Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of capital, cost, working hours, labor, technology, analyze the most influential variables on the production of sand and stone and determine the level of technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, and economic efficiency. The analysis technique uses the Stochastic Frontier Analysis MLE method. The results showed that capital, cost, and technology variables have no significant effect, labor has a positive and significant effect. The most influential variable on sand and stone production in Banyumas Regency is labor. The level of technical efficiency in the production of sand is 0,829418, and stone is 0,743271. The level of allocative efficiency of sand production is 1,799976 and stone 1,997888. The level of economic efficiency of sand production is 1,492933 and stone 1,484972. The production of sand and stone has reached technical efficiency but has not yet reached allocative efficiency and economic efficiency.

Abstract

It aims to find out the influence of inflation rate, interest rate, consumption credit interest, and third party fund toward consumption credit of banks in Indonesia partially and simultaneously, and also to find out a variable which has biggest influence on consumption credit of banks in Indonesia.Research result shows inflation rate, consumption credit interest, and third party fund (clearing account, saving, and fixed deposit) significantly influence consumption credit of banks in Indonesia 2004-2008 period partially and simultaneously, and consumption credit interest has the biggest influence. Implications of this research are in order to keep the increasing of consumption credit, Bank Indonesia should keep inflation rate, consumption credit interest, clearing account, saving, and fixed deposit carefully to keep the stability thus have good impact to economic growth in Indonesia. Keywords: inflation, interest rate, consumption credit

Abstract

This paper aims to measure the economic efficiency, poverty and well-being of nutmeg farmers in Somagede district, Banyumas regency. The respondents consist of 30 farmers selected by snowball sampling due to difficulty in getting sampling frame. Economic efficiency is the ratio between revenue and expenses. Economic efficiency of more than unity means that a particular business is profitable. Poverty is measured by comparing farmers’ percapita income with poverty line, while well-being is compared to regency’s living standard. The results show that in the long-run, nutmeg farming is highly profitable; however in the short-run, it is not attractive due to lead time (5-7 years from planting to harvest). Among 30 respondents, only one farmer is categorized as poor, while the rest are not poor. However, from the well-being perspective, only five respondents are of good well-being. Interventions to improve skills in farming and adding value to nutmeg products are therefore recommended. Keywords: nutmeg farming, economic efficiency, poverty, well-being

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze production elasticity to capital and labor at Batik Banyumas industry. The object of this research is Batik Banyumas business using cross-section data on 2008. The data are capital, especially investment capital, and labor as direct input, and also the quantitiy of Batik production. Primary data is obtained by interview to responden and secondary data is collected from Industry, Trade, and Cooperation Department. The method analysis is multiple regression with Constant Elasticity Substitution (CES) of production function model.  The results of research indicate that:1.   Investment capital and labor influence significantly to the quantity of Batik Banyumas production, partially and simultaneously.2.   Totally,  investment capital,  labor,  and substitution process of labor to capital investment to the quantity of batik production are elastic. Partially, investment capital is elastic but labor and substitution process of labor to capital investment are inelastic.3.    Input substitution rate (between investment capital and labor) with r value indicator is 0,748044991 (<1).  It means that substitution process between investment capital and labor is inelastic and it’s difficult to do. Keywords: direct input, capital investment, labor, partial and total elasticity,  constant elasticity substitution

Abstract

This research is aimed to understand the increasing of deposit account of commercial bank in Cirebon which is seen from the increasing of income percapita in Cirebon, offered deposit account interest rate by bank, and inflation rate in Cirebon. This research was executed by descriptive and quantitative method.  Data was obtained from Bank Indonesia of Cirebon, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Cirebon, and the period of time which is used in this research was during 2001–2007. This research used Natural Logarithmic Multiple Regression Analysis, Classical Assuming Test, and Elasticity test. Regarding to the result of natural logarithmic multiple analysis estimation, it can be concluded that significantly income percapita, deposit account interest rate, and inflation simultaneously affecting deposit account values of commercial bank in Cirebon, meanwhile, partially income percapita and deposit account interest rate significantly affecting deposit account values of commercial bank in Cirebon, and inflation in Cirebon did not give any significant affect toward deposit account values of commercial bank in Cirebon.  Regarding to Elasticity test, income percapita is the most affecting variable toward deposit account value of commercial bank in Cirebon. Keywords: deposit account, income percapita, interest rate, inflation

Abstract

Economic growth is the main condition for increasing the standard of living of a country. Economic growth of a region is not only seen from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) as a reference for regional welfare, it is also seen from the Human Development Index (HDI). The Human Development Index is an indicator that covers several qualities of human life, namely education, health and the laborforce. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education, health and labor force variables on economic growth in Java Island. The analytical technique used in this study is a multiple liner regression analysis. The data used in this study is panel data, namely by combining time series and cross section data from 2010 to 2019 and 6 provinces in Java Island. The results showed that all the independent variables, namely education, health and the labor force together had a positive effect on economic growth. While the most influential variable on economic growth is education. Education is considered to have the most important role in determining human quality. The higher the education level of the labor, the higher the productivity and the higher the economic growth of a country.
