Abstract

The old people experience physical, cognitif ability, and  psychological decline. Because of the changing or decline, the old people need support from their closest family. The old people physical changing causesinterference on their independence and from all the changing experienced by the old people especially the pshycological changing will influence the old selves concept. The objective of research is to find out the relationship between family’s support and the old people independence using the old people selves concept in Bambankerep sub district Ngaliyan district Semarang city. The type of research used is study corellation. Thepopulation of this research is the old people in Bambankerep sub district as many as 212 old people. Sample as many as 57 respondents using sample taking technique  by choosing the same characteristics with the old people population scope in Bambankerep Sub district. The old people average age is 67,56 years. 57 respondents have good family’s support as many as 51 old people (89,5%), the old people independence level which is classified as independence are 33 old people (57,9%), and the old people who have good selves concept are 55 old people (96,5%). There is relationship between family’s support and the old people selves concept and there isn’t relationship between the old people independence and the old people selves concept in Bambankerep sub district  Ngaliyan District Semarang city. Family gives support to the old people especially the instrumental support so that the old people have good selves concept.Key Words; Family’s support, the old people independence, the old people selves concept

Abstract

Kualitas seorang anak dapat dinilai dari proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya sejak masa bayi,oleh sebab itu masa tersebut perlu perhatian lebih termasuk proses perkembangan fisik maupunpsikologis. Salah satu perkembangan fisik yang perlu diperhatikan yaitu perkembangan motorik, yangterdiri dari perkembangan motorik halus dan motorik kasar. Beberapa hal yang berkaitan denganperkembangan adalah keadaan tubuh baik kualitatif maupun kuantitatif yang berubah secara teratur,progresif dan koheren atau dikenal dengan pertumbuhan Salah satu metode untuk mengukurpertumbuhan adalah penggunaan ukuran antropometri. Beberapa hasil penelitian mengungkapkanbahwa anak yang mengalami hamatan pertumbuhan menjadi tidak aktif, apatis, pasif, dan tidakmampu berkonsentrasi. Kondisi tersebut akan berakibat pada terlambatnya perkembangan motorikkasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melakukan kajian terhadap ukuran antropometri tubuh yangmenjadi pemicu proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan motorik kasar anak balita. Populasipenelitian adalah seluruh balita di Posyandu “Balitaku Sayang” Kelurahan Jangli KecamatanTembalang Kota Semarang, sebanyak 160 orang. Sampel diambil secara purposiv sebanyak 80 balita .Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran antropometri yang berhubungan dengan perkembanganmotorik kasar adalah tinggi badan dalam bentuk indeks tinggi badan berdasarkan umur (TB/U) danindeks massa tubuh berdasarkan umur (IMT/U).

Abstract

Fluctuations in blood glucose levels in Diabetes Mellituspatients to be the main cause of developing complications, due to the formation of free radicals which can lead to oxidative stress. Many studies have been done, but it is still rare that utilize food that can be consumed daily as a source of vegetable-based therapy. Vitaral mix is the formula of food sourced watercress and black rice bran. Watercress contains vary nutrients vitamins B1, B2, C, E, provitamin A, folic acid, protein, glucosinolates, minerals iodine, iron, calcium, and phosphorus. Black rice bran contains anthocyanins were shown to have strong antioxidant activity. This study aimed to analyze the effect of vitaral mix diet to changes in the levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol, which treated on animal models. The results showed that the levels of HDL in the control group is 44.7 ± 2.19 mg / dl during the study, as well as LDL (59.6 ± 2.89 mg / dl). HDL levels in the group of diabetic rats increased 3.4 ± 2.99 mg / dL, while elevated LDL levels is 19.6 ± 11.33 mg / dl. HDL levels of diabetic rats with vitaral mix diet increased significantly during the study amounted to 53.9 ± 3.59 mg / dl, but LDL levels decrease with 9.9 ± 5.72 mg / dl.Keywords:vitaral mix, HDL, LDL

Abstract

Fat deposits in the abdominal cavity that is known to be technically able to see thevalue of the waist circumference to hip circumference or better known as the waist -hip circumference ratio ( RLPP ). Waist hip circumference ratio values that reflect how many high fat deposits in the abdominal cavity. Consumption of fatty foods can increase hip and waist circumference weight. Decline in physical activity is also related to increased waist circumference. The general aim of this study is the relationship of food resource consumption of fats, carbohydrates and physical activity with waist belt circumference ratio ( RLPP ) at teamster PO AGM Kudus.  Type Explanatory research is research with cross- shopping approach ( crossectional ). Total sample of 30 teamsters PO. AGM. Not possible extraction of samples for all units studied population. Normality test data using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test processed using a computer program SPSS version 18.0.  Test used is the Spearman Rank Test. The results showed that 53.3 % of respondents age 36-45 years, 56.7 % high school education/MA, 70 % fat consumption level more categories, 53.3 % carbohydrate consumption level of good category, 63.3 % physical activity categories are, and a 90 % ratio of waist circumference risk of hip degenerative disease category.   Conclusion that there is relationship between fat consumption level with waist hip circumference ratio ( p-value = 0,004 ), there was no relationship between the level of carbohydrate consumption with waist hip circumference ratio ( p-value = 0,326 ), and thereis no relationship between physical activity with the rate at Waist belt circumference ( p-value = 0,064 ). The teamster to eat a balanced diet, especially foods that contain energy and carbohydrate source, source of protein, fat source, and the source of other micronutrients needed enough. This is to support the teamster physical activity and prevent the risk of degenerative diseases.Key word : fat intake, carbohidrat intake, physical activity, waist circumference to hip circumference

Abstract

Anemia is a lack of blood diseases are mostly caused by the consumption of food, thats less of iron. Lack of iron consumption in Indonesia caused by the people consume more plant foods that are less of iron, more less than the animal foods that are high of iron, The condition is very risky tothe occurrence of anemia. The protein consumpsion of Indonesian community are still low. The condition will increase the risk of occurence of anemia.The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between contribute a side dish of animal, vegetable and vegetable with protein and iron consumption levels of the student who lives in Rusunawa Residence 1 UNIMUS.This research is explanatory research design with cross sectional approach. The number of sample is 52 students who are living in Rusunawa Residence 1 UNIMUS. The sample was put bythe simple random sampling tehnique. The bivariate statistical analysis was done by the Pearson correlation test.The results show that the average of contribution of protein animal dishes was 12.68% of AKG and the average of iron was 4.62% of AKG, The average of contribution of protein vegetableside dishes was 36.92% of AKG and the average iron was 40.76% of AKG. The average of protein vegetable contribution was 4.82% of AKG and iron was 6.36% of AKG. There are 29 student (55,8 %) who consume protein under 100% of AKG and there are 48 student (92,3 %) who consume iron under 100% of AKG.Conclusion : There is no relationship between the contribution of protein and iron animal side dish with the protein and iron consumption level. There is a correlation between thecontribution of protein and iron vegetable side dish with the protein and iron consumption levels.Keywords: The Contributions of Side Animal, plant and Vegetables. , The Protein and Iron Consumption Level.

Abstract

The women participation in economic activities are not a new phenomenon in Indonesia. The number of women workers are getting higher every year. But the nutrition and health ofwomen worker have not received the good attention, so it can lead to women worker productivity is lower than in male workers. One of the factors that affect the productivity of labor is the adequacy of nutrients, such as: energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate, where are as macro nutrients the body needs. Inaddition to the adequacy of macro nutrients, micronutrients also play an important role in the body. One of them is iron, iron consumption is inadequate will increase the absorption of ironfrom food, mobilizing iron stores in the body, reducing the transportation of iron to the bone marrow, and a decrease in hemoglobin, resulting in anemia and ultimately can reduce theproductivity of labor of women. The research is analytic research was done at CV. Mubarok Food Cipta Delicia, thats have 25 people as women workers. All of the women workers were used as the sample in this study. Analysis of the data using One Way Anova Test. The results showed that the average energy consumption of women workers is 1747.2 kcal and fulfilling 79,5 % of the daily energy requirement. The average consumption of proteinwomen workers is 53.4 grams and fulfilling 91.5% of the daily protein requirement. While the average consumption of women worker iron are 8.9 mg and fulfilling 39.5% of the daily ironrequirement. Test results show there are no difference in labor productivity of women employe based on their level of energy consumption (p= 0,57), protein(p =0,483) and iron (p = 0,153).Key words: women worker productivity, energy consumption, protein consumption, iron consumsption.

Abstract

Ficus Carica Fruits known as tin fruits contain high antioxidants which are believed to be able to help decreasing total cholesterol level. This study aimed to determine the difference in totalcholesterol levels of menopausal women with hypercholesterolemia before and after tea of ficus carica fruits treatment.This research was experimental study with pre-post test controlled groupdesign. Fourty menopausal women with total cholesterol >200 mg/dL were divided into 2 groups, the intervention group (P1; n=20) which was given two bags of tin tea (4 g); and the control group (P2; n=20) which was given the water considered as control. The samples were  taken by the randomsampling method. Analysis of normality data using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and  continued with paired t-test statistic and independent t-test to determine the significant differences. Total cholesterol level of P1 significantly decreased by 119,45 mg/dl (p<0,01); while total cholesterollevel in control group decreased by 1,15 mg/dl (p=0,072). Giving the tea of ficus carica fruits can significantly decrease total cholesterol in menopausal women with hypercholesterolemia.Keywords: tin tea, hypercholesterolemia, menopausal women, total cholesterol level.

Abstract

The toddler years are the first five-year period in a child's life every human being A golden age is very important , especially physical growth . At this time 90 % of individual brain cells grow and thrive . When the golden age of children neglected , it will be a problem for the toddler, now and in the future.The research is analytical research with Pre - experimental research method and a one- group pre - test post - test design . This study aims are to determine the effect of supplementary feeding on recovery changes in weight BGM worm at the area of Kelambu health center at Grobogan regency . Samples were taken by means of saturation sampling , as the sample of all infants BGM worm.There is a difference in weight before and after the administration of PMT – P (p = 0.000) , there is a correlation between energy intake with changes of body weight (p = 0.000), and there is a correlation between proteins intake with changes of body weight,(p = 0.000).Keywords :PMT-P, changes of baody weight, BGM worm

Abstract

There are many versions of the diet to reduce the body weight in Indonesia. One of the diet is food combining (FC). Food Combining is setting a diet tailored to the needs of the body,related the time in the morning, noon and night. The devide of the time are called sirkandian so there are morning sirkandian, noon sirkandian and night sirkandian.The diet that;s refers to abalanced diet in order to get the best results for the purpose of health and other objectives. The specific characteriristics of FC is to be achieved by not mixing the acid food and the alkaliedfood, to be consumed together. Likes another diets, adherence to the rule of FC will be the key of successful in the diet.The aims of this study ia to know the difference of the body weight decline by an adherence of food combining dieters.This study is a analytical study with survey method and cross sectional aprroach. The sample of study is all members of Qita Sehat Dengan FCassociation, amount to 25 people.All of them are FC dieters. The deferent of body weight decline by an adherence of FC dieters were analyzed by Independent t-test.The results showed that generally an adherence of FC dieters are not good, so there are 40 % at morning sirkandian, 56 % at noon sirkandian and 40 % at night sirkandian. In 2 montof the study, the average of body wight dicline of the FC doeters is 3,72 kg. Generally, the body mass index (BMI) of the FC dieters are at normal category. There are many differences in body weight decline that significantly by p < 0.05 between the FC dieters who adherence with who not adherence of the other. There are not differences in BMI significantly by p > 0.05 between the FC dietwrs who adherence with whonot adherence of the others.There is a significantly difference in body weight decline by an adherence of FC dieters.There is not significantly difference in BMI by an adherence of FC dieters.Keywords: Food Combining, body weight decline, obedience, IMT

Abstract

School-age children is an investment the nation , one day they will  become the successor cadre development in Indonesia. Government should strive to improve the quality of human resources that should be done early , by way of improving quality in terms of both health and intelligence in a systematic and sustainable . School-age children development and learning achievements require adequate nutrient intake , both in terms of quantity and quality.  Before leaving for school, children are expected to have breakfast in the morning at home ( Hidayat , 1995: 597 ) . The purpose of this study to know the relationship between breakfast at home and the amount of pocket money with  snack consumption at the school.  . The research used an explanatory research and approached by cross sectional methode. The method of collecting data used by the interview survey and using questionnaires. The population in this study were all elementary school students at Semarang City but an accessibility population is all students at Sukorejo N 02 elementary school Semarang . The size of population was  254 students. The sample is taken.by purposive sampling technique, for 4’d and 5’d grade at the elementary school.. The results showed that 85.4 % of respondents do breakfast at home , 65.8 % of respondents had pocket money IDR 3,146.00 average , 72.0 % of respondents consume  2 number of types of snack.  The chi square test used for data analysis  showed that there is a  significant relationship between breakfast at home with the snack consumption at school ( p value = 0.007 and .  α = 0.05 ). . Based on the research, Spearman rank correlation test used for data analysis showed that there is a relationship between the amount of pocket money to get a snack with the  snack consumption at  schools . Preferably before go to school, the student doing breakfast at home and  they are given education about the importance of eating breakfast, when they are at the school.
