Abstract

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows users to create, manage, and analyze data in a table or worksheet format. Microsoft Excel is useful for performing various business tasks such as inventory management, financial report generation, budget planning, and more. The utilization of Microsoft Excel applications for data processing plays a very crucial role in the world of work. This community service activity aims to improve the skills and understanding of members of the Central Java HRD Association in the use of Microsoft Excel. Through this training, participants will have the ability to optimize the utilization of Excel and increase productivity in their daily activities. In addition, the Microsoft Excel intermediate level training also provides participants with the opportunity to understand basic programming concepts. The evaluation results showed a positive level of acceptance from participants on the suitability and usefulness of the material presented. The majority of participants indicated high satisfaction with the training, indicating improved skills in using Microsoft Excel. This community service activity succeeded in having a positive impact in improving the competence of Central Java HRD Association members in utilizing Microsoft Excel technology in their scope of work.

Abstract

Internet technology continues to have a significant impact on digital media, such as text, images, audio, and video. One effect is the ease of exchange, distribution, and duplication of digital data; on the other hand, this ease raises the problem of digital data being protected by copyright or digital data confidentiality. Watermarking is a way to protect digital data rights. Extensive research on watermarking has been conducted, including a hybrid DWT-DCT-SVD approach. Several studies have found weaknesses in the message insertion process; for example, the time required to insert a watermark image is relatively long, particularly for large images. To address the problem of long message insertion times, this study applies a compression process to the original image before the watermark image insertion process. The original image to be inserted into the watermark image is compressed using the run-length encoding (RLE) algorithm. The results of RLE compression demonstrate that image file size is reduced significantly, which optimizes the watermarking process. The experimental results demonstrate that watermarked images with RLE compression preprocessing exhibit better imperceptibility and comparable or improved PSNR values. Specifically, the image "Elaine" showed a PSNR improvement from 28.7541 to 31.4502 with RLE compression. These findings demonstrate that combining DWT-DCT-SVD with RLE compression not only reduces watermarking time but also maintains or enhances image quality, providing a robust solution for digital copyright protection.

Abstract

Medical images, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-rays, and ECG, are crucial for diagnostics; however, they present significant data security challenges. This study introduces a novel watermarking technique that utilizes discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) to enhance the security, confidentiality, and integrity of medical images. In addition, Run Length Encoding (RLE) is implemented for efficient compression, which significantly reduces data memory requirements. The proposed method demonstrated a notable improvement in the peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), increasing by up to 5 dB compared to existing techniques, and achieved a file size reduction of 15-30%. These advances ensure that high-quality images consume less storage space while maintaining diagnostic integrity. The improved PSNR values indicate that the watermark remains imperceptible, making the proposed method highly effective for clinical applications. Compared to existing methods, the proposed method offers enhanced robustness against digital attacks and better image quality preservation. These findings support the secure and efficient handling of medical image data, thereby promoting their use in clinical environments.

Abstract

YouTube is a website that allows people to upload and exchange videos. YouTube is an effective social media platform for companies to introduce their products through video content. YouTube is developing into an effective tool for business. YouTube offers live broadcasts of product or service demos, YouTubers can record and post videos about the offers they want, and these offers can attract clients. With millions of videos produced every day, YouTube social media has a good chance of getting videos seen, so you have the opportunity to succeed in online business using YouTube media. Another advantage of social media is that YouTube can improve their marketing techniques and gain a better understanding of their audience by using the analytical tools that YouTube offers. Therefore, YouTube serves as an important tool for doing business online, besides being a place to share YouTube videos. Considering the background information provided, optimizing YouTube social media aims to motivate and improve the abilities of Dawis mothers who want or are currently entrepreneurship in utilizing YouTube as an online business medium. Mrs. Dawis can improve viewers' understanding and retention of knowledge by producing more visually interesting informational material or videos on YouTube. People are more likely to understand and retain knowledge when it is presented on YouTube in an original and engaging way. Therefore, optimizing social media is needed to help Dawis mothers develop their capacity to produce interesting and successful YouTube videos. Thus, Dawis women can use YouTube as a platform for online commerce and entrepreneurship more effectively. This community service aims to optimize the use of YouTube social media as an entrepreneurial tool for Dasa Wisma (Dawis) women in Amposari Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City. This program was implemented by the Community Service (PKM) team from the Muhammadiyah Semarang Institute of Statistics and Business Technology in March 2024. This activity included theoretical and practical training involving 25 participants from various RTs in the village. The methods used include interviews, discussions, lectures, and questions and answers, with the aim of exploring online business ideas and improving the entrepreneurial spirit of participants

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology, especially the internet and social media, has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including the business world. The internet has become a vital platform for running an online business, providing easy access to information and expanding market reach without geographic limitations. One social media platform that is increasingly popular in supporting online businesses is Shopee. This research aims to examine how using Shopee can increase income for online business people in Amposari Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City. The method for carrying out this research includes preparation stages, training implementation, and evaluation. Training activities were carried out by lecturers and students of the Muhammadiyah Semarang Institute of Statistics and Business Technology for one month in March 2024. The training participants were Dasa Wisma women who were involved in various sectors such as agriculture, animal husbandry, and waste management. The training uses lectures, discussion, and question-and-answer methods to explore participants' ideas or opinions about online business development and increasing digital literacy. The research results showed that the participants were very cooperative and enthusiastic in all training activities. There are no significant obstacles that hinder the implementation of activities. The training material on Shopee social media was well received by participants, with 80% of participants understanding the content of the material presented. This training improved participants' abilities in optimizing business through social media, especially Shopee, and fostered an entrepreneurial spirit to improve people's lives. The conclusion of this research shows that Shopee has a significant influence on increasing online business revenue and offers great potential for new and established businesses. However, further research is needed to explore the most effective strategies for utilizing Shopee features to maximize revenue.

Abstract

This community service program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills relevant to facing the challenges of the digital workforce. The activity was attended by 40 students, with materials covering four main topics: Understanding the Digital Era Workforce, Key Soft Skills for the Digital Era, Building Competencies for the Digital Workforce, and Preparing for Career Success. In addition, participants were guided in creating an individual Action Plan to prepare themselves for career success in the future. The methods used in this program included material presentations, interactive discussions, and the development of personal action plans, aiming to enhance both technical and non-technical skills needed in the digital workforce. Evaluation results show that 75% of students rated the material as excellent, 20% as good, and 5% found it somewhat beneficial. This indicates the program’s success in providing significant value to participants. This program is expected to enhance students' readiness to enter the increasingly digital and technology-driven job market, while providing valuable insights for planning and developing their careers. Moving forward, this activity can serve as a model for developing more effective community service programs that align with the needs of the modern workforce.

Abstract

The need for crude oil greatly affects economic activities on a micro and macro scale. Indonesia is one of the countries that produces crude oil, although the amount produced is not as large as countries in the Middle East. The global price of crude oil has a direct impact on Indonesia's rising fuel prices. To find out the world price of crude oil in the future, forecasting can be done. Widuri type crude oil is one of the crude oils that is a priority in Indonesia. This study compares the accuracy of forecasting the price of Widuri type crude oil with the MAPE accuracy calculation method and the forecasting method compared is the ARIMA method with the FTS Chen method.Keywords: forecasting, Oil, ARIMA, Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) Chen.

Abstract

Breast cancer remains a leading cause of mortality among women worldwide, emphasizing the urgent need for accurate diagnostic methods. This research addresses the challenges of early detection by leveraging Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for the classification of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data. Using a publicly available Kaggle dataset consisting of 54,676 MRI images categorized into "Normal" and "Cancer" classes, the dataset was split into 80% for training and 20% for validation. A modified CNN architecture was developed, incorporating optimized layers and hyperparameters, such as the ADAM optimizer, a learning rate of 0.0001, and a mini-batch size of 128. The proposed model achieved exceptional performance, with an accuracy of 99.72%, precision and recall of 99.98% and 99.97%, respectively, and an F1-score of 99.98%, as evaluated through a confusion matrix. These results demonstrate the model’s robustness in distinguishing between healthy and cancerous tissues, providing a reliable and efficient diagnostic tool. This study highlights the potential of CNNs to improve diagnostic precision in medical imaging, aiding clinicians and advancing AI applications in healthcare.

Abstract

In this study, the development of the Mean-based method proposed by Goyal and Kumar will be carried out by changing the initial cluster center determination step, which was originally based on the origin point O (0,0), to be replaced with the arithmetic mean. To assess the performance of the proposed method, it will be compared with the Global K-means method and the Mean-based K-means method. In this study, the performance of these methods will be measured using the Davies-Bouldin Index, and the significance of the proposed method will be measured using the Friedman Test. This study proposes a method of Improving K-Means Performance through Initial Center Optimization based on Second Global Average for Clustering Osteoporosis Diagnosis of lifestyle factors. Evaluation of K-Means performance through Initial Center Optimization based on Second Global Average with DBI measurements. The targeted experimental results of this study include improving the performance of K-means optimized through the initial center based on Second Global Average. From the results of nine experiments with the number of clusters [2,3,4,5,6], it can be seen that the method proposed in this study has the same superior performance compared to the Mean Based method and compared to the Global K-means method.
