Abstract

For winning the competition, every entrepreneurs have to compete on supply chain. Tani Sejahtera Farm (TSF) is a distributor which cooperates with farmers in distributing organic rice in its supply chain. TSF had problems in coordinating product, financial, and information flows along its supply chain. This research aimed to analyze the condition of organic rice supply chain and its performance. The amount of samples were 14 samples which were all members of organic rice supply chain. FSCN (Food Supply Chain Networking) Framework was used for analyzing the condition of organic rice supply chain. Asset management efficiency approach was used for analyzing its performance. Organic rice supply chain had a network form. From the six elements, the condition of organic rice supply chain had not been good, especially in supply chain management, business processes and its overall performance. Supply chain management had not been implemented well in this supply chain. Its transaction system made TSF difficult to turn its capital back. From its business process, the financial and information flow had not been fluent. Its cash asset management performance had not been well also because it was too long for TSF in collecting its capital.

Abstract

The business of rengginang is potential enough to be developed in Bogor Regency. But, the SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) actors feel that the margin which is accepted is very low. So that, the research about the value chain of rengginang in Bogor Regency should be conducted. The aims of this research are analyzing the value chain of rengginang business and generating the recommendation for SMEs in order to increase the margin.  This research was conducted in Bogor regency using a qualitative method and Porter Value Chain Model. This research was using 55 SMEs as respondents. The sample was determined by purposive sampling method. The results show that from the primary activities of rengginang side, there were only inbound logistics and operation activities which were having a role and contribution in increasing margin (value added) of rengginang. While from the support activities of rengginang side, there were no activities which were contributing in increasing of rengginang’s margin. It can be concluded that the margin or profit of rengginang SMEs was low because not all activities in the value chain model can contribute to increase the margin of rengginang products. The SMEs can maximize all of their activities in value chain and also by selling the rengginang product in cooked condition and in many variation. It can be a strategy to win a competition.

Abstract

Kecamatan Papar Kabupaten Kediri menjadi salah satu kecamatan yang telah menerapkan aktivitas usahatani semi organik dan anorganik. Perbedaaan besaran produktivitas pada usahatani padi semi organik dan anorganik menunjukkan bahwa adanya penambahan bahan organik kedalam aktivitas usahatani memberikan hasil yang positif. Namun, pergeseran aktivitas usahatani dari anorganik menuju semi organik belum banyak dilakukan oleh petani setempat. Analisis risiko produksi perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan variasi produktivitas yang dihasilkan dari usahatani padi semi organik dan anorganik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan rentang batas bawah dan batas atas produktivitas usahatani semi organik lebih besar yang menunjukkan potensi risiko yang lebih besar. Keragaman yang besar memiliki peluang risiko yang lebih besar pula. Hasil perhitungan ragam dan standar deviasi memperlihatkan bahwa usahatani padi semiorganik di Kecamatan Papar Kabupaten Kediri memiliki tingkat keragaman yang lebih besar dibandingkan usahatani padi anorganik. Walaupun demikian, nilai koefisien variasi dari usahatani padi semiorganik maupun anorganik kurang dari batas risiko sehingga dinyatakan petani terhindar dari risiko
