Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation and obstacles of the Governor's Regulation Number 3 of 2021 concerning Additional Employee Income in Improving Employee Performance and Discipline at the Industry and Trade Office of North Sumatra Province. Descriptive method is used by using a qualitative approach. How to collect data related to the problem under study so that it can be explained descriptively. Data analysis is a process of systematically finding and compiling data obtained from interviews and field observations. The results of the study show that the implementation is still less than optimal, such as: Communication not all the information needed is conveyed and some employees have a poor level of understanding; Resources are still not maximized starting from internet facilities and applications used by employees; Disposition Honesty of employees is not optimal because the data with reality do not match; The structure of the Bureaucratic Coordination has not been maximized because the employees have their respective activities. The inhibiting factors are that employees are considered less informative, internet connections are slow and the applications used often experience interference, the honesty level of some employees is not good, the busyness of each employee causes coordination to take longer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the dynamics of the implementation of the Facilitation of Campaign Props (APK), the inhibiting factors and the implementation of facilitation in the Covid-19 Pandemic Period in the Election of Regents and their representatives in the Regency. Sergai Year 2020. Based on the description of the problem, the researcher chose to use a qualitative approach that is exploratory and inductive, the postpositivism paradigm with descriptive research type because it clarifies or explores phenomena or facts of social phenomena. The results showed that the implementation of APK facilitation in the 2020 Sergai Regent and Deputy Elections went in an orderly and peaceful manner despite the delay in submitting the APK to the Trendy Faithful Paslon. This is due to the dynamics and the nomination dispute where the KPU cannot print the APK if the Paslon has not been determined. The inhibiting factors in APK facilitation are (a) the lack of response from the Paslon in submitting the APK design and materials on time (b) the auction process (if any) and human resources who lack control over the procurement of government goods and services (c) corruption in the 2020 election grant budget corruption. Regency. Sergai has executed a good strategy in APK facilitation.

Abstract

Operations of internal government agencies carry out their respective functions, of course, must pay attention to the performance of their employees, especially for government agencies that are in direct contact with providing services to the community. To be able to provide services to the community, employees must be able to improve their performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of individual characteristics and competencies on employee performance with work placement as a mediating variable for employees of the Medan City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. This type of research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 287 employees of the Medan City BPPRD, with a sample of 168 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis via IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that individual characteristics had a positive effect of ? = 0.045 and 0.042 <0.05 significantly on performance with work placement as a mediating variable. Furthermore, competence has a positive effect of ? = 0.076 and is significant 0.021 <0.05 on performance with work placement as a mediating variable. Individual characteristics and competencies have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with work placement as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Public speaking is a skill that should be possessed in this digital era. In addition to being used as a public speaking technique, public speaking is also an indicator or requirement for prospective workers in many companies. The results of the situation analysis showed that members of the Karang Rejo village cadets, Stabat district, Langkat regency, had problems in public speaking skills; Minimal public speaking skills, low level of awareness to hone public speaking skills, and limited access and materials to learn public speaking. Responding to this problem, activities in the form of socialization and assistance in improving public speaking skills were applied to members of the Karang Rejo village cadets. This activity has been completed on August 7, 2021 at the Karang Rejo Village Hall, Stabat district, Langkat regency. In the implementation of this activity, the method of lectures, discussions and questions and answers is applied. The results concluded that the members of the Karang Rejo village cadets were very enthusiastic and interested in developing public speaking skills. They also agree that public speaking skills are a very important skill in this era.

Abstract

In light of the Re-Voting (PSU) process during the 2020 concurrent elections, this research sought to critically evaluate the performance of the KPPS Labuhanbatu Regency. Utilizing a qualitative case study methodology, a comprehensive dataset was compiled from in-depth interviews and meticulous document analysis, offering a holistic understanding of the intricacies and experiences associated with the event. The evaluation criteria were anchored on five pivotal indicators delineated by Kasmir, encompassing Quality, Quantity, Time, Cooperation Between Employees, and Supervision. Preliminary findings paint a picture of commendable dedication by the KPPS; however, their performance fell short of optimal standards. Beyond a mere assessment, this study carves out a roadmap, shedding light on the nuances of election management in Labuhanbatu Regency and pinpointing critical areas that demand attention and refinement to fortify future electoral endeavors.
