Abstract

Keberadaan sosok kiai sebagai pemimpin pondok pesantren memang sangat unik untuk diteliti, hal tersebut dikarenakan dilihat dari sudut tugas dan fungsi seorang kiai yang tidak hanya sekedar memimpin, tetapi juga bahgaimana mengembangkan organisasi pondok pesantren agar bisa tetap eksis di era globalisasi saat ini. Relevan dengan fenomena ini, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analitis, dimana kiai sebagai subyek utamanya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan KH. Achmad Zamachsyari atau yang biasa disapa dengan Gus Mad dalam pengembangan organisasi tidak terlepas dari kepemimpinan inovatif yang ia terapkan. Sebagai seorang pemimpin di Yayasan Pondok Modern al-Rifa’ie ia harus memberikan visi, haluan kepada bawahannya untuk beranjak dan bergerak dari tempat semula menuju perbaikan dan perubahan. Dalam memimpin YPM al-Rifa’ie, ia menggabungkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasionalisme dengan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dengan tetap memegang prinsip al-muh}a>faz}atu ‘ala> al-qadi>mi al-s}a>lih} wa al-akhdhu bi al-jadi>di al-as}lah}. Dalam kepemimpinannya, ia menggunakan beberapa pendekatan yakni dengan pengembangan organisasi, mewujudkan team building dan menumbuhkan perilaku inovatif.The existence of Kiai as the leader of Islamic boarding school is unique for being studied by the researcher, such thing is being highly considered because the role of Kiai who does not merely become just a leader or head to lead but also his action in developing Islamic boarding school in order to be exist in globalization era. Relevant to this phenomenon, this research applies descriptive analytics qualitative research which makes Kiai as the subject of the research. the result of this research reveals that the success of KH. Achmad Zamachsyari or well known with his nick name; Gus Mad in developing his boarding school organization cannot be loosen from his innovative leadership. As a leader in Pondok Modern Al – Rifa’ie foundation, he has already given visions, or direction to take off and to move from the obsolete place, into a better condition. In leading his organization he combines transformation style of leadership with democratic leadership while still tightly holds on al muhla fazlatu ‘ala al –qadi mi al shalih wa al akhzu bi al – jadi al as-lah principle. In his leading role, he applies some approaches; organizational development, making team building and growing innovative behavior.Kata Kunci: kepemimpinan kiai, pengembangan organisasi, team building, perilaku inovatif

Abstract

Keberlangsungan pengelolaan dan pelaksanaan pendidikan dasar dan menengah membutuhkan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Salah satu peran penting dari personal tadi adalah pengawas pendidikan. Keberadaan pengawas dapat ditelusuri dari PP No. 74 tahun 2008 tentang Guru pasal 54 ayat 8 yang menyatakan pengawas terdiri dari pengawas satuan pendidikan, pengawas mata pelajaran atau kelompok mata pelajaran. Peraturan tersebut sinergis dengan PMA No. 2 tahun 2012 menjelaskan bahwa dalam lingkungan Kemenag ada dua pengawas yaitu, pengawas madrasah dan pengawas PAI di sekolah. Inti dari PMA ini adalah adanya pemisahan antara pengawas madrasah yang berada di bawah direktorat madrasah dan pengawas pendidikan agama Islam pada sekolah umum di bawah pembinaan direktorat pendidikan agama Islam. Setelah satu tahun berjalan, PMA no. 2 tahun 2012 masih yang menimbulkan permasalahan. Sehingga diawal tahun 2013, PMA No. 2 tahun 2013 mengalami perubahan dengan diterbitkannya PMA no. 31 tahun 2013. Perubahan yang signifikan terdapat pada bab penilaian angka kredit. Pada pasal tentang jangka waktu pengumpulan angka kredit terjadi perubahan dari 3 tahun menjadi 5 tahun.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School is a unique Islamic educational institution, not only because of its existence which has been very long, but also because the culture, methods and networks applied by religious institutions are different from other Islamic educational institutions. The magnitude of the role of boarding school in community empowerment certainly can not be separated from the role of kiai as the owner as well as the leader of pesantren in moving the pesantren community. In leading a boarding school, Kiai has leadership characteristics that vary from one to another, it is also adapted to the characteristics of the boarding school he leads. Today it is true that the leadership of pesantren does not apply single leadership, and pesantren organization has been included in the form of foundation. With this new phenomenon, the pesantren organization leads impersonally, without reducing the kiais role as the supreme leader, then leadership leads to a collective pattern, in accordance with the hierarchy of leadership of a foundation organization.Keyword: Collective Leadership, Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

Management Information Systems (MIS) is a field that began to develop since the 1960s. Although there is no single consensus, it is generally defined as a driver's license system that provides information used to support the operation, management, and decisionmaking in organization. Prainformasional in the community, the people in it using a rigid paradigm assisted by intuition, the basis used by them to select the types of information needed is often not obvious because it is colored by the subjective nature of perception. But then in today's modern society, in addition to the paradigm shift that uses a creativeapproach to merger, also using the scientific paradigm that enables the selection of information can be done quickly and accurately. In the world of education though, MIS become one of the important factors to improve services at the same time saving for education. Abstract

Nowadays, women’s leadership became a public issue that is always discussed and has provoked polemics and debates between the pros and cons. Women’s capacity to be a leader has always been the main things questioned by various groups when women’s leadership discourse develops in public, especially when the debate is linked to the Islamic perspective. Whereas, the mission of Islam is to free human beings, both of men and women from the shackles of oppression, backwardness and injustice. In education, Goldring and Chen (1994) reported that women in the UnitedKingdom and wherever most women only take part in the teaching profession, but there are relatively few and far who have important positions authorities in a number of secondary schools, colleges and local administration education. Whereas, the result of the study conductedJirasinghe and Lyons, (1996) describe the personality of women leaders as someone who is more outgoing, democratic, caring, artistic, be kind, careful and conscientious, compassionate and cautious. Therefore,image of women as a person who also has the leadership capacity can be revitalized to bring back the gait struggles women figure very inspiring leadership. Because, requirement for an educational leader is that the educational leader must be able to lead the organization/ institution, isresponsible for the achievement of the organization/ institution, is also expected to be leaders and innovators in organizations/ institutions. It also must have the leadership skills and human relations skills and good leadership to implement the model in accordance with the characteristicsof her, because the real success of an organization/ institution essentially lies in the efficiency and effectiveness of the appearance of a leader. Thus, in this case, both one’s biological factor that men and women are not the main requirements in educational leadership.Keyword: Women’s Leadership, Educational Leadership, Islamic Perspective

Abstract

Leaders and leadership are two interrelated problems of daily life in society, organization, nation and state. The development level of society, organizations and nations and countries influenced by the leaders and leadership. Islam itself as a religion rahmatan lil 'Alamin also put the issue of leaders and leadership as one of the major issues in his teaching. In the Qur'an and Hadith leadership gets a share of the discussion is not small, many verses of the Koran and the hadiths of the Prophet who Membincang about leadership. Abstract

The Kiai as the leader of the boarding school is not just to lead, but also develop curricula, create evaluation system, determine the order of the institution came to organize the life of the whole community of cottage boarding and also foster community. In this study, there are three objectives are achieved, namely: (1) obtain a description and a complete picture of the behavior of the leadership of clerics; (2) obtain a description and a complete picture of the interaction patterns clerics; and (3) obtaining a description and a complete overview of the concept of modernization of education schools in Higher EducationThis type of research is qualitative and using the case study method. Ma'had Sunan Ampel Al-`Aly selected as the research object because it is the first boarding school students in the environment PTAIN. Data obtained by interview (interview), documents (documents) and observations (observation). Spradley data analysis using a model consisting of domain analysis, analasis taxonomy, componential analysis and thematic analysis.Three results obtained, namely, (1) Conduct Yai Chamzawi leadership in MSAA UIN Maliki leads to transformational leadership; (2) The pattern of interaction Yai Chamzawi in MSAA UIN Maliki leads to the traditional leadership; and (3) The concept of modernization of education schools in universities based on the principle of al-Muhafadzatu 'ala qadimi as-salih wa al-akhdu bi al-jadidi al-aslah. So from the third conclusion above can researchers find a style of leadership clerics in MSAA UIN Maliki is Leadership Style Neo-Transformasionalisme, which is a combination of leadership styles transfomasionalisme and leadership style traditionalism based on the principle of al-muhafadzatu 'alal qadimi shalih wal akhdu bil jadidil ashlah.Keywords: Leadership of Kyai, Modernization of Islamic Boarding Scool Education, College

Abstract

Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang unik, tidak saja karena keberadaannya yang sudah sangat lama, tetapi juga karena kultur, metode dan jaringan yang diterapkan oleh lembaga agama tersebut berbeda dengan lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya. Besarnya peranan pondok pesantren dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat tentunya tidak bisa lepas dari peranan kiai sebagai pemilik sekaligus sebagai pemimpin pesantren dalam menggerakkan komunitas pesantren. Dalam memimpin sebuah pondok pesantren, Kiai memiliki karakteristik kepemimpinan yang berbeda-beda antara satu dengan yang lain, hal tersebut disesuaikan pula dengan karakteristik pondok pesantren yang dipimpinnya. Dewasa ini memang kepemimpinan pesantren yang terjadi tidak lagi menerapkan kepemimpinan tunggal, dan organisasi pesantren pun telah dimasukkan dalam bentuk yayasan. Dengan gejala baru ini, maka organisasi pesantren menjurus kearah impersonal, tanpa mengurangi peranan kiai sebagai pemimpin tertinggi, maka kepemimpinan mengarah pada pola kolektif, sesuai dengan hierarkhi kepemimpinan sebuah organisasi yayasan.

Abstract

KH. Achmad Zamachsyari or Gus Mad became one of the initiators to make changes by establishing a modern Islamic boarding school in Malang. He leads, provides a vision to move toward improvement and change. He chose an area in Ketawang, Gondanglegi, Malang to begin his struggle to build a modern Islamic boarding school. This study aims at obtaining a complete description of Gus Mad's leadership behavior; his interaction patterns; and modernization concept of Islamic boarding school education. The research design is qualitative and it uses the character study method. Gus Mad was chosen as the object of research because he was one of the Kiais in Malang who made a change, namely from the leader of the Al-Fattah Singosari Salafiyah then founded the Al-Rifa'ie Modern Islamic boarding school. Data obtained by interviews, documents, and observation. Data analysis used the Spradley model, consisting domain, taxonomic, component and theme analyses. Three findings are (1) Gus Mad's behavior at Al-Rifa'ie leads to transformational leadership; (2) his interaction pattern at Al-Rifa'ie led to traditional leadership; and (3) hisconcept of modernization of Islamic boarding school education is based on the principles of al-Muḥâfaẓat ‘alâ al-qadîm al-ṣâliḥ wa al-akhdhu bi al-jadîd al-aṣlaḥ. Gus Mad’s leadership style at Al-Rifa'ie Modern Islamic Boarding School Malang is a neo-transformationalism leadership style, a combination of transformationalism and traditionalism leadership style based on the principles of al-muḥâfaẓat ‘alâ al-qadîm al-ṣâliḥ wa al-akhdhu bi al-jadîd al-aṣlaḥ.
