Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study to describe the behavior of the Islamic religion in the early childhood kindergarten Sunnah gem Banda Aceh. This study is a qualitative research with phenomenological kind. Analysis of the data using the model of Miles and Huberman. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that (1) The behavior of Islamic religious in children include: children's understanding of the teachings of Islam, children being kind to fellow creatures of God, and the children skilled in worship, (2) The process of education, among others: use the curriculum in 2013, the flagship program is Tahfidzul quran. (3) The role of teachers in shaping the behavior of Islamic religious in children, (4) the support of parents in shaping the behavior of Islamic religious in children is a lack of support at home, and the cooperation that exists between parents and the school, (5) The success of TK gem Sunnah in Islamic form of religious behavior in children is shown in behavioral changes experienced by children, and the public trust in the school. Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of pragmatics in delivering the meaning of print advertisements in the Harian Rakyat Aceh newspaper. This research used a qualitative approach. The data was analyzed using a pragmatic approach. The data of this research were advertisements published in the Harian Rakyat Aceh newspaper in January 2019. The data were identified, classified, analyzed, described, and summarized. The results showed that all the advertisements used pragmatic power to convey information. The pragmatic power that appears is the presupposition and context of the advertisement. The presupposition arises from the main trademark of a product or product brand that has been popular in society. Context refers to images, letter shapes, colours, and motives of images and letters in advertisements published in the Harian Rakyat Aceh newspaper. Keywords: pragmatics, advertisement, Harian Rakyat Aceh

Abstract

This study raises the issue about the employment of indirect speech acts of Indonesian language education students at FKIP Serambi Mekkah University. The purpose of this study was to determine the indirect speech acts of Indonesian language education students FKIP Serambi Mekkah University. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study are indirect speech acts of Indonesian language education students, FKIP, Serambi Mekkah University. The subjects in this study were all Indonesian language students. Data collection was carried out by using listening techniques which included tapping techniques, free speaking listening techniques, conversational free listening techniques, recording techniques, and notetaking techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, interpreting the meaning of the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that the utterances spoken by Indonesian language education students at FKIP Serambi Mekkah University contained indirect speech acts. In general, the indirect speech acts used by Indonesian students are news sentences which have the intention of commanding the speech partner to do something, then requesting sentences and news sentences that function to ask the speech partner to give something. Speakers use indirect speech acts when interacting so that the speech conveyed seems more polite and not pushy. Keywords : Pragmatics, Indirect Speech Act, Student Speech

Abstract

Pendidikan seks dapat diperkenalkan pada anak usia dini dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran menggunakan buku pop-up. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buku pop-up yang memuat tentang pendidikan seks untuk anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan lembar angket validasi untuk memperoleh penilaian ahli dari ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi buku pop-up pada ahli media memperoleh skor akhir sebesar 98% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor akhir sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media dan ahli materi dapat disimpulkan bahwa media buku pop-up yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam mengenalkan pendidikan seks pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Tantrums are a common behavioral issue in early childhood, characterized by intense and excessive emotional outbursts that occur in specific situations. These episodes often reflect the child's limited ability to articulate needs or emotions verbally. This study aimed to identify and analyze the strategies employed by teachers in managing tantrum behaviors among early childhood learners at PAUD Permata Ibu and TKS IT Misbahul Ikhlas in Aceh Besar. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this research, employing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The subjects of the study were four teachers from Class A in early childhood education institutions, with the object of the research focusing on the strategies these teachers implemented in managing tantrums.The findings revealed that teachers use structured and empathetic methods, allowing children to express emotions under close supervision. Once calm, teachers engage in gentle communication to address the root of the tantrum and guide children toward better behavior by explaining consequences. Emotional bonding, such as hugs or gentle touches, provides comfort, while corrective actions, like marking fingers with tape to deter harmful behavior, remain educational. Teachers also redirect attention to positive activities and provide encouragement to boost confidence and emotional regulation. These strategies highlight the importance of patience, empathy, and tailored approaches to foster emotional growth and self-control in young children.

Abstract

The Aceh Tsunami Oral History archive transcribes firsthand accounts from survivors of the December 26, 2004, tsunami, capturing their experiences as direct witnesses to the disaster. These narratives express emotions such as anxiety, panic, worry, distress, and disorientation. This frame of mind reflects the psychological turmoil faced during the earthquake and tsunami waves. This study focuses on expressive speech acts (ESAs), aiming to identify their types, strategies, and patterns in the oral history archive. A qualitative pragmatic approach was employed, with data collected through reading, recording, coding, tabulating, and categorizing. The process of data analysis followed five stages: description, selection, analysis, interpretation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that Aceh tsunami survivors used 22 types of ESAs, both direct and indirect. A number of 65 strategy patterns emerged from two primary strategies, shaping communication based on the survivors intended interlocutors. The expressions directed toward Allah, the one God, were dominant, featuring religious language and strong Islamic references. The use of hadih maja (Acehnese proverbs) was also identified, illustrating how the survivors speech acts integrate cultural and religious elements in their communication. The findings have inclusively presented the deep interconnection between faith, Acehnese cultural wisdom, and the ESAs of tsunami survivors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf di kelas B4 PAUD Taman An Nisa Aceh Besar, dimana dari 12 anak terdapat 9 anak yang belum mengenal huruf dengan baik, terutama huruf konsonan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal huruf melalui penggunaan media kincir huruf. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 9 anak, terdiri atas 3 anak perempuan dan 6 anak laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf vokal dan konsonan, dengan capaian 3 anak pada kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) dan 6 anak Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH).
