Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil data awal siswa kelas V SDN Tegalkalong II pelajaran IPS materi kenampakan alam di Indonesia, hasil belajar siswa pada saat pengambilan data awal sebanyak 10 dari 23 siswa memperoleh nilai di atas KKM dengan persentase 43,48%. Setelah melakukan tindakan perbaikan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media Asal Kelam pada siklus I siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM sebanyak 11 siswa dengan persentase 47,83%. Pada siklus II hasil belajar siswa meningkat sebanyak 22 siswa atau 95,65% dinyatakan tuntas. Namun, pada siklus II aktivitas siswa belum mencapai target, sehingga dilaksanakan perbaikan pada siklus III, adapun hasil belajar siklus III yaitu sebanyak 22 siswa atau 95,65% dinyatakan tuntas dan telah memenuhi target. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media Asal Kelam pada materi kenampakan alam di Indonesia telah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Students at this time, lack of polite attitude especially to teachers who should be respected. The sense of courtesy can be seen when the students shake hands with the teacher they meet, say "excuse" when passing the more mature person, especially the teacher they often meet in the school, and the number of learners who use slang compared to using Sundanese. Thus, this study has a purpose to describe intactly about the efforts made State Primary School 5 Sindangkasih in carrying out character education activities for students in class IV in order to shape the character of learners through local wisdom Sundanese culture. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method using interactive model in data analysis activities include data collection activities, data reduction, data presentation, to conclusion. The data collection is done through triangulation of data that is interview, observation, and documentation.

Abstract

Thus, this study has the aim to describe in full the pattern of implementing character education as an effort of Elementary school in carrying out character education activities for students in grade IV in order to shape the character of students through the local wisdom of Sundanese culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that uses an interactive model in data analysis activities including data collection activities, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data collection was carried out through data triangulation, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one school principal, three class teachers, one school guard and all fourth grade students. The results showed, the character values pursued by that school’s are religious values, discipline, independence, respect for achievement, communicative, and responsibility. This is in accordance with the vision and mission of SDN 5 Sindangkasih which is to create a school that is capable of producing superior generations who are religious, mastering science and technology, and loving Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Implementation of character education in Indonesia still leaves its own problems, such as the practice of character education that is carried out does not emphasize the process of involving students to find material, character education is not directed at encouraging students to find relationships between learning experiences at school and real life education. Characteristics that have been held so far have not been able to encourage students to be able to apply and apply them in real life. The purpose of this research was to explain the Components of Contextual Teaching and Learning as the Basis for the Developing A Character Education Model. The research method used in this research was qualitative. Data collection techniques using documentation and literature. Data collection techniques for literature studies are carried out by collecting books and articles from scientific journals that are relevant to research problems. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of this research indicated that the components of contextual teaching and learning as the basis for developing a character education model, namely (a) constructivism, (b) inquiry, (c) asking (d) learning communities, (e) modeling, (f) reflection, (g) actual assessment. Thus it can be concluded that the Components of Contextual Teaching and learning can be used as the basis for developing a character education model.

Abstract

Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari merupakan lembaga sosial yang bergerak dalam bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pengembangan produk lokal. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam kegiatan dan produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari serta sejauh mana kegiatan dan produk tersebut mampu meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di desa tersebut. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah wawancara mendalam dengan pengurus dan pengguna produk dari Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari, serta observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan dan proses produksi. Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan dan produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari mampu memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi masyarakat setempat, terutama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat desa. Selain itu, kegiatan dan produk-produk tersebut juga berkontribusi dalam mempromosikan budaya lokal dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah bahwa Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari merupakan lembaga yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di desa tersebut. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian pada masyarakat ini merekomendasikan adanya dukungan dan kolaborasi dari pemerintah dan masyarakat luas untuk memperluas dampak positif kegiatan dan produk-produk dari Rumah Amal Desa Bodesari bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitarnya

Abstract

Desa Gintungranjeng, yang terletak di Kecamatan Ciwaringin, Kabupaten Cirebon, memiliki potensi yang beragam untuk dikembangkan guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun, potensi-potensi tersebut belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Rendahnya kesadaran akan potensi tersebut dan kurangnya pengembangan komunitas berbasis aset menghambat kemajuan desa ini. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian pada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mewujudkan potensi Desa Gintungranjeng melalui pendekatan ABCD. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Kegiatan dilakukan dengan melakukan kunjungan ke Desa Gintungranjeng dan mengadakan sesi brainstorming dengan partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat. Kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aset-aset yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat, baik itu dalam bentuk keterampilan, pengetahuan, maupun aset fisik. Selanjutnya, sesi brainstorming digunakan untuk merangsang kolaborasi antara masyarakat, mitra, dan tim pengabdian untuk menghasilkan ide-ide kreatif dalam memanfaatkan potensi tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini, berhasil mengidentifikasi sejumlah potensi yang dimiliki oleh Desa Gintungranjeng, seperti keahlian dalam pertanian organik, kerajinan lokal, dan pariwisata alam. Dengan memanfaatkan potensi ini, masyarakat Desa Gintungranjeng dapat meningkatkan pendapatan, memperkuat ikatan sosial, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup secara keseluruhan. Pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui kegiatan kunjungan dan brainstorming telah membantu mewujudkan potensi Desa Gintungranjeng. Melalui kolaborasi antara masyarakat, mitra, dan tim pengabdian, potensi-potensi yang ada telah diidentifikasi, dikembangkan, dan dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan memperkuat pembangunan berkelanjutan di Desa Gintungranjeng. Diharapkan hasil dan pengalaman dari pengabdian ini dapat menjadi acuan dan inspirasi bagi pengembangan potensi masyarakat di daerah lain.

Abstract

Character education implementation through language development is essential in primary education. However, the application of character education in reality has not been optimal. This study aimed to explore the implementation of character education through language development in primary schools. This research used a qualitative approach, and data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The population of this study consisted of 522 students and 16 teachers in 15 classes at Silih Asah II State Elementary School in Cirebon City, Indonesia. The research sample was sampled from class 2A, consisting of 40 students, and 10 students' parents also gave feedback regarding this learning. The teacher sample consisted of 5 male and 5 female teachers, including the principal. The results showed that the implementation of character education through language development can be accomplished by combining language development activities with character learning activities such as storytelling, singing, and group games that involve all students. In addition, the results showed that through language development, children can learn communication and social skills that help them build good character. Therefore, this study concluded that language development can be an effective medium for implementing character education in primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of metaverse technology in education to transform learning media in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The type of research utilized library search. The secondary data comprised scientific papers indexed by Scopus and Sinta. The data analysis technique used in this research was thematic analysis. The results indicated that the technological metaverse perspective in education could present the best digital technology to support education in Indonesia. Implementing the metaverse in interactive learning media in Indonesia is divided into four types of simulation: lifelong, mirror world, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). Opportunities within the metaverse as learning media in education include immersive interactive experiences, visualization, more economical risks and costs, unlimited space, and time, preventing academic violations, personalization, and promoting communication. Meanwhile, the possible challenges that will be faced are in the form of no boundaries for people involved in being lazy to move and other forms of neutral interaction.

Abstract

The government is trying to achieve the goals of National Education in accordance with Law No. 20 of 2003, which is to develop the potential of students to become human beings of faith and piety. Education is defined as a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere in order to develop students' self-potential. The responsibility for education is left to parents, educational institutions, government, and society. Research at TKN Sendang, Cirebon District, used a qualitative method to analyze the formation and role of the School Committee in early childhood education. The results showed that the School Committee at TKN Sendang played a role in improving the quality of education by providing direction, staff support, facilities, and supervision at the early age level. The active role of parents/guardians of students is very significant in supporting and involving themselves in School Committee activities, including providing input and financial support. The School Committee is also effective in providing direction and support for character building and improving learning facilities. In conclusion, the active participation of parents/guardians of students and the role of the School Committee is important in improving the quality of early childhood education. Collaboration between the government, educational institutions, the community, and parents/guardians of students creates an educational environment that is conducive and supports the optimal growth of the potential of students, so as to achieve the goals of National Education that have been set.

Abstract

A study has been conducted to evaluate the application of the Literacy Movement in shaping the character of students at MI Al Huda, Cirebon Regency. The focus of this research is on programs such as Qiraati, readlah, Tahfidz, and literacy zones. The purpose of this research is to understand the character education applied at MI Al Huda. The character applied can encourage all students to show empathy, care, and respect for each other. So character education is an activity that is carried out consciously and helps students know good things, have noble character, are full of affection, and are intelligent. The Literacy Movement in Schools is a social initiative that involves cooperation from various sectors. One way to achieve this is to create a reading habit in students for 15 minutes. The achievement targets of the literacy movement in schools can gradually improve skills achieved through appropriate activities in elementary schools that emphasize reading, listening, and writing skills. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Literacy Movement, especially through the Literacy Movement program, is considered effective and receives support from the local community because being interested in these programs can help shape the positive character of students. The implementation of the Literacy Movement to shape the character of grade II students at MI Al Huda, Cirebon Regency has proven to be effective. Through this literacy program, students can develop a disciplined, responsible, independent, intelligent, and capable of respecting others, loving virtue, maintaining honesty, being polite, obeying rules, and obeying religious teachings. This research is expected to provide valuable information and input for the learning process in various institutions or schools, especially at MI Al Huda Cirebon Regency.
