Abstract

Artikel tersebut membahas tentang kesulitan mahasiswa dalam berbicara, faktor-faktor penghalang pada kesulitan mahasiswa dalam berbicara, dan upaya untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam berbicara. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan mahasiswa dalam berbicara takut untuk melakukan kesalahan, mereka tidak memiliki rasa percaya diri, waktu yang terbatas dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris, kosakata rendah, pengucapan, dan tata bahasa, kuantitas mereka dalam pembelajaran berbicara, dan faktor psikologis mereka. Kemudian, faktor penghambat kesulitan siswa dalam berbicara adalah ketidakmampuan dalam berbicara, tidak ada motivasi, mahasiswa merasa malu dan tidak memiliki kemauan untuk berbicara, mereka biasanya menggunakan bahasa ibu, lebih sedikit tugas yang diberikan kepada mereka, sulit topik, dosen mengajar dengan serius, dan kurang menggunakan bahasa Inggris di kelas oleh mereka. Sementara itu, upaya untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam berbicara diberikan saran kepada mahasiswa agar mereka merasa percaya diri di kelas, menciptakan persahabatan dan menghidupkan kembali suasana yang baik di kelas, menemukan strategi yang baik sehingga mereka dapat berkomunikasi satu sama lain, menganggap bahwa berbicara Bahasa Inggris adalah cara yang baik untuk membangun rasa percaya diri mereka untuk berbicara, penting untuk masa depan, dan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif, permainan, dan metode KWL dalam berbicara.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tinjauan pemberian upah dalam meningkatkan kinerja wartawan pada PT. Bungo Multimedia Muara Bungo. Dimana pemberian upah terhadap tenaga kerja setiap perusahaan berbeda-beda sesuai dengan hasil pekerjaannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskritif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Yang dimaksud deskriptif ialah penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai variabel mandiri, baik satu variabel atau lebih (independen) tanpa membuat perbandingan, atau menghubungkan antara variabel satu dengan variabel lain, serta bertujuan untuk menggambarkan fenomena yang terjadi dan digunakan untuk memecahkan msalah berdasarkan fakta yang terlihat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu General Manager beserta seluruh karyawan PT. Bungo Multimedia Muara Bungo. Terdapat beberapa fenomena-fenomena permasalahan yang terjadi dalam meningkatkan kinerja wartawan yaitu tentang upah yang diterima oleh wartawan dibawah upah minimum regional (UMR) karena pengupahan sesuai dengan pendapatan perusahaan, sistem pengupahan masih kurang efektif yaitu menggunakan sistem non payroll, serta masa kerja wartawan tidak memperoleh tambahan upah berupa bonus ataupun tunjangan. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh PT. Bungo Multimedia Muara Bungo dalam memberikan upah terhadap kinerja wartawan adalah meningkatkan upah yang akan diterima oleh wartawan, mengubah sistem pengupahan dengan cara memakai sistem payroll, dan menberikan tunjangan atau pun bonus sebagai tambahan upah bagi wartawan.

Abstract

Decentralization and school-based management (SBM) have been widely adopted in Indonesia to enhance the quality and efficiency of education. This study investigates the implementation of SBM in public and private schools in Jambi Province, Indonesia, and explores its effects on school autonomy, teacher participation in decision-making, and student achievement. A mixed-methods approach was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 300 teachers and 600 students in 15 public and 15 private schools in Jambi Province using questionnaires and achievement tests. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 30 school principals and 30 school committee members. Private schools demonstrated significantly higher levels of school autonomy and teacher participation in decision-making compared to public schools. However, no significant difference was found in student achievement between the two types of schools. Qualitative data provided insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with SBM implementation in both public and private schools. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of contextual factors in shaping the implementation and outcomes of SBM. While private schools appear to have embraced SBM more effectively in terms of autonomy and participation, the impact on student achievement requires further investigation. The findings have implications for policymakers and school leaders seeking to enhance the effectiveness of SBM in Indonesia.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to the Indonesian economy, especially in rural areas like Dharmasraya. This community service project aimed to empower MSMEs by building their entrepreneurial capacity through publicly funded training programs. Using a participatory action research approach, a needs assessment was conducted with 100 MSME owners in Dharmasraya to identify challenges and training needs. Based on the findings, workshops and mentoring sessions were designed and delivered, focusing on financial literacy, marketing strategies, digital literacy, and business plan development. The training program significantly improved participants' understanding of key business concepts, including financial management, marketing, and digital tools. Participants also showed increased confidence in managing and growing their businesses. The program fostered a sense of community and peer learning among MSME owners. In conclusion, publicly funded training programs are crucial for building entrepreneurial capacity and empowering MSMEs in Dharmasraya. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of participatory approaches in addressing community needs and fostering sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Digital Project-Based Learning (DPBL) represents an innovative pedagogical approach that integrates digital technologies within project-based learning to enhance English language education in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: inclusive and equitable quality education. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to investigate the implementation of DPBL in English language teaching and its effectiveness in fostering essential 21st-century competencies such as communication, digital literacy, critical thinking, and global citizenship. Data were collected from peer-reviewed publications between 2019 and 2024 using the Publish or Perish software and databases including Scopus and Google Scholar. The review highlights that DPBL not only improves English language proficiency but also enhances student motivation, engagement, and awareness of real-world challenges aligned with sustainability values. The findings suggest that DPBL is a promising instructional strategy that bridges language acquisition with global education goals, making it a valuable contribution to both academic and sustainable development agendas.
