Abstract

Salah satu indikator pencapaian keberhasilan belajar siswa dapatdilihat dari prestasi. Namun, tidak semua siswa dapat mencapai prestasisesuai dengan potensi yang dimiliki, banyak di antara siswa tidakmenampilkan hasil optimal atau underachiever. Underachiever merupakansuatu masalah yang sangat komplek dalam dunia pendidikan. Banyak latarbelakang yang mempengaruhi siswa underachiever karena permasalahansiswa underachiever akan terjadi di kemudian hari. Upaya bimbingan bagisiswa underachiever dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan konsep diri,meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik, mengajari cara belajar (studyskills), manajemen waktu dan mengatasi kekurangannya dalam hal akademik.Secara teknik sembilan tahapan layanan bimbingan yang ditawarkan bisamenjadi solusi untuk memberikan membantu siswa underachiever.

Abstract

The increasing relationship between students with unique and diverse backgrounds as a result of open access through technology needs to be facilitated immediately. The availability of accurate data about the cultural intelligence of students is currently needed so that these students can adapt to their environment and are optimally facilitated. The purpose of this study is to obtain a real picture of the cultural intelligence of students in East Priangan and analyze it from the point of view of the dynamics of individual development and the philosophy of life of the Sundanese ethnic community. This study uses a quantitative approach and uses a descriptive method. Collecting data using a questionnaire to reveal the level of cultural intelligence of students which is then analyzed conceptually and empirically from the point of view of the dynamics of human development. The results showed that the achievement of cultural intelligence of students in East Priangan was above the average. The empirical results indicate that the psychophysical efforts of students to be able to adapt effectively and normatively in a higher education environment are close to optimal. This condition was determined by the real embodiment of the mandates contained in several Sundanese ethnic heritage texts from generation to generation both in thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Abstract

Efikasi diri akademik merupakan sikap seseorang yang menunjukan bahwa dirinya mampu dalam melakukan tugas akademik yang ditandai dengan level kemampuan diri, mempelajari dan bertindak dalam berbagai bidang atau situasi, serta kekuatan diri untuk mencapai tujuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran efikasi diri akademik pada siswa kelas X SMK AS-Saabiq Singaparna. Fenomena yang terjadi di SMK AS-Saabiq Singaparna terlihat dengan adanya sikap pesimis dan mudah menyerah pada kemampuan akademik, cenderung menghindari beberapa tugas dan pelajaran tertentu karena menilai dirinya tidak mampu menyelesaikannya, hal tersebut terlihat pada sikap siswa dalam menghadapi salahsatu acara pameran project internet of things (IOT) sebagai bentuk pengembangan kompetensi jurusan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X SMK AS-Saabiq Singaparna yang berjumlah 199 sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh yaitu dengan menjadikan anggota populasi sebagai sampel. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas X SMK AS-Saabiq memiliki kecenderungan yang berada pada kategori efikasi diri akademik sedang sebesar 67% (134 siswa) Artinya memiliki tingkat efikasi diri akademik yang sedang atau dapat dikatakan cukup memadai dalam ketercapaian aspek efikasi diri akademik namun tentu belum mencapai tahap optimal. Kekurangan dari penelitian ini sampel masih terbatas sehingga hanya mengetahui gambaran efikasi diri akademik siswa kelas X SMK AS-Saabiq, sehingga rancangan layanan bimbingan kelompok melalui assertive training yang dibuat hanya untuk kelas X.

Abstract

Bimbingan Karir dimaksudkan untuk membantu siswa agar mengenal dan memahami dirinya, mengenal dunia kerja, merencanakan masa depan yang sesuai dengan bentuk kehidupan yang diharapkannya, mampu menentukan dan mengambil keputusan secara tepat dan bertanggung jawab atas keputusan yang diambilnya itu sehingga mampu mewujudkan dirinya secara bermakna (Supriatna, 2009: 12). Bimbingan karir ditujukan agar individu (siswa) mengalami proses learning to work, yakni belajar untuk bekerja. Artinya, proses pembelajaran yang dialami individu (siswa) saat ini dapat mendasari keputusan karier saat ini dan karir masa depan. Dalam Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini program studi Bimbingan dan Konseling mencoba menerapkan program bimbingan karir pada siswa kelas XII SMK Assaabiq Singaparrna tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan diadakan seminar karir yang dilaksanakan khusus untuk kelas XII SMK Assaabiq Singaparna. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan, peserta terlihat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ditandai dengan banyaknya siswa memberikan pertanyaan pada sesi diskusi unstuk setiap sesi kegiatan. Selain itu juga diberikan motivasi dari salah satu alumni SMK Assaabiq yang telah sukses meniti karirnya dari mulai mendapatkan beasiswa kuliah sampai diterima menjadi PNS di Kemenhukam pada Tahun 2017. Keberlanjutan kegiatan ini yaitu dengan mengadakan sesi konseling kepada siswa yang ingin berkonsultasi terkait dengan perencanaan karir. Kegiatan konseling ini dilakukan secara insidental bagi yang membutuhkan layanan tersebut sebagai tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Multicultural sensitivity both theoretical and empirical needs to be owned by counselors in the counseling service. Multicultural sensitivity is important in the counseling process because of its multicultural sensitivity counselor at counseling services can be predicted to be more effective. Counselors are required to have a multicultural sensitivity as access to better know, understand and appreciate the whole cultural experience that is owned by the counselee as well as exploring the potential counselee with a fixed packing uniqueness. The counselor with a keen sensitivity better understand and appreciate the cultural bias between the counselor and counselee which is predicted to be able to direct the counselee to develop optimally

Abstract

Self-determination is the ability of individuals to direct themselves to achieve life goals that are driven by the fulfillment of autonomous needs, competencies and relationships with others. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of self-determination in adolescents of class XI SMK As-Saabiq Singaparna, differences based on gender, based on majors and design guidance and counseling services to improve self-determination of adolescent students. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods to uncover the picture of self-determination of adolescent students. The sample in this study was class XI As-Saabiq Singaparna Vocational School, amounting to 191 students, the sample in this study was taken using a saturated sampling technique that is by making the population as a sample sample. The results of this study in general the self-determination of class XI students of SMK As-Saabiq are in the category of high self-determination of 54% (103 students). The highest aspect is competence while the lowest aspect is the autonomy aspect. Based on differences in majors there are differences and based on gender shows Sig. 0.002 which means there is a significant difference between self-determination in male and female students of class XI Vocational School in As-Saabiq. The weaknesses of this study are the sample is still limited so that it only knows the self-determination of class XI students of SMK As-saabiq

Abstract

Various aspects that support the optimal process of adolescent development need to be considered, one of which is adolescent happiness and well-being. One of the variables that supports this is Gratitude. A descriptive study was conducted on 328 students of grade XI at SMAN 1 Manonjaya with a sample of 167 people to see a general picture of gratitude. The measuring instrument used is the development of the Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation Test (GRAT) designed by Watkins et al in 2003. The results showed that 149 students were in the high category or 89%, 15 students or 9% were in the medium category and 3 people students or 2% are in the low category. This shows the tendency of students to have the characteristics of grateful people that have felt abundant, respect for simple things and respect for others. Writing a Gratitude Journal has recommended previous studies with the assumption that if individuals write down the good they get every day, then the individual will focus on the good or positive rather than thinking about the negative.

Abstract

Tujuan khusus dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran nyata mengenai perkembangan kecerdasanbudaya mahasiswa serta merumuskan program layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan budaya mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif serta menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket pengungkap perkembangan kecerdasasn budaya mahasiswa yang dianalisis dengan teknik analisis statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan katercapaian kecerdasan budaya mahasiswa berada diatas rata-rata. Kondisi tersebut dapat dimaknai bahwa daya upaya psikofisk yang utuh di dalam diri mahasiswa untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan yang beragam budaya di perguruan tinggi secara normatif, efektif dan efisien mendekati optimal.

Abstract

Growth-mindset interventions emphasize that intelligence can develop when students work hard on challenging assignments. There is no research that shows the results that Growth Mindset training is effective for increasing persistence, but many studies show that the higher the degree of growth mindset, the higher the persistence of students. This pilot study aims to test the effectiveness of growth mindset training to increase persistence, which focuses on students' intelligence and abilities can be changed, so that they work harder and focus on long-term learning, appreciate the effort, can overcome challenges, and are more motivated in facing challenges with conditions challenging in a group format. This intervention was explained session by session with an experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. One class with a low persistence average participated in six sessions in a group format. The pretest and posttest scores of persistence were compared which consisted of persistence, persistence, and adversity. A large effect size was found for improvement and this confirms the first hypothesis that there will be an increase in the level of persistence score from before the intervention and after the intervention. This study shows that growth mindset training is an effective treatment for increasing persistence. However, the sample size was small and this was an uncontrolled study. Therefore, it is necessary to test this intervention in trials using randomized control groups with follow-up assessments.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Negative Conformity of Peer Groups among HighSchoolStudentsinTasikmalayaRegencybasedonaspectsandindicators,differences based on gender, based on class level, and to design guidance andcounselingservicesaspreventiveservicestoreducenegativepeergroupconformity to students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to revealthenegativeconformitypictureofpeergroups.Thepopulationinthisstudyishighschool students in Tasikmalaya Regency which consist of several schools. Thesample in this study was SMA Tasikmalaya high school students, totaling 427students, who were taken by accidental sampling. The results of this study, ingeneral, the negative conformity of peer groups among high school students inTasikmalayaRegencyisinthelowconformitycategoryof92%(392students).Thehighest aspect is agreement while the lowest aspect is obedience. Based on classlevelandgender, thereisnodifferencewiththesig.0.004whichmeansthereisnosignificant difference between the negative conformity of male and female studentsin SMA Tasikmalaya Regency. The limitations of this study are that it is still notable to test group guidance services as preventive services to reduce negative peergroup conformity, and the formulation and implementation plans for the servicesattachedarestill limited.Keywords:conformity,peergroups,students
