Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN SCIENCE TEST UNTUK MENGUKUR HOTS DAN DIGITAL LITERACY SISWA SMP PADA TEMA KEBISINGAN KOTA AbstractThe 2013 Curriculum emphasizes the process to improve HOTS and digital literacy. However, no appropriate science test instrument can measure the combination of these two aspects in contextual topics and relate to real-world problems. This kind of science test will engage students in-depth thinking as well as improve their digital literacy. This research aims to develop science tests based on HOTS and digital literacy in the City Noise theme for 8th-grade students. HOTS is operationally defined as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication (4C), while digital literacy is a thinking and operation skill. Borg & Gall models were adopted in this research and development. A total of 21 private school students in Semarang were subject to this research and investigated the validity and reliability of developed science tests. Based on expert judgment, the science test instrument, which consists of 25 multiple choice items and five essay items, was in a very good category. Based on the Rasch model analysis, the science tests are valid (28 items are valid) and reliable (Alpha cronbach=0.79). It can be concluded that the developed science test is feasible to use to measure HOTS and digital literacy of junior high school students on the topic of the City Noise.AbstrakKurikulum 2013 menekankan pada proses peningkatan HOTS dan digital literacy. Namun, belum banyak tersedia instrumen tes sains yang mampu mengukur kombinasi dari kedua aspek tersebut dalam topik yang kontekstual dan berhubungan dengan masalah nyata. Jenis science test seperti ini dapat melibatkan siswa dalam proses berpikir mendalam serta dapat meningkatkan digital literacy. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan science test berbasis HOTS dan digital literacy pada tema Kebisingan Kota untuk siswa kelas 8. HOTS secara operasional didefinisikan sebagai critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication (4C) sementara digital literacy sebagai thinking skills dan operation skills. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang mengadaptasi dari Borg & Gall. Sebanyak 21 siswa dari SMP swasta di Semarang digunakan sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini dan digunakan untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas science test hasil pengembangan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, instrumen science test yang terdiri dari 25 item pilihan ganda dan 5 item uraian termasuk dalam kategori baik. berdasarkan hasil analisis Rasch model, science test dikatakan valid (28 item valid) dan reliabel (Alpha Cronbach=0,79). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa science test hasil pengembangan layak digunakan untuk mengukur HOTS dan digital literacy siswa SMP pada tema Kebisingan Kota.

Abstract

Despite the adoption of Learning Management Systems (LMS) has been continuously growing in the last decade few, if any, scholars addressed the lack of the interactivity in online learning systems. The requirement for an interactive learning model has been increasingly prominent as content providers realize the importance of personalization of content suits to learners’ learning progress. This paper demonstrates the adoption of adaptive learning into existing LMS engine to overcome the limitation of either systems plugins or server specification pertinent to students’ psychomotor abilities in computer programming learning. In this regard,  the psychomotor is understood as the ability of students to write the program code as correctly as expected. In this study, a web API model that works to run an interpreter based-program code remotely was developed. The web API model can be utilized by LMS so it becomes the solution to the problem. The structure of the web API model has been adapted to the needs of the learning assessment. The implementation of the developed API web model is done in Python and PHP programming languages. The performance test was done by submitting 10 to 100 program codes simultaneously indicated no significant difference to the required resources (CPU usage and memory usage) to run the program code. Furthermore, for response time, the average time needed to run Python and PHP program code is also no significant difference. The average of CPU usage required by the web API to run a Python program code is 0.2058% with 0.5973 seconds as a response time. Meanwhile, to run the PHP program code, the average CPU usage required is 0.8074% with 0.3110 seconds response time. It can be concluded that the web API performance does not overburden the server.

Abstract

Pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dilakukan selama pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan berbagai masalah. Kejenuhan yang dialami peserta didik dan tidak pahamnya materi yang disampaikan mengakibatkan turunnya keaktifan peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Zoom terhadap peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik pada pembelajaran online BTIK di kelas VIII A SMP Takhassus Al-Qur’an Kalibeber. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian ini pada sikus I, siklus II, dan siklus III adalah meningkatnya keaktifan peserta didik dalam absensi, mengumpulkan tugas, dan menjawab pertanyaan. Akan tetapi keaktifan bertanya ketika pembelajaran dari sebelum siklus sampai siklus III tidak mengalami perubahan yaitu tetap 0%. Keaktifan peserta didik dapat meningkat karena di dalam pembelajaran online menggunakan aplikasi Zoom guru dapat berinteraksi dengan peserta didik, sehingga guru dapat memotivasi peserta didik untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

CT (Computational Thinking) involves solving problems, forming systems, and understanding human behavior by drawing basic concepts to science, CT is also included as a thinking tool that reflects the breadth of the field of computer science. This generation familiarity with technology helps to form a solid background for understanding the key to underlying concepts of computing. Hands-on activity and Minds-on activity refer to active learning which means that a person combines physical activity with mental activity in terms of learning. Hands-on activities and Minds-on activities are most effective when used to focus and encourage students to be physically involved while learning. When students are physically and mentally engaged, they activate the different parts of their brain. The research method used is a qualitative method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kreatifitas siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran Active Learning dengan Strategi Practice Rehearsal Pair; (2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan collaboration skill siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran Active Learning dengan strategi Practice Rehearsal Pair. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan true experiment design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X RPL SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 64 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes dan angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji keseimbangan, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kreatifitas siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran Active Learning dengan Strategi Practice Rehearsal Pair (Sig.=0.000 <0.05); (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan collaboration skill siswa pada penerapan model pembelajaran Active Learning dengan strategi Practice Rehearsal Pair (Sig.=0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

Setiap orang menginginkan keamanan dan kenyamanan di rumahnya, sebab keamanan dan kenyamanan hal yang sangat penting. Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah sistem keamanan untuk menjaga kenyamanan rumah dari tindakan pencurian, kebakaran, ataupun bahaya lainya yang dapat mengganggu keamanan dan kenyamanan rumah tersebut. Context Aware Smart Home merupakan istilah bagi smart home yang mempunyai kecerdasan untuk melakukan otomasi perangkat rumah berdasarkan konteks dari penghuni tersebut. Paper ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dua fitur utama smart home yaitu remote access dan home automation untuk menunjang context aware smart home systems. Artikel ini disusun dengan menerapkan metode analisis kritis terhadap literatur yang dipublikasikan sejak 2006 hingga 2018 dalam jurnal maupun prosiding berbahasa Indonesia dan Inggris. Sebagai tindak lanjut penelitian di masa depan, artikel ini mengusulkan dikembangkannya rancangan sistem smart home berbasis Internet of Things yang menjadi solusi menjaga keamanan dan kenyamanan rumah. Berbagai fitur perancangan ini mempertimbangkan kapabilitas Wemos sebagai pengontrol utama sistem context-aware smart home.Kata Kunci : Context-aware smart home, Internet of Thing

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of the work practices of the industry (prakerin) or commonly called internships students on vocational schools computer network engineering programs skills by finding the answers to (1) the constraints being experienced in the implementation of the internship students, (2) efforts are being made to facilitate school students in the implementation of the internship, (3) industrial conditions that contribute to internship, (4) the role of apprenticeship in preparing students enter the workforce, (5) swept up from apprentice implementation against the ability the practice of students. This research uses the participant from the teacher as much as 5 participants, from the students as much as 9 participants and industry as much as 4 participants with random sampling. This research uses qualitative descriptive method of data collection in the form of interviews to answer problems and use of data triangulation analysis to analyze the results of the interview. Seeing the situation, researchers are trying to find answers to these problems to motivate students of vocational school that will run an internship with the show the benefits that will be able students in internships as a provision towards career after graduation the school. In this study researchers using qualitative descriptive method to find answers to problems that arise. Researchers found that the presence of an intern is expected to be more mature, preparing and ripen in dabbling in the world of industry and society by becoming a skilled workforce. have the competitiveness as well as the presence of team work in carrying out the work with a good and professional management. With the abilities, skills and attitude to work, not with just enough diploma. Soft skill into more value for students in post-graduate internship experience. So with the findings expected to be part of the motivation of students to perform an internship with a serious and useful benefit to reach working age.

Abstract

The study examines the influence of learning management systems to the implementation of flipped classroom model in a vocational school in Indonesia. The flipped classroom is a relatively new educational model that inverts students’ time to study on lectures and time spent on homework. Despite studies have been conducted on the model, few addressed the impact of the use of a learning management system to the performance of students involved in such learning model particularly within Indonesian educational systems context. A quasi-experiment approach was applied to an experiment class and another control class. Upon the analysis, the results emphasized previously held research outcomes. Abstract

Cooperative problem-based learning (CPBL) has been introduced in engineering education as an effective technique for developing students' professional skills. Moreover, the method is essential for engaging students in learning and developing 21st century skills. However, students are usually "shocked" by such inquiry learning because they face sudden changes in the learning environment. In addition, its implementation in online learning is another challenge. Therefore, this study aims to identify students' perceptions of online CPBL performance in vocational pre-teacher education institutions. A self-reporting questionnaire was designed focusing on 21st century skills and distributed to 71 students after the end of the semester. Quantitatively, the instrument of the survey data was analysed using SPSS software. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The results show that online CPBL improved students’ collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. In general, they agreed that online CPBL improved the development of 21st century skills.However, the students faced some difficulties during the online discussion session due to internet connection problems and team member involvement. Details of the items are also discussed.
