Abstract

The Indonesian Education Curriculum was updated with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, replacing the 2013 Curriculum. This study aimed to compare the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum. The research used the Library Studies method and analyzed scientific articles from the Google Scholar database. The findings indicate that both curricula are based on the goals of the National Education System, focusing on fostering students' spiritual, religious attitudes, intelligence, and noble character. However, the 2013 Curriculum emphasizes developing student competencies in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects with a scientific approach, while the Merdeka Curriculum prioritizes character building through the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) and implements differentiated learning to cater to students' individual learning needs.

Abstract

Early-stage reading competence is an important aspect that primary school students must have to follow other learning at an advanced level. Teaching materials have an essential role in this early reading learning. This research aims to see the need for developing teaching materials, especially in early-stage reading, to complement the Indonesian teaching materials already used in the research school. The teaching materials for early-stage reading are summarized in the Indonesian teaching materials so that causing the content of the early-stage lesson is less intensive to support learning. This research used interviews, document reviews, and needs analysis questionnaires. Respondents and resource persons in this study were the principal, grade 1 and grade 2 teachers of SDN Cigoong 3 Serang City. The results showed that the Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes (CP) in the reading element in Phase A requires students to master the competency of early-stage reading, so teaching materials are needed with the type of printed publication, using the SAS (Structural Analytic Synthetic) starting reading method. Abstract

Poetry writing skills are one of the Indonesian language learning outcomes in phase C. The characteristics of grade 5 elementary school students who still think concretely in writing imaginative poetry must be facilitated by contextual teaching materials. However, the student worksheets available at the research site did not meet the needs of students. This research aims to develop and test the validity of the Worksheet of Learners Writing Poetry Based on Contextual Teaching and Learning for 5th-Grade Learners. This research refers to the ADDIE development model. Data was collected using document study, interview, and questionnaire techniques. The results show that the Learner Worksheet gets an average expert validation score of 89% and is in the ‘very feasible’ category. The average score of product trials on students and teachers is 90%, with the category ‘very feasible’. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Worksheet of Learners Writing Poetry Based on Contextual Teaching and Learning is very feasible to be used in learning.
