Abstract

Abstract: Improving the quality of education is a trigger for strategies in management to improve the quality and strength of schools. Every school must have a desire to compete so as to obtain quality school quality that can be viewed well by the wider community. Thus, the role of management is very important needed in an educational institution in order to create a better quality of education than before. Total Quality Management (TQM) is one of the management concepts that can help in an organization to improve quality. This article aims to introduce how school management in improving the quality of education in schools includes: (1) Programs that can improve school quality (2) Program planning that can improve the quality of education in schools (3) Implementation of school programs that can improve school quality management (4) Evaluation of programs in improving the quality of education in schools. UM Laboratory Junior High School has various excellent programs that bridge schools to high-quality educational institutions. One of these programs is the Creativity Event (JANGTAS). This article uses qualitative research methods where data are obtained through observation and interviews as well as various other literature as a basis for conducting research. It is hoped that the planned program can improve the quality and quality of education in schools. Abstrak: Peningkatan mutu pendidikan merupakan pemicu strategi dalam manajemen untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kekuatan sekolah. Setiap sekolah pasti memiliki keinginan untuk bersaing sehingga diperoleh kualitas sekolah yang berkualitas yang dapat dilihat dengan baik oleh masyarakat luas. Dengan demikian, peran manajemen sangat penting dibutuhkan dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan agar tercipta kualitas pendidikan yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Total Quality Management (TQM) adalah salah satu konsep manajemen yang dapat membantu dalam suatu organisasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan bagaimana manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah meliputi: (1) Program yang dapat meningkatkan mutu sekolah (2) Perencanaan program yang dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah (3) Pelaksanaan program sekolah yang dapat meningkatkan manajemen mutu sekolah (4) Evaluasi program dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. SMP Laboratorium UM memiliki berbagai program unggulan yang menjembatani sekolah dengan lembaga pendidikan yang berkualitas. Salah satu program tersebut adalah Acara Kreativitas (JANGTAS). Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dimana data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara serta berbagai literatur lainnya sebagai dasar untuk melakukan penelitian. Diharapkan program yang direncanakan dapat meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah.

Abstract

Kurikulum menjadi sebuah kebijakan pemerintah yang memiliki peran dalam menentukan arah pendidikan dengan mengatur tujuan, metode hingga evaluasi pembelajaran. pada jenjang pendidikan menengah, pengelolaan kurikulum menjadi krusial untuk membekali siswa melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Implementasi kurikulum sesuai dengan karakteristik sekolah dan siswa seperti di SMAN 3 Malang melalui program ICAS dan Kelas Olimpiade. Hal tersebut menjadi strategi manajemen pendidikan menengah di sekolah untuk meningkatkan prestasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen pendidikan yang diterapkan dalam program ICAS dan Kelas Olimpiade di SMAN 3 Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai strategi manajemen kurikulum pendidikan menengah dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa dengan program unggulan ICAS dan kelas persiapan OSN. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAN 3 Malang telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka secara maksimal dengan berbagai strategi yang mencakupi persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi pembelajaran yang melibatkan stakeholder sekolah untuk mendukung efektifitasnya. Program unggulan seperti ICAS dan kelas OSN sudah berjalan baik, sekaligus menjadi upaya sekolah dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan siswa. sementara keberhasilan kurikulum diukur melalui refleksi guru dan pencapaian pembelajaran siswa.

Abstract

The role of the principal as an education manager is needed to support the effective and efficient running of the education process in the school. Leadership is the activity of managing other people as subordinates. Leadership is seen as a trigger for various activities, processes, and willingness to change the point of view or physical mentality of a group of people, both in formal and informal organizational relationships. The effectiveness of school administration personnel needs to be assessed to see the extent to which the effectiveness of school administration personnel carries out their duties and functions. This effectiveness is certainly inseparable from the leadership role of school administration personnel as managers who provide motivation, encouragement and direction to those concerned. Effectiveness is a level of success achieved by a person or group of people in a certain way in accordance with the standard goals that have been prepared. In other words, the more plans that are successfully achieved, the more effective the activity can be said to be. Good administrative staff are administrative staff who succeed can be seen through the implementation of good and consistent responsibility tasks to support the achievement of effective performance. This research uses a type of literature review research, namely looking for theoretical references that are relevant to the topic or problem specified. School administrators are an important part of the education system that has the function of supporting the continuity of school operations. School administration personnel are responsible for managing staffing, finance, student affairs, infrastructure, public relations, and curriculum activities. The result of this study is that the leadership role of the school principal is considered important to improve the effectiveness of the performance of school administrative personnel. To create a productive and efficient work environment, it is very important for school principals to exercise leadership and improve the effectiveness of school administration staff performance.
