Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) the characteristics of the psychological skills of Indonesian athletes, (2) the characteristics of the psychological skills of South Korean athletes. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive research, using a survey method with a retrospective causal-comparative research design. The population in this study were Indonesian athletes taking part in the 19th Asian Games in 2023 in China, totaling 100 athletes, consisting of 50 Indonesian athletes and 50 South Korean athletes, with an average age of male athletes of 25 years and an average age of female athletes of 20 years. The instrument used in this research is The Psychological Skills Inventory for Sport (PSIS). The data analysis technique uses parametric inferential statistics, with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the research show that: the psychological skill characteristics of South Korean athletes are better with a high average score which has a standard deviation of 19.42, while the psychological skill characteristics of Indonesian athletes are achieved with a medium average score which has a standard deviation of 13.25. The psychological characteristics of South Korean athletes are better than the psychological characteristics of Indonesian athletes. To make it better, it is hoped that further research will be carried out on the psychological characteristics of each sport.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) karakteristik keterampilan psikologis atlet Indonesia, (2) karakteristik keterampilan psikologis atlet Korea Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, menggunakan metode survei dengan desain penelitian a retrospective causal-comparative. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet Indonesia yang mengikuti gelaran Asian Games ke-19 tahun 2023 di Cina yang berjumlah 100 atlet, terdiri dari 50 atlet Indonesia dan 50 atlet Korea Selatan, dengan rerata usia atlet putra 25 tahun dan rerata usia atlet putri 20 tahun. Intrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah The Psychological Skills Inventory for Sport (PSIS).  Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik inferensial parametrik, dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: karakteristik keterampilan psikologis atlet korea Selatan lebih baik dengan capaian nilai rata-rata tinggi yang memiliki standar deviasi 19,42 sedangkan untuk karakteristik keterampilan psikologis atlet Indonesia berada pada capaian nilai rata-rata sedang yang memiliki standar deviasi 13,25. karakteristik psikologi atlet korea selatan lebih baik dari pada karakteristik psikologi atlet indonesia. agar lebih baik, diharapkan selanjutnya untuk meneliti lanjutan terhadap karakteristik psikologi pada setiap cabang olahraga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh integrasi life skills dan nonintegrasi meningkatkan life skills dalam rangka positif youth development. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest kontrol group desain. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 atlet bola basket dibawah binaan PERBASI Provinsi Gorontalo. Proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Siswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 10 siswa dan kelompok kelompok kontrol yang terdiri dari 10 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Skala Life skills scale of Sport (LSSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa life skills terintegrasi dalam program latihan bola basket. Program ini berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan life skills pada atlet bola basket. Sebagai perbandingan, life skills yang tidak terintegrasi dalam latihan bola basket tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan life skills pada atlet bola basket. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi para pelatih bola basket muda ketika menyusun program pelatihan bola basket sehingga juga mampu mengarah pada positif youth development.

Abstract

In the Society 5.0 era, digital technology has changed the way humans interact and work, including in the education sector. This article discusses the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) at SMP Negeri 6 Gorontalo City by utilizing websites as a tool to increase students' learning readiness. The aim of this service is to empower teachers through training and providing digital resources that support the implementation of PBL. The methods used in this service include teacher training and implementing a website as a learning platform. This service was carried out for one month and involved 51 teachers from various backgrounds. The evaluation results show that the use of websites in PBL not only increases student motivation and involvement in the learning process, but also makes it easier for teachers to deliver material and manage the class. The website provides an interactive and collaborative platform that enriches students' learning experience and prepares them to face the challenges of the digital era. In conclusion, the implementation of website-based PBL has succeeded in increasing students' learning readiness and changing teachers' teaching methods positively. Measuring tools used to determine the success of this activity include teacher satisfaction surveys, classroom observations, and assessing student engagement and motivation through questionnaires and interviews.

Abstract

Stress and anxiety are often experienced by boxing athletes, especially when facing national or international competitions such as the National Student Sports Week Prequalification Selection Championship (PRA-POPNAS). Internal and external pressure, including coaches' demands to achieve victory targets, as well as intensive training programs, often affect athletes' mental conditions. This research aims to determine differences in levels of stress, anxiety and depression in boxing athletes. Using descriptive quantitative methods, the research involved 32 boxing athletes as samples using total sampling techniques. Data was collected using the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-42) which has been adapted to Indonesian. Data analysis includes descriptive analysis, homogeneity test, normality test, and t test. The research results showed that 88% of athletes experienced stress, with the highest category being severe stress. As many as 91% of athletes experienced anxiety, especially very severe anxiety, while depression was detected in 53% of athletes, with the highest category being mild depression. These findings highlight the importance of paying attention to the mental health of boxing athletes when facing the stress of competition.

Abstract

The socialization of sports massage among students aims to improve their understanding and skills in maintaining body health, especially in physical activities and sports. This activity involves delivering theory, demonstrating techniques, and direct practice with the guidance of professional practitioners. This community service activity is important considering the high need for students for insight into fitness and physical recovery techniques, as well as the potential of sports massage as a business opportunity. Through this activity, students not only gain health benefits, but also the opportunity to develop skills that can be applied practically in everyday life or to support economic independence. The method of implementing the activity includes delivering theory about the basic concepts of sports massage, demonstrating techniques by professional practitioners, and direct practice that actively involves participants. Evaluation is carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure increased understanding, as well as direct observation during practice to assess mastery of techniques. The evaluation results show an increase in participants' understanding of the benefits and techniques of sports massage, as well as enthusiasm to practice it independently. However, there are suggestions to extend the duration of practice to deepen skills. With a comprehensive approach, this socialization is expected to have a positive impact on students, both individually and on the campus community.

Abstract

Kemampuan shooting secara efektif merupakan hal mendasar untuk meraih kesuksesan dalam sepak bola; namun, banyak pemain dari SSB Gorontalo United menghadapi tantangan dalam mewujudkan potensi mereka secara penuh. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menyelidiki pengaruh daya ledak pada otot tungkai dan peran kepercayaan diri pemain terhadap kemampuan shooting. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif, menggunakan pendekatan korelasi asosiatif dan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 40 pemain yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak berstrata proporsional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert bersamaan dengan penilaian fisik, khususnya standing broad jump. Analisis data yang dikumpulkan mengungkapkan bahwa daya ledak pada otot tungkai memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan shooting. Selanjutnya, kepercayaan diri juga memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan shooting. Selain itu, daya ledak otot tungkai, jika dipertimbangkan bersama dengan kepercayaan diri, menunjukkan efek positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan shooting. Temuan ini menyoroti kebutuhan kritis akan pendekatan komprehensif yang mengintegrasikan komponen fisik dan mental dalam program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan shooting. Hasilnya, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi yang berharga bagi pelatih dan pemain, dengan menekankan strategi untuk meningkatkan kinerja secara keseluruhan di lapangan sepak bola.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui integrasi life skills melalui program aktivitas fisik terhadap peningkatan life skills siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 50 mahasiswa di Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok (kelompok eksperimen n = 25 dan kelompok kontrol n = 25). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala life skills untuk adaptasi olahraga (LSSS) yang terdiri dari delapan komponen yaitu kerja sama tim, penetapan tujuan, manajemen waktu, keterampilan emosional, komunikasi, keterampilan sosial, kepemimpinan, pemecahan masalah, dan pengambilan keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas fisik yang dipadukan dengan program life skill memberikan dampak yang lebih signifikan terhadap peningkatan life skills mahasiswa dibandingkan aktivitas fisik tanpa integrasi program life skills. Temuan lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa komponen keterampilan sosial merupakan komponen keterampilan hidup yang memperoleh peningkatan tertinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi program life skills dalam aktivitas fisik memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan aktivitas fisik tanpa integrasi program life skills

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of badminton referee training conducted during the Provincial Gorontalo National Championship (KEJURNAS). The training aims to improve the competence and professionalism of local referees in leading matches, as well as to provide a positive contribution from lecturers to the development of regional sports. The training activities were carried out for two days at Hotel Rachmat, followed by an experience of refereeing matches at the TRISAKA Badminton Hall for four days until the final. This article examines the contributions of this training to the quality of refereeing and its impact on badminton in Gorontalo Province.

Abstract

Minor injuries such as sprains and muscle soreness are common issues experienced by members of exercise communities, especially among adults. Limited knowledge regarding first-aid treatment and movement rehabilitation techniques often results in suboptimal recovery. This community service program aimed to improve the understanding and skills of the “Ibu-Ibu Ceria” exercise community in Tupa Village in recognizing and handling minor injuries independently. The training used a participatory approach involving lectures, simulations, and hands-on practice. Pretest results showed an average score of 52.1, which increased to 83.2 after the training. Additionally, 85% of participants were able to independently perform basic rehabilitation techniques. These results indicate that community-based training is effective in enhancing injury literacy and basic rehabilitative skills. It is expected that this program can serve as an educational intervention model for other active community groups.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to socialize the implementation of the Fun Young Gymnastics model as an alternative in Physical Education learning that is enjoyable and capable of increasing students’ learning motivation at the junior high school level. The activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Limboto on July 11–12, 2025, involving 5 teachers and 60 seventh-grade students. The implementation method included material presentation, demonstration, and hands-on practice by participants. Evaluation was conducted through observation, questionnaires, and activity documentation. The results showed that teachers demonstrated high understanding of the material and enthusiasm to apply it in class. Students showed active engagement, positive expressions, and improved learning motivation. Questionnaire results also revealed very positive responses from both teachers and students regarding the Fun Young model. This activity confirms that a rhythmic and enjoyable movement-based approach can serve as an effective and contextual innovation in Physical Education learning. This program also produced a guidebook and practice video as sustainable outputs for future use by teachers.
