Abstract

State Islamic University libraries are striving to become research libraries. Since humanities are the core discipline in most State Islamic Universities, a new service concept—digital humanities—has been introduced to support research activities. This study explores the implementation of digital humanities in three State Islamic University libraries: UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that while the libraries have sufficient librarians, their involvement in research activities is not extensive or proactive. Additionally, the facilities and infrastructure necessary to support digital humanities are inadequate. Although policies supporting digital humanities exist, there is a lack of strategic programs to explore and fully enhance library use and involvement in research. Furthermore, internal cooperation between institutions has been established but remains limited, indicating a need for libraries to adopt a more proactive role. These insights underscore the challenges and opportunities in implementing digital humanities within State Islamic University libraries, providing a foundation for future strategic initiatives to enhance their research support capabilities.

Abstract

Assessment of health service can be viewed from the recording on the file of medical record, which can provide information about the patient's social identity, diagnosis of disease, disease history, examination and treatment which must be kept confidential by doctors, nurses, health workers and manager of the healthcare facility. This study aimed to describe legal review of the medical information release in ensuring patient confidentiality. The research used normative-juridical approach through literature study which examines secondary data in the form of primary and secondary legal materials. The results of the study showed that health care facilities are responsible for protecting health information contained in medical records against possible loss, damage, falsification and unauthorized access. Maintaining information security, accuracy of information and ease of access to information are demanded to health service organizations and health practitioners as well as authorized third parties. Meanwhile, parties who need information must always respect patient privacy. Healthcare facilities are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the information contained in the medical record and are not allowed to release it to irresponsible people/institutions. Requests for medical information must go through the established procedures to protect patient privacy and avoid lawsuits.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Fatwa DSN-MUI Number 004 of 2003 concerning productive zakat by LAZISNU in Muaro Jambi, in supporting community business capital from the perspective of Maqasid Syariah law. This research is field research, data collected through interviews and direct observation, and supported by literature research which includes literature related to productive zakat, sharia economic law, Al-Quran, and Hadith. The results show that LAZISNU applies productive zakat to help mustahiq who meet certain criteria in starting or developing a business, aiming to increase their economic independence. The selection process is done by verification that considers the economic condition, entrepreneurial potential, and mustahiq's business plan. From a Maqasid Syariah perspective, this implementation is in line with the principles of hifz al-mal (maintenance of wealth) and hifz al-nafs (maintenance of soul), where the distributed zakat not only provides short-term benefits, but also strengthens the mustahiq's economy in a sustainable manner. Zakat recipients, through business capital, are expected to be able to create a steady income and fulfill basic needs such as food and shelter. Nonetheless, the main challenge is the low level of public literacy about productive zakat as sustainable business capital, so the awareness to give zakat and its utilization is still low.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Bau Nyale tradition among the Sasak Tribe people on the island of Lombok from the perspective of the fiqhiyah principle "Isti'maalu An-Naas Hujjatun Yajibu Al-'Amalu Bihaa". Bau Nyale, which means "catching sea worms", is an annual tradition containing spiritual, social, and economic values important to the Sasak community. The research method uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a literature review. Primary sources are data or information obtained directly from the research object in the form of documentation, notes, or written reports from the Bau Nyale event. Secondary sources are data or information that has been collected and published by others in the form of books and scientific articles that discuss traditions relevant to this tradition and Islamic sharia. The results of the study show that several aspects of the Bau Nyale tradition can be considered following sharia principles, such as togetherness and gratitude. However, there are also elements of mystical beliefs that need clarification and adjustment so as not to contradict the teachings of Islam. The role of scholars and religious leaders is very important in providing guidance and views on the adjustment of this tradition.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate financing practices with murabahah contracts carried out by Islamic Banks in Indonesia. While this practice can generate significant profits, there are risks of adherence to sharia principles. The main issue involves the use of the wakalah contract and the existence of murabahah objects. Research shows that wakalah contracts are still made at the same time as murabahah contracts, and the existence of murabahah objects is not always ascertained by Islamic banks. In overcoming this dilemma, Islamic banks need to maintain a balance between seeking maximum profit and complying with Islamic financial principles. Strategies such as ensuring compliance with Sharia principles, product diversification, employee and customer education, building partnerships, developing technology, and maintaining transparency and accountability can be adopted. By implementing this strategy, Islamic banks are expected to achieve adequate profitability while still adhering to Sharia principles, strengthening their position in increasingly competitive financial markets.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the learning process, requiring teachers to adapt in order to fulfill their roles as educators and mentors. Learning during the pandemic differs greatly from pre-pandemic methods, and teachers must choose appropriate strategies to ensure effective teaching continues. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers to enhance PAI learning during the pandemic at SDN 1 Nunggal Rejo, and to examine how the learning process was conducted during this period. This qualitative research was conducted at SDN 1 Nunggal Rejo using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were collected, processed, and analyzed to draw conclusions. The findings indicate that teachers implemented several strategic approaches, including goal-oriented instruction, structured procedures, and clearly defined learning activities. Teachers acted as facilitators, and although discipline and time management were challenging, learning continued through a combination of online and limited face-to-face methods.
