Abstract

Extracurricular activity is an activity related to co-curricular and intracuticular in school. One of the main objectives of this extracurricular activity as a place for students who have the interest to follow the activity. This activity can form a positive attitude of students. This study aims to determine the effect of extracurricular activities on the ability of students' mathematical understanding in SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah. The research method used is a quantitative method with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 24 applications. The sample used in this study is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah who follow extracurricular and do not follow extracurricular. Students who follow extracurricular become experimental class and students who do not follow extracurricular become control class. The results of this study are the ability of students' understanding of mathematics in SMP Negeri 1 Ngamprah who follow extracurricular and do not follow extracurricular have significant differences. Students who follow extracurricular activities have a better understanding of mathematics than students who do not follow extracurricular activities. Seen based on the existing data obtained the average of the experimental class is 41.8 and the control class 34.4. It gives some influence to the students' comprehension ability that is, giving positive values and good personality for the students, such as thinking creatively and wisely in determining the action, attitude, and decision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan data dan melakukan analisis kebutuhan tentang sebuah model instruksional yang relevan dan efektif bagi guru SD dalam mengembangkan kompetensi ruang kelas mereka dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan proses matematika siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 9 pertanyaan dalam kuisioner eksploratif yang melibatkan 90 guru SD yang mengajar matematika di 6 kabupaten/kota di provinsi Gorontalo. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi kompetensi dasar guru, melakukan analisis SWOT dan mempertimbangkan berbagai opini dan gagasan guru dalam kuisioner. Kami menyimpulkan bahwa model instruksional yang efektif adalah kegiatan langsung di sekolah peserta dengan menerapkan 5 prinsip akuisisi pengetahuan dari Merrill (berbasis-masalah, aktivasi, demonstrasi, aplikasi dan integrasi) melalui penyelenggaraan kegiatan secara periodik dan tematik di lokasi yang didistribusikan pada sekolah-sekolah dengan masalah yang relevan dengan topik pelatihan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Pembelajaran IPA tentang Gaya Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Gebangsari Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.  Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis, (2) meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V dengan jumlah 21. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah: (a) mengidentifikasi pokok permasalahan, (b) membuat perencanaan pemecahan masalah, (c) melaksanakan penyelidikan untuk memecahkan masalah, (d) melaporkan hasil penyelidikan, (e) menganalisis proses pemecahan masalah, (2) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL)  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), berpikir kritis,hasil belajar, IPA

Abstract

Empirical phenomena show that public accountability and government performance is moderately weak. In that sense, the superlative accomplishment of the state bureaucracy in implementing its task and responsibilities depends not only on the intellectual and managerial capacity, but also on the behavior and organizational culture. This implies that capacity building process has to embrace effort of constructing knowledge and skills as well as good attitude, evenly. In order to strengthen the dimension of work culture in a government institution, State Minister for Apparatus Empowerment (MENPAN) has released many policies, particularly Decree No. 25/KEP/M.PAN/4/2002 concerning Guidance of Extending Work Culture for State Apparatus, from which this paper identifies the current condition and analyses the implementation of work culture principles in the local government institutions in Kalimantan region. Abstract

Objectively, border area is indeed a backward district compared to areas outside the border areas. Moreover, this  condition has revealed some issues in the border areas such as chronic poverty, isolation, low human resource index, the absence of public service facilities, shortage of staple supplies, etc. It has to be admitted that up to this time the performance of both the central and local government in the public area as well as development of social economic (education, health, infrastructure, income increase, and purchasing power, etcetera) in the border area is still relatively very low. Various conditions exist in the border area as well as the low performance of the government in the public service area need to be anticipated by strengthening the role of the state, for example through structuring the organization/ institution. Structuring institution in the border area has ultimate goal i.e. to increase the quality of public service to the society in the border area and at the same time, it can stimulate the acceleration of economic social development equally.  Keywords: wilayah perbatasan, kinerja pelayanan, penataan kelembagaan

Abstract

Various Complaints from society that often occur nowadays againts the service given by government indicate the unprofessional bureucracy performance in giving service to society. Performance of public service in Indonesia still remain unprofessional as the consequences of Indonesia’s bureaucracy that is not designed to “serve the society/abdi masyarakat”. Effort to improve the public service have been done by State Minister for Apparatus Empowerment (Menpan) trough some policies related to the public service such as the latest Menpan Regulation No. 25/ /M.PAN/04/2006 concerning Assesment of Performance of Public Service Unit that offer Excellent Service Award for Service Unit with the best performance. Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematics learning outcomes in the even semesters of the 2019/2020 school year. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tolangohula using a descriptive method involving 19 students as research samples. The data obtained from the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students who took the even semester exam where the test was presented in the form of objective questions and essays involving several indicators: (1) knowledge, (2) understanding, (3) application and (4) analysis. Then described in the form of mean  , median (Me), mode (Mo), histogram and percentage. The results showed that students' mathematics learning outcomes in even semesters were in a very low category with the percentage in the very low category as much as 84.21%, as much as 0% in the low category, as much as 10.53% in the medium category, as much as 0% in the high category. and there are as many as 5.26% in the very high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi yaitu oleh rendahanya hasil belajar matematika peserta didik khususnya pada materi himpunan. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan Realistics Mathematics Education  (RME). Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelas VII di MTs Negeri 1 Bone Bulango. Tindakan kelas terlaksana sebanyak dua siklus karena pada siklus pertama belum mencapai kriteria pencapaian indikator. . Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil pengamatan kegiatan guru pada siklus I memiliki presentase sebesar 70,88%, dan pada siklus yaitu meningkat menjadi sebesar 81,66%. Sedangkan untuk hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 56,81% dan pada siklus II memperoleh yaitu sebesar 80,69%. Untuk tes hasil belajar siswa yang awalnya pada siklus I yaitu hanya mencapai presentase sebesar 60% siswa yang mendapat nilai mencapai KKM. Pada siklus II memperoleh nilai  75 presentase sebesar 90% dan nilai  75  yaitu sebesar 10%. Diperoleh bahwa dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran Realistick Mathematics Education (RME) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi himpunan kelas VII di MTs Negeri 1 Bone Bolango.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Jigsaw Cooperative Type model in the comparison material. This research is a type of classroom action research. This research consists of two cycles. The research subjects were students in class VII–5 for the academic year 2022–2023, with a total of 28 students, consisting of 17 male students and 11 female students. The techniques used in data collection were teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and tests of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research consists of two cycles. The results showed that the test results for students' problem-solving abilities in cycle I, namely 46.43%, had a good minimum criterion, and in cycle II, the minimum criteria increased to 85.71. From observations of teacher activities managing learning, there was an increase in cycle I, namely 50%, where the minimum criteria were good, and in cycle II, namely 87.5%. The results of observations of student activities experienced an increase from cycle I, namely 50%, where the minimum criteria were good, to cycle II, namely 87.50%. This means that learning using a jigsaw cooperative model in comparative material can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are important skills in the world of education, but students are less enthusiastic when solving math problems which causes students' mathematical creative thinking skills to be low. This study aims to determine the validity of students' mathematical creative thinking skills on quadratic function material with the Rasch Model. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The subjects of this study are 106 students consisting of school students, this research is carried out by testing instruments on research subjects. Through the instrument, there are four indicators consisting of eight questions that are tested for validity and bias using the Rasch Model, the results are that all items are declared fit on the validity test, 24 people are declared misfit, with a reliability test score of 0.73 including high criteria and seven items are indicated as biased items.
