Abstract

This study aims at exploring and understanding two areas: 1. The readiness of coffee shops entrepreneurs in Banda Aceh to expand their business into ASEAN market. 2. Assessing the strength, weakness, opportinty and threat of the coffee shops indusry in Banda Aceh. This study employed exploratory qualitative methode by conducting interview to four key persons who own and manage the coffee shops. The study found that in regards with internationalization of coffee shops, there are three categories : 1. Not willing to internationalize and not ready; 2. There is intention, yet not ready, 3. Ready to internationalize but lack of suitable business partner. This study also provide the SWOT of the coffee shops in Banda Aceh. The implication of this study is that: 1). It is necessary for Provincial Government of Aceh to provide training for coffee shops managers/owners in order to increase their readiness and enable them to find suitable business partner for internationalizing their business into ASEAN market. 2). Future study can be conducted using another type of quantitative or qualitative method, so that the findings can be validated and generalized.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara gaya kepemimpinan demokratis terhadap prestasi kerja, pengaruh kepemimpinan otoriter terhadap prestasi kerja dan pengaruh kedua variable tersebut secara simultan terhadap prestasi kerja. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel sebanyak 62 pegawai negeri sipil yang bekerja pada Sekretariat Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Aceh (DPRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan otoriter berpengaruh sinifikan terhadap prestasi kerja PNS Sekretariat DPRA yang dibuktikan dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 76,77 lebih besar dari Ftabel yang sebesar 3,15. Hasil Uji t masing-masing variable didapati bahwa nilai thitung gaya kepemimpinan demokratis sebesar 5,809 dan gaya kepemimpinan otoriter 2,272 lebih besar dari nilai t tabel 2,000. Ini menunjukkan bahwa baik gaya kepemimpinan demokratis maupun otoriter secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja PNS Sekretariat DPRA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Debt Maturity, Kebijakan Dividen dan Kepemilikan Institusional terhadap Kinerja Keuangan pada Perusahaan terindeks LQ45 di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2017–2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 24 perusahaan yang memenuhi kriteria sampel. Metode pengujian data yang digunakan adalah Analisis Regresi Linear Berganda dengan menggunakan data Sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan baik secara Simultan dan secara Parsial, Debt Maturity, Kebijakan Dividen, dan Kepemilikkan Institusional berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Keuangan pada Perusahaan terindeks LQ45 yang terdaftar di BEI Tahun 2017-2019.

Abstract

This study to analyze the effect of leadership style and promotion on work motivation. This research is through a statement/questionnaire. The sample of this study was 33 employees. The results of the research on the partial test of the variable Leadership Style have an effect on Employee Work Motivation at the Banda Aceh Primary Tax. Position Promotion has an effect on Employee Work Motivation at the Banda Aceh Primary Tax Service Office. Then the Simultaneous Test between the variables of Leadership Style and Position Promotion has an effect on Employee Work Motivation at the Banda Aceh Primary Tax Service Office. Partially, leadership style influences employee work motivation at the Banda Aceh Primary Tax with tcount (2.568) > ttable (2.042). Partially, promotion has an effect on employee motivation at the Banda Aceh Pratama Tax Office with a t-value2,932 ) > ttable (2,042). Simultaneously, Leadership Style and Position Promotion affect Employee Work Motivation at the Banda Aceh Primary Tax with Fcount (23,548) > Ftable (3,316).

Abstract

Motivation and work discipline are an important part of achieving good performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and discipline on employee performance at the Language Center of Aceh Province. This research is a survey, the number of respondents is 31 people. Data analysis using statistical analysis models of correlation and multiple regression. The partial test results show that work motivation influences employee performance with a value of 0.429 or 42.9%. Work discipline affects employee performance with a value of 0.556 or 55.6%. After the t test shows that work motivation has an effect on employee performance of tcount2,151 > ttable1.645 and p value 0.040 < 0.05 means significant. Work discipline affects employee performance with a value of tcount2,552 > ttable1.645 and p value 0.016 < 0.05. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously there is an influence between work motivation and work discipline on performance of 0.798 or 79.8% and 0.637 or 63.7% is influenced by other variables. After doing the F test, the number F is obtainedcount(24,537) > Ftable(3.070) and test the significance that the p value is 0.000 < p which is set at 0.05. The conclusion of the study is that motivation and discipline partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Aceh Province Language Center.

Abstract

Since the enactment of Aceh Qanun Number 11 of 2018 concerning Sharia Financial Institutions, it has required banks in Aceh to merge and convert into sharia banks which has had an impact on the people of Aceh. This incident is in the world's spotlight because the government's performance in its seriousness in developing the Islamic economy, especially sharia banking, needs to be appreciated after its success in combining three Sharia Commercial Banks to occupy the 7th position with the largest assets nationally, which was initially in 20th or 30th position and currently, Indonesia is able to generate assets of IDR 240 trillion or the equivalent of USD 16.78 billion, so it is included in the ranks of the 10 largest sharia banks in the world. This research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence on the Acehnese people's preferences for Sharia Banks after the merger of three Sharia Commercial Banks. This research method is a quantitative method, with the number of samples in this research being 100 respondents. Research data was collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents. This research data was analyzed using a multiple linear regression model and processed using SPSS (Statistical Package For The Social Sciences). The results of this research show that literacy, inclusion, reputation, religiosity partially and simultaneously influence the Acehnese people's preferences for Sharia Banks after the Merger of three Sharia Commercial Banks.

Abstract

A small-scale industry group, "Anugrah," in Gampong Deah Raya, Banda Aceh, is facing challenges in producing processed skipjack tuna. Their conventional sun-drying method leads to inefficient production, with a long processing time of 3-5 days and inconsistent product quality. To solve this, a community empowerment program is proposed, centered on the innovative Smart IoT Drying System. This system is designed to monitor temperature and humidity in real-time, which will accelerate the drying process and ensure better, more consistent product quality. The program also includes training on product diversification and digital marketing to build the business capacity of the partner group. It is hoped that this program will boost production efficiency, expand market reach, and significantly increase the income of the coastal community in Gampong Deah Raya.

Abstract

Empowering communities is key to strengthening local participation and voice, especially in areas facing socio-economic challenges. The purpose of this community dedication activity is to explore a multidisciplinary strategy in empowering communities in Songkhla, Thailand, which is part of the IMT-GT region. Through a qualitative approach, the study analyzes the challenges faced by communities at Songkhlas and identifies various effective empowerment strategies. The results show that its main challenges include the lack of natural resource protection, limited community capacity, and weak coordination among stakeholders. The recommended empowerment strategies include strengthening community capacities through training and support, enhanced partnership and coordination between stakeholder, and the protection of natural resources through environmentally-conscious policies. The findings in this activity highlight the importance of a multidimensional approach in empowering communities in border regions, by involving various stakeholders to inclusive and equitable development

Abstract

Critical thinking is a fundamental skill necessary for addressing global challenges, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This paper explores strategies to instill critical thinking among students, empowering them to actively contribute to SDGs realization. By integrating critical thinking into education, students develop problem-solving abilities, ethical reasoning, and innovative mindsets. This study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing teaching methodologies and their impact on students' engagement with SDGs-related projects. The findings indicate that critical thinking fosters greater awareness and proactive behaviors, enabling students to tackle SDGs challenges effectively. The paper concludes with recommendations for integrating critical thinking into curricula to sustain long-term contributions to SDGs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and job stress on employee productivity at BPJS Employment Banda Aceh, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative survey method, with a population of 33 employees, all of whom were included as the sample using a census (saturated sampling) technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire developed from Robbins & Judge (2019) and Mathis & Jackson (2019), which had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, indicating that higher discipline leads to greater productivity. Job stress also has a positive and significant effect on productivity, suggesting that moderate stress can serve as eustress that motivates employees to work more effectively, although excessive stress may still reduce performance. Simultaneously, discipline and job stress significantly influence employee productivity, with a determination coefficient of 54.7%. These results imply that the management of BPJS Employment Banda Aceh should strengthen the organizational culture of discipline and maintain job stress at an optimal level through clear work policies and effective stress management programs to sustainably optimize organizational performance. Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kedisiplinan dan stres kerja terhadap produktivitas pegawai pada BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kota Banda Aceh, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dengan populasi berjumlah 33 pegawai yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel penelitian melalui teknik sampling jenuh (census). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbasis skala Likert yang dikembangkan dari teori Robbins dan Judge (2019) serta Mathis dan Jackson (2019), dan telah diuji validitas serta reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedisiplinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai, sehingga semakin disiplin pegawai, semakin tinggi pula produktivitas yang dicapai. Stres kerja juga berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja, yang mengindikasikan bahwa tingkat stres moderat mampu menjadi pendorong (eustress) bagi pegawai untuk bekerja lebih efektif, meskipun stres berlebihan tetap berpotensi menurunkan kinerja. Secara simultan, kedisiplinan dan stres kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas pegawai, dengan kontribusi determinasi sebesar 54,7%. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi bahwa manajemen BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kota Banda Aceh perlu memperkuat budaya disiplin pegawai serta mengelola tingkat stres pada level optimal melalui kebijakan kerja yang jelas dan sistem dukungan manajemen stres, guna mengoptimalkan kinerja organisasi secara berkelanjutan.
