Abstract

The power transfer system is an inseparable part of a vehicle unit, this component functions as a power source from the engine, increasing the moment generated by the engine according to the needs of the load and road conditions and reversing the rotation. Based on the implementation of the Failures Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) method which is used to evaluate components in a system by examining the potential failure model to determine the impact that will occur on the component or work system, it is found that the highest Risk Piority Number (RPN) is found in the Seal component. Piston Matic 450, Multiple Clutch/Clutch Pack 360, Selenoid Valve 324. Each potential failure model is classified based on the impact it can have on the success of the system or on user safety by dividing the categories using Logic Tree Analysis (LTA) with the results of most components automatic transmission is included in the type B failure (Outage Problem) where the component causes failure of all or part of the system. Based on the RPN value, the right maintenance is Predictive Maintenance.

Abstract

One of the metal welding processes required by the manufacturing industry is gas arc welding (GMAW). The welding process that is capable of transmitting large amounts of heat at high speeds is gas electric welding or GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding). The design mechanism for the movement of the X and Y axes in the development of GMAW welding holders uses the stages of finding ideas, studying literature, identifying problems, designing, making tools and testing machines. The purpose of this study was to design a mechanism for moving the X and Y axes in the development of an automatic GMAW torch holder machine and to calculate the machine elements in the development of an automatic GMAW torch holder machine. The process of designing and constructing the movement of the X and Y axes in the development of an automatic GMAW welding torch holder machine is carried out with a design procedure that is used as a reference in solving problems. The track shaft uses chrome steel with a diameter of 25 mm and a length of 800 mm, Linear bearings use type SCS25UU with an inner diameter of 25 mm, Linear rail shafts use aluminum alloy material with a diameter of 25 mm which is used to support the end of the track shaft, Ballscrew uses the SFU 2005 type with a size of 3/4 inch which is equipped with a ballscrew nut and also a nut housing, Bearing block uses a UCP type with a diameter of 20 mm, Flexible coupling measuring 5 mm to 10 mm is used to connect the drive screw with the stepper motor, The stepper motor is used as the main power to drive the drive screw type Nema 17 (17HD48002H-22B) with the specifications Step Angle: 1.8o, Rated Current: 1.5 Ampere, Voltage : 2.7V.

Abstract

Hampir seluruh masyarakat tidak memiliki kesiapan dalam menghadapi situasi pandemi, secara khusus masyarakat Kampung Seprih 005/001 Kebonmanis. Pembatasan aktivitas mengakibatkan menurunnya kegiatan perdagangan warga. Pengetahuan yang terbatas dan pengalaman yang belum memadai, menghambat perkembangan usaha dagang warga yang notabene penghasilan setiap bulannya tidak tetap. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, solusi yang dibutuhkan untuk peningkatan perekonomian warga adalah kegiatan kewirausahaan bersama di lingkungan Kampung Seprih. Kegiatan wirausaha bersama ini dapat terlaksana dengan memanfaatkan lahan warga yang belum produktif. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menggambarkan potensi usaha mandiri Kampung Seprih menjadi Kampung Produktif Seprih dan memberikan pelatihan serta pendampingan penulisan proposal sponsorship kepada warga secara khusus GEMA (Gerakan Pemuda Nol Lima) Kampung Seprih. Kampung Produktif Seprih digambarkan pada denah pekerjaan yang terbagi menjadi 4 area, yaitu lahan produksi, lahan peternakan, lahan pertanian, dan lahan ruang baca (perpustakaan warga Kampung Seprih). Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan proposal sponsorship dilaksanakan selama 12 kali pertemuan dan diikuti oleh pengurus dan anggota GEMA. Proposal sponsorship dikirimkan ke PFmuda 2022 melalui aplikasi yang tersedia pada tanggal 18 Mei 2022 pukul 19.44 WIB. Harapan dari Penulis dan tim beserta GEMA Kampung Seprih adalah proposal tersebut lolos dan didanai kegiatan selanjutnya. Namun jika hasilnya belum sesuai rencana, maka GEMA dapat mengajukan proposalnya ke instansi lain dengan bekal pelatihan yang sudah diterima.

Abstract

Many farmers Banjarwaru complain that goat growth is less than optimal, and low productivity. Based on these problems, this community service program aims to ensure that farmers understand and are able to manage goat farms according to standards independently. The method used in this community service program is to look at achievement indicators from socialization activities and cage management training and animal health recording. Based on the achievement indicators from this activity, it shows that 100% of the 20 breeders understand livestock management, housing, and the correct way to record livestock health. A total of 15 people have been able to use maintenance tools and techniques for handling diseases infected by livestock. Based on the results of the achievement indicators obtained from this service activity, it was concluded that breeders in Banjarwaru Village knew and understood the correct way to raise goats and were able to carry out maintenance activities according to good standards.

Abstract

Nypa palm (Nypa fruticans) possesses various potential uses, one of which is as a source of cellulose. Cellulose can be a raw material in industries such as paper production, pharmaceuticals, and biomaterials. However, the fiber of the nipa palm frond tends to be brittle and fragile. Reducing the particle size of the fiber can enhance its mechanical strength, which can be achieved through acid hydrolysis using a 10% strong acid solution. This study aims to characterize the cellulose extracted from nipa palm fronds after acid hydrolysis. The alpha-cellulose content obtained was 39.626%, with a lignin content of 18.633%. Morphological characterization revealed that the cellulose particles ranged from 615.814 μm to 840.719 μm in size. Scanning Electron Microscope–Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) analysis showed that the fibers were elongated with irregular lengths and were composed primarily of carbon and oxygen elements. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy identified the presence of O–H, C–H, and C–O functional groups as the main components of cellulose, along with C=O groups associated with lignin. These findings indicate that acid hydrolysis effectively reduces the particle size of nipa palm frond fibers and enhances their physical characteristics, making them more suitable for advanced material applications.
