process, entrepreneurial orientation, and market orientation on firm performance. However, guanxi culture and Confucian inheritance do not show a significant influence on firm performance, either directly or through competitive advantage. These findings contribute theoretically with five novel models related to the relationship between Chinese culture, strategic orientation, and firm performance in Indonesia. The implications of this study suggest that Chinese family businesses need to focus more on innovation, market adaptability, and succession management to maintain competitiveness and enhance business performance, while traditional values such as guanxi and Confucianism may require further adaptation to remain relevant in the modern business context.

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance through job satisfaction. The approach used in this research is a quantitative. The sample size in this study consists of 42 respondents, all of whom are employees of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, KCU Cikarang Branch. The research data were obtained from questionnaire responses and analyzed using SEM PLS analysis techniques. The findings of this study conclude that organizational culture does not influence employee performance. However, when mediated by job satisfaction, organizational culture can affect performance. This implies that the existing organizational culture at BCA Bank does not always lead to high employee performance; to ensure that organizational culture improves employee performance, it must enhance employee satisfaction. Work discipline can directly and indirectly influence performance through job satisfaction; employees with high work discipline tend to have high performance, especially if their discipline also enhances their job satisfaction.
