Abstract

Financial performance is used as a benchmark for the company to see how far the company can continue to survive and develop, and also to see the overall financial health of the company during a certain period. This research basically aims to measure the financial performance of PT. Garuda Indonesia for the 2019-2020 period by applying a profitability analysis using the Dupont method which is based on a return on equity analysis model. The Dupont method is used to analyze a company's profitability and return on equity by dividing performance into four components: net profit margin, total asset turnover, equity multiplier, and return on investment. PT. Garuda Indonesia is the number one and largest national airline in Indonesia with services and facilities that meet world standards. In 2019, airlines were affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic era which caused a global financial crisis. The results found that the financial performance of PT. Garuda Indonesia in 2019-2020 tends to decline in net profit margin, equity multiplier, and return on investment. Meanwhile, the return on equity showed a figure of -7.65% and in the last year it jumped high by 127.46% where the company was at a loss due to low equity due to excessive debt.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of lifestyle, brand image, and product attributes on purchasing decisions on Samsung Smartphone products in East Surabaya. The sample was 97 respondents. The instrument was questionnaire. It used the IBM SPSS 25 software to analyzed data. TBased on the results of the regression analysis, the equation was Y=3,314+0.389X1+0.026X2+0.137X3+e. Then, the result of the test showed that the data is valid and reliable. It was also no multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and normally distributed. The T-test showed that the Lifestyle (X1) had a t-count value of 2.875 and significant 0.005. whereas product attributes (X3) which had a t-count value of 2.677 with significance 0.009, which meant that the X1 and X2 variables affected purchasing decisions, while the Brand Image (X2) variable had no effect on Purchase Decisions because it had t value of 0.368 with a significance of 0.713. The results of F test, showed that the X1, X2, and X3 variables had a simultaneous effect on purchasing decisions with the F count result of 35,439 with significance of 0.000. Then, the results of the determination test was 51.8%.

Abstract

The problem in this study is whether there is a significant relationship between the recitation system and employee performance at PT Multi Garmen Jaya. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the recitation system and employee performance at PT Multi Garmen Jaya. This research was conducted on employees of the sales force of PT Multi Garmen Jaya. Which was done by formulating hypotheses to answer the problems formulated in the statement? The sample used was 60 respondents, the type of data needed (quantitative), the data collection method (primary). Data collection techniques are (observation and questionnaires). The sampling method uses the entire employee. The research instrument test used the validity test, reliability test, and cross-tab chi-square test. Testing the validity, reliability, and chi-square crosstab were carried out using the SPSS 16.0 program. by producing a level of bonus relationship (X1) with employee performance (Y) of, 000 with a significance level of <0.05. The relationship between overtime (X2) and employee performance (Y) is 000-, 001 with a significance level of <0.05, while the relationship between incentives (X3) and employee performance (Y) is 000 with a significance level of <0.05. Based on the hypothesis testing conducted, it can be seen that bonuses have a significant and significant relationship with employee performance. Overtime has a significant and significant relationship with employee performance, while incentive has a significant and significant relationship with employee performance.

Abstract

Pictures are language teaching aids that can make students love to write. They have an idea to write. They can describe what they see. This study focuses on the coherence and unity of student descriptive essay written based on the picture. There are several ways to know how coherence and how the unity of a paragraph. For coherence, there are noun repeats, use of pronouns, use of transitions, and setting sentences in a logical order. On the other hand, for unity, the author only discusses one main idea. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. This study was conducted in three meetings. Each meeting, the students get a different picture. Next, they should write and collect at the end of the meeting. Then, the words, phrases, and sentences written by students are analyzed. Furthermore, it was analyzed descriptively. From the results of student essay, it can be seen that there is a significant improvement on the ability of students in writing descriptive text. It seems that the use of images can help students to write descriptive text. The picture can give them an illustration of what they will write. Keywords: Picture, descriptive text, coherence, unity

Abstract

Hot Potatoes application is one of educational software that contains exercises. The teacher can make the exercise by his own. It consists of JCloze, JQuiz, JCross, JMatch, JMix, and The Masher. Each of them has their own features. The researcher had two statements of the problem. First, he focused on how to create the teaching material using hot potatoes application. Second, he focused on how to apply the hot potatoes application in teaching descriptive text. Next, the subject of this research was the seventh grade students in one of private schools in Surabaya. Abstract

Narotama University has two classes for employee class. They are Class B and Class C. Class B get classic learning. On the other hand, Class C get classic learning and e-learning, it is called as Elina. This research is quasi experimental. The author tests the scores in the business English course on the midterm, final exam, assignments, attendance and total scores for the semester using the t-test method. The result is that there is no significant difference between mixed learning classes and classical learning classes for total scores and attendance. On the other hand, specifically there are two significant differences. First, in midterm grades, mixed learning classes have lower grades than classical learning classes. Second, in the final examination and assignment grades, mixed learning classes have higher grades than classical learning classes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational application that is applied in Yapita Kindergarten Surabaya. The author uses descriptive qualitative methods. The author focuses on how to apply computer education applications to help students memorize the alphabet. The author made observations during the 3x meeting. Each meeting, they get a different computer education application game but the contents of the material are the same. The application has been installed on every school computer that has been adapted to the material being taught. The subject of the research was TK A, amounting to 30 students. Each student uses the computer provided at each meeting for 30 minutes. The results showed that learning media through varied computer programs in a game will make children more excited and enthusiastic to learn because it is not boring. However, for children who do not understand the alphabetical order, they will experience difficulties and confusion. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of traffic driving simulations at Qilpi Al Jihad Kindergarten in Surabaya. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method. The author focuses on applying traffic driving simulations with used media to improve discipline in children from an early age. The author observes 4 times meetings. Each of their meetings plays a different role but with the same content. Media used materials used are available at school and have been adapted to the material being taught. The research subjects were the Qilpi Al Jihad Surabaya Kindergarten which numbered 14 students. All students use media from used materials at each meeting for 30 minutes. The results showed that learning media through varied media used materials will make children more enthusiastic and enthusiastic to learn because it is not boring. However, for children who do not understand the traffic signs and regulations that have been explained by the teacher, they will experience difficulties and confusion. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the use of educational games to improve memorization of 1-20 numbers in TK Diponegoro Surabaya. This school is located at Jalan Kedung Sroko No.17 Surabaya. The sample of this study was the children of B group Diponegoro Kindergarten. The authors used descriptive qualitative methods. The author focused on how to apply the use of educational games to improve memorization numbers 1-20 at Tk Diponegoro Surabaya. The author made observations during the 3x meeting. Each meeting, they play a different educational game but with the same content. The subject of the research was Diponegoro Kindergarten with 20 students. The results showed that students were very enthusiastic in learning to memorize numbers 1-20 as well as improving children's fine motor skills.. Keywords: educational games, memorizing, numbers 1-20

Abstract

This study aims to determine the success of the implementation of teaching aid design "APE Magic Straws" TK RA Qurrata A'yun. Whether the learning media succeed in achieving the formulated goals, namely to develop aspects of early childhood development. It used qualitative descriptive. It was conducted for 4x meetings, each meeting 30 minutes and in its application it can be adjusted to the existing theme. The research subject was 20 students. APE Magic Straws can help introduce geometric shapes, colors, calculations and designs to form anything. The results showed that the APE Magic Straws can stimulate all aspects of early childhood development and make children excited about learning, fun and not boring. However, for children whose physical motor skills are weak, they need a longer time to apply. Keywords: teaching aids, geometric shapes, magic straws, APE design
