Abstract

This research aims to increase VO2max in Pembalang FC football players, and this is realized in the form of research using Interval Training (IT) Exercises and Fartlek Exercises to Increase VO2max for Pembalang FC Football Players. Through the theme raised by this research, it is hoped that it can be a solution for the Pembalang FC football team to overcome the problems of the players and the team itself. The research design that the author used in this research was a pre-experimental design. This research will use a total sampling technique by taking the entire population, namely 30 people. Then they will be divided into two training groups, each consisting of 15 people. This research will use a total sampling technique by taking the entire population, namely 30 people. Then they will be divided into two training groups, each consisting of 15 people. 2 on the Independent Sample t test on Interval training and Fartlek training. The basis for decision making to determine the difference is if the sig (2-tailed) value is < 0.05 then there is a significant difference, if the sig (2-tailed) value is > 0.05 then there is no difference. The results obtained in the difference test are sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is no difference in the increase in VO2Max between Interval Training and Fartlek training.

Abstract

Background: Post-abdominal surgery patients often experience impaired lung function due to pain, decreased lung expansion, and prolonged immobilization. Early mobilization is one of the recommended non-pharmacological interventions to accelerate lung function recovery. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of early mobilization on the recovery of lung function in post-abdominal surgery patients. Method: This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach. control group. A sample of 40 patients was divided into an intervention group (n=20) who were given early mobilization 6–12 hours after surgery, and a control group (n=20) who were given mobilization according to standard hospital procedures. Pulmonary function parameters were measured using spirometry (Forced Vital Capacity / FVC and Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second/FEV1) on days 1 and 3 postoperatively. Data analysis used paired t-test and independent t-test with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: The study showed a significant increase in FVC and FEV1 values in the intervention group compared to the control group (p=0.001). Patients who underwent early mobilization had faster lung function recovery, with a reduced incidence of respiratory complications such as atelectasis. Conclusion: Early mobilization is effective in accelerating the recovery of lung function in patients following abdominal surgery. Implementation of early mobilization can be used as a standard intervention in postoperative care to prevent respiratory complications.

Abstract

Background: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a crucial step in treating cardiac arrest. Emergency nurses' ability to perform CPR is greatly influenced by the knowledge and skills gained from Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of BHD training on nurses' ability to perform CPR in the Emergency Department (IGD). Method: Quantitative research with pre-experimental design one group pretest-posttest Design. A sample of 30 emergency room nurses was selected using total sampling. The instruments consisted of a knowledge questionnaire, a skills observation sheet, and a CPR implementation guide according to American Heart Association standards. Association (AHA) 2020. Data analysis using paired t- test with α=0.05. Results: The study showed a significant increase in nurses' abilities after receiving BHD training. The average knowledge score increased from 65.3 to 87.6, while the average skill score increased from 60.1 to 89.2 (p=0.000). Conclusion: BHD training has a significant effect on improving nurses' ability to perform CPR in the ER.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is common among the elderly and is a major risk factor for various cardiovascular complications. Early detection of blood pressure and education on hypertension prevention are crucial in the community, particularly at the elderly health post (Posyandu). This community service activity aims to increase the elderly's knowledge about hypertension prevention and early detection through routine blood pressure checks. The implementation method included counseling, interactive discussions, and direct blood pressure checks at the Posyandu. The activity results showed an increase in the elderly's understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and several elderly with high blood pressure were identified who were then referred to health facilities. This activity is expected to serve as a preventive and promotive measure to reduce the incidence of hypertension in the community.
