Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for effective mathematical learning models for students with learning difficulties in math at inclusion schools. The formulation of the problem is "How can the learning model that can be used to help the child the difficulty learning math in understanding the concept of numbers?". This research uses Reseach and development method. Research data obtained from the results of student tests and observation of student and teacher interaction. This research produced a model of mathematics learning design for students with learning difficulties. The conclusion is that (1) Mathematics learning model can improve students' understanding about addition and reduction of three numbers, because in general the learning achievement of students before and after learning differ significantly. (2) Learning that takes place more centered on the students (student center), because the student activity is greater than the teacher activity. (3) The use of students' mathematics teaching aids increases from one to two meetings. (4) The students' response to the Mathematics learning model is positive.

Abstract

The development of the globalization era at present leads to technological advancements in various fields, encompassing economics, social aspects, education, and health. Technological progress brings forth both positive and negative impacts on the environment. One of the negative impacts of technological advancement on the environment is environmental degradation resulting in a decline in the quality of the living environment. The environment constitutes a unified system wherein there exist interrelated interactions among living organisms, objects, and resources. An individual's attitude can determine the favorable or unfavorable conditions and situations that occur within the surrounding environment. The environment must be maintained in terms of cleanliness and beauty with a strong sense of responsibility and a heightened awareness in environmental preservation. However, based on observational findings, it is evident that the attitude of environmental concern among students at a certain State Elementary School in Purwakarta is still lacking. To cultivate a sense of environmental concern, a service initiative is conducted with the aim of providing education regarding environmental awareness, particularly for elementary school students. The outcomes obtained from this service initiative prove to be highly beneficial for the students, as they become more conscious of safeguarding and maintaining the environment around them.

Abstract

A very poor understanding of mathematics is the driving force behind this research. It is far from the expectations of the achievement of the mathematics learning process, based on the results of the observation of the learning of mathematics in class V. This is because at the time of taking the initial datathat obtained a valueof <75 as much as 100% of all students, two of them obtained a value of 60. Problem Based Learning is a model which, when used as a medium for students to think critically and be skilled at solving problems in order to understand them, contains the characteristics of problem based learning. This study is intended to investigate whether using a model of problem based learning referred to as PBL, students' knowledge of mathematics increases and influences.The experimental research, involving the design of a nonequivalent control group, is based on this research. Where are the 5th grade students as the population in this study, so that two classes are given different treatment as a sample with a random sampling selection technique. Based on the N-Gain value in the experimental class and the control class each get a maximum value of 99 and 90 while the minimum value is 64 and 38 with an average of 79.04 for the experimental class and the control class gets 62.15 where the value indicates the level of data spread to the average value of the data is 9.667 in the acquisition of the deviation value in the experimental class and 11.299 in the control class. It is included in the Effective category with a minimum NGF of at least 64% and a maximum NGF of at least 99%, based on the results of the calculation of the NGF test on the data, which shows an average NGF of 79.04% for the class receiving special treatment. In addition, the average NGain which is defined as a sufficient category of 62.15% while the minimum and maximum gains in this control class were 38% and 90% respectively are set out below.

Abstract

The background of this research is the poor literacy ability of Indonesian students based on data from the TIMSS (Trend in International Mathematics and Science Study) and the results of the PISA test. (Programme for International Student Assessment). The aim of the study was to find out how students' numeration literacy was improved using the cooperative type teams games tournament (TGT) model and how the cooperative type TGT model affected the numeration skills of elementary school students. This kind of research is an experimental quasi-sample. In this study, there are as many as 20 students from the experimental class and 20 students from the control class. Students in the experiment class who are treated with the TGT model and those in the those in the control class only receive treatment with the conventional model. The test instrument in this study is a description-shaped test that measures the numerical literacy ability of the student being studied. The result of this study is seen in the average score of students before receiving treatment in the experimental class of 49.00. Then there was an increase in student posttest scores after obtaining learning treatment using the cooperative type TGT model to 86.00. And the calculation of the regression equation test showed that the data from the pretest and posttest obtained a value of  = . From the determination coefficient on the results of the regression analysis of the experimental class, the influence of the model used was 61.8%. It can be concluded that the numeration literacy of students in the experiment class improved after being treated with the Cooperative Type TGT model, and there was a major influence on the TGT model on the numerational literacy ability of the students in the experimental classes.

Abstract

The background of this research problem is due to the low mathematical problem-solving ability of elementary school students, students find it difficult to understand the material taught. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence and improvement of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in elementary school. This type of research uses a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design model. The sample in this study uses a purpossive sampling technique, with two classes as samples. For the experimental class, the VB class gets the Problem Based Learning (PBL) treatment model while the VA class gets the conventional treatment model. The instrument used in this study is in the form of four descriptive questions to measure students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The results showed that the improvement of mathematical problem-solving skills of VB class students who used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model got better results than VA class students who used the conventional model. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has an effect of 68.2% on students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Judging from the results obtained, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can be used as an alternative to teaching and learning activities in the classroom so that the learning carried out becomes more active and trains students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya masalah kemampuan 4C yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa di abad 21 untuk dapat menghadapi perkembangan zaman. Salah satu kemampuan dari 4C yaitu berpikir kritis (critical thinking). Berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan menyelidiki sebuah permasalahan sehingga seseorang tersebut mampu mengambil kesimpulan untuk dapat menyelesaikan masalah. Tetapi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di sekolah dasar masih rendah terutama pada pembelajaran IPA. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan serta pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada Pembelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel penelitian ini siswa kelas VB dan VC sekolah dasar, kemudian dua kelas tersebut dibagi menjadi dua kategori yakni kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data pada model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,61 (kategori sedang) sedangkan pada pembelajaran konvensional memperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,31 (kategori sedang). Hasil perolehan dari menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan yang terjadi pada model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional serta terdapat pengaruh yang dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle terhada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 43%. Berdasarkan pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan: (1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Project Based Learning berbantuan Smart Apps Creator Water Cycle terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa yang disebabkan karena penggunaan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru yang dimainkan dengan ceramah serta menghafal rumus. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) diharapkan dapat dijadikan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis quasi eksperimentdengan bentuk desain kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara . Sampel dalam penelitian ini yakni kelas Va dan Vb pada salah satu siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Purwakarta. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berbentuk soal deskripsi dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah untuk memperoleh data kuantitatif pretest dan posttest siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.; 2) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning(PBL) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa sekolah dasar. Dengan model demikian Problem Based Learning (PBL) direkomendasikan oleh penulis sebagai alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical understanding ability of students because it is difficult to understand abstract concepts in mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model Assisted by Pop-Up Book Media on the Mathematical Understanding Ability of Elementary School Students. The research design used in this study is a quasi-experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, and uses a purposive sampling technique. The sample numbered 28 in each experimental and control class. The data collection process used pretest and posttest instruments with descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The results showed that the CTL model can improve students' mathematical understanding ability by 67.7% so it can be concluded that the CTL model is effective in improving students' mathematical understanding ability.

Abstract

Mathematics is important to be taught to children, starting from elementary school to high school. Mathematics can help students to develop the ability to understand, reason, solve problems, communicate, and develop students' curiosity. Elementary school students need to have understanding skills, one of which is mathematical understanding. Currently, students' mathematical understanding skills are not optimal because students lack enthusiasm in learning, learning has not involved the role of students actively, and students feel that math is difficult. Based on this situation, there needs to be an alternative that can overcome students' difficulties in learning mathematics, namely by applying a scientific approach. This study aims to determine the effect and improvement of the application of the scientific approach to the mathematical understanding ability of the presentation and interpretation of data in class IV SDN 6 Nagrikaler. The samples used in this study were grade IV A and C students of SDN 6 Nagrikaler. The type of research in this study is Quasi Experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. This study resulted in an increase in the average experimental class better than the control class and the magnitude of the influence of the scientific approach on students' mathematical understanding ability of 41.1%. So it can be concluded that there is an increase and a good influence from the application of the scientific approach to students' mathematical understanding ability. Thus, the scientific approach can be used in grade IV learning, especially the presentation and interpretation of data.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa merupakan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan siswa agar dapat terbiasa memecahkan permasalahan matematis dalam kehidupan nyata. Dengan adanya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, siswa mampu memecahkan masalah matematis, serta tidak kesulitan saat menyelesaikan soal matematika dalam pembelajarn matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar; 2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar yang telah mendapatkan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional secara keseluruhan dan berdasarkan KAM rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent pretest postest control group dengan pokok bahasan perkalian desimal di kelas IV sekolah dasar dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 44 siswa. Instrumen tes yang digunakan untuk mengukur hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil kesimpulan: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar yang mneggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod lebih baik secara signifikan daripada siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan konvensional; 2) Terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar sebesar 69,2%. Maka dari itu, model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod cocok diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar di kelas IV. Peneliti selanjutnya merekomendasikan untuk melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan menerapkan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif nearpod untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.
