Abstract

Culture-based learning enables teachers and students to participate actively based on their knowledge about culture, producing optimal learning results. Ethnomathematics, particularly math, is a potential bridge gap Between culture and education. Because of that's very important to plan appropriate teaching materials in Pasuruan with characteristics of learning mathematics-based ethnomathematics in traditional syawalan. Study this aim for make product in the form of a book -based creator ethnomathematics in understand draft for could complete problem mathematics, as well knowing response and results in study student after using learning media on the material algebra. The techniques used are descriptive and qualitative using ethnomathematics e-books. The development used a 4D model consisting of 4 stages: definition, design, development, and stage dissemination. Instruments used shaped responses students through sheet questionnaires and test results studied through sheet tests. Based on validity test analysis by (media, materials, and experts culture), practicality test through response student gets average score 3.62 with category excellent practicality, effectiveness test, and analysis ability understanding draft student through test understanding completeness study by 82 percent. So that could conclude that the developed ethnomathematical e-book media in traditional syawalan "lontong vegetables” for increase understanding draft middle school students about operation algebra worthy used to enhancement understanding draft students because of Fulfill valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the most important mathematical abilities and must be possessed by every student. In solving mathematical problems, everyone has a different way and style of thinking. The existence of grouping of students based on the specialization of the special subjects of the department shows that the basic abilities, skills, or intelligence in schools also vary. This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of specialization in Science, Social Sciences, Language, and Religion with a focus on the Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV). The type of this research is descriptive qualitative analysis research. The subjects in this study were students of class X MAN 2 Malang City. The results of this study indicate that 1) At the stage of understanding the problem, some students with specialization in Social Studies and Language Studies were not able to understand the problem correctly based on the information obtained from the problems given, 2) At the stage of implementing the plan students with specialization in Religion Studies, Social Studies, and Language Studies made several mistakes such as lacking careful in carrying out arithmetic operations so that the results obtained are less precise, 3) At the stage of re-examining students with specialization in Religion Studies and Language Studies, they do not write down the results of re-checking because they are not accustomed to re-checking whether the answers obtained are correct or not, 4) Students with specialization Science Studies has fulfilled every stage of problem-solving

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The type of research used in this research is a case study. This research was conducted in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Malang. 7 research subjects were math teachers at schools who taught grades X to XII. Collecting data in this study using observation and interview techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis technique proposed by Miles & Hubberman (Reduction, Presentation, Conclusion). The results of the problems found: 1) some students do not yet have a mature understanding of mathematical concepts and do not have the knowledge to learn mathematics from previous classes, and 2) lack of motivation to learn, 3) the use of instructional media is less effective in stimulating student learning motivation, and 4) the use of learning methods is not adapted to the characteristics of students. 5) Teachers with 2 to 5 years of teaching experience at the beginning tend to use learning media actively, while teachers who have been teaching for a long time with more than 10 years of teaching experience tend to use traditional learning methods. 6) Teachers' capacity to use ICT is still lacking, and teachers' capacity to integrate technology into teaching practice is lacking. In other words, teachers are not proficient with computers and lack ICT equipment and infrastructure. 7) schools with existing facilities such as LCDs, computers, and the internet are rarely used in the learning process

Abstract

In this study, the researcher made preliminary observations on students of class XI IPA at MAN 2 Malang City, there were still students who had low learning motivation in participating in mathematics. It can be seen from the mid-semester learning outcomes, namely around 37% of student learning outcomes under the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The purpose of this study was to explore students' motivation in mathematics in geometry material. The research was conducted at MAN Malang City. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA at MAN 2 Malang City, totaling 226 students consisting of 8 classes. Sampling was done by simple random sampling, the number of samples was 150 students. The instrument used was the questionnaire method, the measurement scale used in this questionnaire instrument was a Likert scale with a checklist form (√). Based on this research data, it was found that the objective indicator of intrinsic orientation obtained a score of 3.68% in the good category. Meanwhile, indicators of extrinsic motivation are categorized as good with a percentage of 3.72%. The task score indicator is categorized as good with a score of 3.80%. Trust control indicators for learning to get 3.50% are categorized as good. The self-confidence indicator with a score of 3.57% indicates good criteria. The last indicator of anxiety when the test scores 3.32% indicates good criteria. By having high learning motivation, students will be able to overcome their anxiety when approaching exams as a challenge that must be faced to achieve success

Abstract

Mathematics communication, which includes writing, drawing, and expressing mathematics, is essential in learning mathematics. The teacher needs to design learning to develop the ability to communicate mathematically. Questions presented in the Rainbow Mathematics Card (RMC) allow participants to be educated to convey the ideas and concepts that become part of developing mathematics communication ability. The study aims to make mathematics communication ability TGT learning with RMC. A type study is a mixed method that is designed and experimented with in subjects research. Data was obtained through test mathematics ability communication before and after learning using a paired t-test. The results showed an enhanced mathematics communication ability through the TGT learning model with RMC.Komunikasi matematika yang meliputi menulis, menggambar, dan mengekspresikan matematika, sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Guru perlu merancang pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berkomunikasi matematis. Soal-soal yang disajikan dalam Rainbow Mathematic Card (RMC) memungkinkan peserta dididik untuk menyampaikan ide dan konsep yang menjadi bagian dari pengembangan kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk tes peningkatan kemampuan matematis melalui pembelajaran TGT dengan RMC. Jenis studi adalah metode campuran yang kemudian dikembangkan dan dieksperimentasikan ke subjek penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis melalui pembelajaran TGT dengan RMC.

Abstract

Students' creative thinking skills and different self-efficacy cause weaknesses for students in solving problems presented in learning mathematics. This study aimed to determine how implementing video-assisted problem-based learning affects students' self-efficacy and creative thinking abilities. This research method uses quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. The study sample population of class XII IPA 2 students consisted of 34 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the class XII IPA 1 and control classes. Statistical analysis of N-Gain score of self-efficacy sig 0,014 0,05 and creative thinking skills sig = 0,003 0,05. The study results show significant differences in self-efficacy and creative thinking skills of students in the experimental class compared to the control class. This indicates the enormous difference in gains between experimental and control classes. Thus, the influence of problem-based learning assisted by video animation on students' self-efficacy and creative thinking abilities is very large. Problem-based learning model with animated videos can organize students in informing learning objectives so that students have the motivation to be actively involved in problem-solving activities.Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dan self eficacy yang berbeda menyebabkan kelemahan bagi siswa untuk memecahkan masalah yang disajikan dalam pembelajaran Matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi terhadap kemampuan efikasi diri dan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 2 terdiri dari 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XII IPA 1 terdiri 30 siswa sebagai kelas pembanding. Analisis statistik tes berpikir kreatif memperoleh nilai signifikasi = 0,003 0,05 and efikasi diri sebesar 0,014 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara berpikir kreatif dan efikasi diri siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian bahwa pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi terhadap efikasi diri dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sangat besar. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan video animasi dapat mengorganisasikan siswa dalam menginformasikan tujuan pembelajaran sehingga siswa memiliki motivasi untuk terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pemecahan masalah.
