Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi terus meningkat termasuk promosi online dan pasar digital. Keduanya memudahkan berbelanja menuju perilaku konsumtif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Pertukaran Sosial karya Peter Blau untuk membahas komunitas Joli Jolan, yang menawarkan transaksi barang, barter, untuk memperkuat peran sosial dalam mencegah perilaku konsumtif. Tujuan penelitian ini membahas komunitas Joli Jolan sebagai pasar alternatif agar masyarakat tidak berperilaku konsumtif di era digital. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus ini melibatkan dua belas informan, termasuk satu pelopor Joli Jolan, empat anggota tetap, dan tujuh pengunjung. Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi telah digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder, lalu dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penyimpulan. Temuan menegaskan bahwa masyarakat hidup berperilaku konsumtif karena faktor eksternal: pemasaran online, promosi, dan kampanye. Sebagai antitesa baru, komunitas Joli Jolan telah membangkitkan pemasaran konvensional: barter, Food Not Boom, workshop, dan pembagian susu gratis. Pengunjung dan anggota Joli Jolan menikmati suasana kehidupan sosial menyenangkan ini. Mereka menikmati pertukaran barang untuk menghemat uang. Mereka menikmati pembicaraan informal, kesenangan dan makanan gratis dari komunitas Joli Jolan. Mereka juga mengikuti lokakarya untuk memahami perilaku konsumtif dan tata kelola kas keluarga. Anggota Joli Jolan mengapresiasi donasi dari masyarakat dan pengunjung. Dana tersebut kemudian mereka gunakan untuk membina lingkungan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, komunitas Joli Jolan telah menjadi a unique social market yang dipercaya dan berkelanjutan dilakukan oleh dan untuk komunitas.

Abstract

This paper discusses the commodification practices carried out by homosexual couples through YouTube by making privacy matters a commodity. The study used a netnography method to observe the process of commodification of privacy carried out by homosexual couples and the responses given by netizens. Data was collected through video observations and commentary fields on three YouTube channels, namely: Lucas and Kibo, Rose and Rosie Vlogs, and KaroJerman RagilFred. The results of the study indicate that there is a commodification of content and audiences carried out by homosexual couples through the content in the videos uploaded on their YouTube channel. In addition, there are different responses from netizens for the three YouTube channels. Keyword: homosexual, commodification, youtube

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengembangan profesionalisme guru menjadi prioritas utama menyangkut program pembangunan pendidikan di Indonesia. Beberapa aspek keprofesionalan meliputi unsur pengembangan diri, publikasi ilmiah, dan karya inovatif. Penciptaan karya ilmiah oleh sebagian guru dianggap bukan sesuatu hal yang mudah. Beberapa guru masih terkendala membuat penelitian dan menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah. Kondisi ini terjadi satuan pendidikan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Surakarta yang saat ini dicanangkan sebagai Madrasah Riset oleh Kementrian Agama. Berdasarkan analisa permasalahan, masih terdapat ketidaksiapan guru khususnya guru bidang studi ilmu-ilmu sosial (Sosiologi, Geografi, Sejarah, Ekonomi) menjalankan tugas pengembangan keprofesionalan. Pengetahuan dan pengalaman tentang pelaksanaan riset sosial dan publikasi ilmiah masih sangat minim. Pengabdian Grup Habitus Pendidikan Sosiologi Antropologi FKIP UNS bekerjasama dengan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 melaksanakan pendampingan penelitian dan publikasi ilmiah bagi guru bidang studi ilmu-ilmu sosial. Pendampingan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk mentoring (berupa workshop) dan coaching (bimbingan individual) oleh tim dosen Grup Riset Habitus. Luaran dari kegiatan ini berupa draft artikel ilmiah siap dipublikasikan, artikel jurnal ber-ISSN, publikasi di media massa cetak/ online, dan video dokumentasi kegiatan.Abstract: The development of teacher professionalism is a top priority regarding education development programs in Indonesia. Several aspects of professionalism include elements of self-development, scientific publications, and innovative works. Creation of scientific work by some teachers is considered not something easy. Some teachers are still constrained by making research and producing scientific papers. This condition occurs in the Surakarta 2nd State Madrasah Aliyah educational unit which is currently designated as a Research Madrasa by the Ministry of Religion. Based on the analysis of the problems, there is still teacher unpreparedness, especially teachers in the social sciences (Sociology, Geography, History, Economics) to carry out professional development tasks. Knowledge and experience regarding the implementation of social research and scientific publications is still very minimal. Habitus Group Service for Sociology Anthropology Education FKIP UNS in collaboration with Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 conducts research assistance and scientific publications for teachers in the field of social studies. Assistance is carried out in the form of mentoring (in the form of workshops) and coaching (individual guidance) by the Habitus Research Group lecturer team. The output of this activity is in the form of ready-to-publish draft scientific articles, journal articles with ISSN, publication in print/online mass media, and video documentation of activities.

Abstract

This research focuses on the Haul Solo tradition, an annual cultural event that has been celebrated for hundreds of years. The tradition has become a defining characteristic of the city of Surakarta, particularly among the people of Kampung Arab. The aim of this study is to explore the congregation's interpretation of the Haul Solo tradition, the role of societal elements within it, and their function in maintaining social harmony. This study employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic methodology. The data was collected through ethnographic interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The implementation of the Haul Solo tradition is closely tied to the roles of various societal elements, including family descendants, close relatives, santri, local government, and local society. Each element's role is adjusted according to their social status. By collaborating effectively, the multicultural structure of society is strengthened. The Haul Solo tradition serves not only as a commemoration of the death anniversary of Habib Ali Al-Habsyi, but also as a means of preserving and maintaining harmony within a multicultural society. The function of the Haul Solo tradition in bonding elements of society consists of 3 functions, religious function, social function and economic function.

Abstract

Teenager are in transitional period that requires appropriate information according to their needs and changes they experience regarding sexuality issues. Problems found in the field such as sexual violence, early marriage, unwanted pregnancy, and taboo perceptions about sexuality issues are the background of the importance of comprehensive sexuality education. The solo women's study center as one of the communities actively engaged in educating teenagers about the importance of sexuality education by considering the Comprehensive Sexual Education curriculum with the aim of increasing knowledge, making preventive efforts, and providing a safe space for adolescents. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then tested for credibility using source triangulation, then analyzed using liberal feminist theory. The results showed that the strategies carried out by PUKAPS such as sea-project, femstride class, femstride safer space project, making the film “Payung Dara”, campaigning through social media, and advocacy services have a positive influence on the fulfillment of reproductive rights and the improvement of more inclusive sexuality education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the social embeddedness and networks that occur in a coffee shop business in Jombang Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with case studies as the approach. Social embeddedness in the form of relational embeddedness and structural embeddedness that exist in the coffee shop business shows that there is a social relationship that occurs between consumers and the coffee shop which arises from their trust in the coffee shop. Furthermore, structural embeddedness shows collaboration built by the coffee shop with other parties with the aim of building relationships and business continuity. Apart from that, the sustainability of the coffee shop business cannot be separated from the influence of existing social networks, namely social networks between coffee shop owners, social networks between coffee shop owners and employees, social networks between fellow coffee shop employees, and social networks between employees and consumers coffee shop.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Modal Sosial dalam Pelestarian Kesenian Tari Zapin Melayu di Kota Batam pada era modernisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan sifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi non partisipan, studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yang berperan aktif dalam pelestarian kesenian Tari Zapin Melayu adalahpemerintah (Dinas kebudayaan Kota Batam), staff rumah budaya Indonesia, pelatih sanggar, penari, serta masyarakat Kota Batam. Hubungan yang terjalin dalam pelestarian kesenian Tari Zapin Melayu diikat oleh kepercayaan. Selain itu, Jaringan yang ditemukan dalam pelestarian kesenian Tari Zapin Melayu tidak lepas dari peran pemangku kepentingan (stakeholder). Adanya kerja sama antara pemerintah, pelatih sanggar dan masyarakat yang terlihat dari festival budaya yang diselenggarakan di Kota Batam hampir setiap tahunnya menjadi salah satu upaya pelestarian Tari Zapin Melayu,

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Strategi Objek Wisata Taman Satwa Taru Jurug Zoo Surakarta Pada Masa Pandemi Covid 19. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriktif. Penelitian dilakukan di Taman Satwa Taru Jurug Zoo Surakarta. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan yang menjadi informan yaitu Manajer Pemasaran Taman Satwa Taru Jurug Zoo bapak Nonot Harwanto, Petugas lapangan dan Pengunjung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi yang digunakan manajemen objek wisata TSTS selama pandmei yaitu dengan memperhatikan aspek Produknya, Harga, Promosi dan Lokasi. Pada produk yaitu meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan tampilan tata ruang. Dari segi harga melakukan promo selama pandmei agar satwa tetap mendapat biaya anggaran. Manajemen memperhatikan juga dari segi promosi baik secara digital dan offline. Sedangkan dari lokasi yaitu dengan memperhatikan kebersihan sekitar lokasi.

Abstract

The problem of dropping out of school is a serious problem in the world of education so it must be resolved so that everyone’s basic needs for education are met. One way is through community-based non-formal education institutions, namely the Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM), such as PKBM Sakila Kerti which is part of the Sea School in the coastal area of Tegal City. This research aims to find out how the PKBM Sakila Kerti Sea School gets support and assistance from various parties so that it is able to meet the educational needs of children, especially coastal children who have dropped out of school. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was obtained from interviews with several parties at the PKBM Sakila Kerti Sea School, parents and the community, as well as the results of researchers’ observations. The research results show that the way the PKBM Sakila Kerti Sea School gets support and assistance from various parties is by utilizing the school’s social capital. Social capital consisting of networks, norms and trust is able to solve educational problems in Tegal City, especially in efforts to fulfill the educational needs of coastal children. The network formed at the PKBM Sakila Kerti Sea School is supported by cooperation, both among the school community and cooperation between the school and partners. In the network that is formed there are also norms that contain rules or regulations to control a person’s behavior and in establishing social relationships. Mutual trust in each other is also very important to strengthen social networks and cooperation, as well as implement norms as well as possible to accompany the development of the PKBM Sakila Kerti Sea School.Permasalahan putus sekolah menjadi persoalan yang serius dalam dunia pendidikan sehingga harus diselesaikan agar kebutuhan dasar setiap orang terhadap pendidikan terpenuhi. Salah satunya adalah melalui lembaga pendidikan nonformal yang berbasiskan masyarakat, yaitu Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM), seperti PKBM Sakila Kerti yang berada di wilayah pesisir pantai di Kota Tegal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara PKBM Sakila Kerti mendapatkan dukungan dan bantuan dari berbagai pihak sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan anak, khususnya anak pesisir yang putus sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan beberapa pihak PKBM Sakila Kerti, orang tua murid, dan masyarakat, serta hasil observasi peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cara PKBM Sakila Kerti mendapatkan dukungan dan bantuan dari berbagai pihak adalah dengan memanfaatkan modal sosial yang dimiliki PKBM Sakila Kerti. Modal sosial yang terdiri dari jaringan, norma, dan kepercayaan mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan pendidikan di Kota Tegal khususnya dalam usaha pemenuhan kebutuhan pendidikan anak pesisir. Jaringan yang terbentuk di PKBM Sakila Kerti didukung dengan adanya kerja sama, baik di antara warga sekolah serta kerja sama antara sekolah dengan mitra. Dalam jaringan yang terbentuk juga terdapat norma-norma yang berisi aturan-aturan atau tata tertib untuk mengontrol perilaku seseorang maupun dalam menjalin hubungan sosial. Rasa saling percaya satu sama lain dalam hal tersebut kemudian perlu ditingkatkan agar jaringan sosial dan kerja sama dapat terus bertahan mengiringi perkembangan PKBM Sakila Kerti.

Abstract

The necessary standards for conducting and disseminating research rely on research ethics. Research ethics determine whether research is integrity-based and adequately completed. Given the significant role of ethics in research, much of the research in Indonesia does not fall under the remit of research ethics committees (REC), especially research in studies, such as in education. This condition might happen because of the lack of knowledge about ethics in research and their significance. Thus, this case study aims to observe whether or not Indonesian researchers have enough knowledge about research ethics and their perception of the essential roles of ethics in research. We collected the data through a written interview with 20 participants selected purposely. The results of this study provided an extended discussion of knowledge and understanding of research ethics among Indonesian researchers in the educational field. We concluded that social researchers’ knowledge, support, and access to gain ethical clearance for the research should receive particular attention so that research in social studies could be ethically conducted and presented with qualified and validated results.
