Abstract

The level of knowledge of university residents regarding the internal quality assurance system (SPMI) of higher education at Tanjungpura University is still at a low level and needs to be developed before the formation of an internal quality assurance system for educational units. Apart from that, educators' understanding is closely related to national education standards and their duties are still at a sufficient level so there is still a need to increase understanding in order to be able to carry out processes and evaluations in accordance with the standards. There is a need for development of teaching and education staff in terms of knowledge and skills in implementing internal quality assurance through special teams from outside the education unit to schools who are ready to be able to implement an internal quality assurance system. To be able to guarantee the quality of education, educational units need to form SPMI according to applicable standards and regulations. Even though the National Higher Education Standards (SNPT). seen from the accreditation score that reaches the highest standards. For this reason, studies are needed regarding the internal quality assurance system at the University so that it can gradually meet the SNPT or even exceed it

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive digital module based on local wisdom as an alternative learning medium to support the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in elementary schools. The background of this research is based on the need for contextual, engaging learning media that can instill local cultural values in students from an early age. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The trial subjects in this study were fourth-grade students of GKPS Rambungmerah Private Elementary School in an area with a rich local culture. The module was developed by combining thematic curriculum content with folklore, traditional games, and regional songs, packaged in an interactive digital application-based format. Validation results by material and media experts indicated that the module had very good feasibility, while field trials showed increased learning motivation, material understanding, and positive attitudes towards local culture. These findings indicate that an interactive digital module based on local wisdom can be an effective, relevant learning innovation, and in line with the spirit of Merdeka Belajar.

Abstract

Learning media is an innovation to respond to the educational revolution. Innovation in learning media is a strategic step to face changes in education. The ongoing development of learning media plays a role in increasing student interest and learning outcomes. The implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in natural science education is anticipated to enhance scientific literacy, particularly among elementary school students. By incorporating three-dimensional media, the approach becomes more adaptable, interactive, and innovative, leveraging various objects as target markers. The objective of this study is to investigate and assess the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) media in teaching natural science subjects in elementary schools. The research method employed is a literature review, utilizing a literature study approach for data collection. The development and use of AR media in various natural science topics have shown numerous positive effects on enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes. These topics include learning about animal diets, ecosystems, plants, and animals that undergo complete metamorphosis, among others. Consequently, students can foster creative qualities, gauge their emotional intelligence, and become more competitive and collaborative with their peers.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of a thematic approach in social studies learning to improve the activeness of elementary school students. This type of research uses an exploratory qualitative approach. The study was conducted at the YP HKBP Pematangsiantar Private Elementary School. The subjects in this study were fifth-grade students, class teachers, and the principal. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique. The results showed that before the thematic approach was implemented, social studies learning was monotonous and did not actively engage students. After the thematic approach was implemented, there was a significant increase in student activeness indicators, such as asking questions, answering questions, discussing in groups, and completing assignments independently. The thematic approach has been proven to be able to connect social studies material with students' real lives, thus creating a more enjoyable, contextual, and participatory learning atmosphere. These findings are supported by the theories of meaningful learning (Ausubel), constructivism (Vygotsky), and active involvement. This study recommends that teachers design social studies learning with a thematic approach in a structured and relevant manner to the students' local context. Research has proven that this approach fosters active student involvement and enhances the overall quality of the learning process at the elementary school level.
