Abstract

Bohulo Village, North Gorontalo District, is mostly agricultural land planted with rice and maize. The abundant maize yields in the area have not been followed by maximum utilization. The problem is, the farmers' ability to sell their crops is limited. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the use of crops, especially corn, into processed products that can increase community income, namely in the form of corn brownies. The purpose of this community empowerment program is technology transfer to increase the economic value of corn. This approach method is a participatory method consisting of site surveys, training and evaluation. This activity shows the enthusiasm of the community, especially the women in Family Welfare Education or PKK, corn farmers, and community leaders in Bohulo Village. Corn that is processed into various kinds of food not only adds attractiveness but also provides opportunities to increase income so that it can improve community welfare. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh padat tebar yang berbeda dengan menggunakan Resirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Tawar (BPBAT) Tatelu, Kecamatan Dimembe, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Pengujian dilakukan dengan cara menebar benih ikan mas pada wadah budidaya dengan teknologi RAS dengan kepadatan yang berbeda. Perlakuan A (Kontrol), perlakuan B (10.000 ekor/m3), perlakuan C (15.000 ekor/m3) dan perlakuan D (20.000 ekor/m3). Hasil tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas menunjukkan perlakuan A lebih baik dari perlakuan lainnya (56,02%) dan Perlakuan D menunjukkan nilai lebih buruk dari perlakuan lainnya (43,16%). Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisys of Varience (ANOVA) sehingga menunjukan padat tebar berbeda dengan menggunakan RAS memberikan pengaruh nyata. Parameter kualitas air selama penelitian menunjukkan nilai amonia (NH3) tinggi dikarenakan ketidaksiapan bakteri pada biofilter. Disarankan untuk mengembangkan bakteri (Nitrosomonas dan Nitrobacter) selama 45 hari.Kata Kunci : Ikan Mas, Padat Tebar, Resirculation Aquaculture System, Kelangsungan Hidup.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan larutan daun teh dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap daya tetas dan kelangsungan hidup larva umur 14 hari pada ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) empat perlakuan dengan satu perlakuan kontrol dan tiga kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa nilai daya tetas telur ikan mas perlakuan A = 3g/l yaitu 77,66%, perlakuan B = 5g/l yaitu 74%, perlakuan C = 7g/l yaitu 85,33% dan perlakuan D = kontrol 61%. Sedangkan kelulusan hidup larva ikan mas, perlakuan A= 3g/l yaitu 85.27%, Perlakuan B = 5g/l yaitu 89,64%, perlakuan C = 7g/l yaitu 91,12% dan perlakuan D = kontrol 98,35. Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukan bahwa perlkuan perendaman larutan daun teh dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap daya tetas dan kelangsungan hidup ikan mas memberiakan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap setiap perlakuan. Parameter kualitas air selama penelitian masih dalam kondisi normal untuk penetasan dan kelangsungan hidup larva ikan mas. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of tea leaf solution with different doses on hatchability and survival of 14-day-old larvae in carp (Cyprinus carpio). The research design used was an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) of four treatments with one control treatment and three replications. The results showed that the value of hatching goldfish treatment A = 3g / l is 77.66%, treatment B = 5g / l is 74%, treatment C = 7g / l is 85.33% and treatment D = control 61% . While the survival rate of carp larvae, treatment A = 3g / l was 85.27%, treatment B = 5g / l was 89.64%, treatment C = 7g / l was 91.12% and treatment D = control 98.35. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the need for soaking of tea leaf solution with different doses of hatchability and survival of carp gave a very significant effect on each treatment. Water quality parameters during the study were still in normal conditions for hatching and survival of carp larvae. Katakunci: Ikan mas; telur; larva; daun teh; daya tetas; kelangsungan hidup. Abstract

Landak laut (sea urchin) merupakan salah satu produk sumber daya perikanan penting karena telurnya memiliki nilai ekonomis dan gizi yang baik untuk kesehatan. Desa Kotajin merupakan wilayah pesisir di Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara yang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar terhadap perikanan landak laut. Sayangnya, potensi tersebut belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik karena minimnya informasi dan pengetahuan tentang pengolahan telur landak laut menjadi penganan. Sejalan dengan itu, pemerintah lokal terus mengupayakan dan menghadirkan diversifikasi dari penganan baru yang bergizi dan bernilai ekonomis tinggi untuk mendorong peningkatan gizi dan perekonomian (pendapatan) masyarakat pesisir. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kotajin pada tanggal 26–27 April 2019. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat Desa Kotajin tentang cara pembuatan bakso dari telur landak laut. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah produk bakso dari telur landak laut yang siap untuk dikonsumsi atau dipasarkan kepada konsumen lokal

Abstract

Thyrax adalah bahan komersil yang mengandung bahan aktif hormon tiroksin 0,1 mg/tablet levothyroxine sodium yang berfungsi selama proses embriogenesis dan organogenesis sebelum telur menetas, dengan penelitian ini dapat diketahui  pengaruh perendaman telur dengan thyrax terhadap daya tetas telur dan kelangsungan hidup ikan komet. Metode yang digunakan adalah  Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Dimana, Perlakuan A (Tanpa pemberian thyrax), B (Perendaman telur dengan dosis thyrax 0,10 mg/L), C (Perendaman telur dangan dosis thyrax 0,15 mg/L), dan D (Perendaman telur dengan dosis thyrax 0,20 mg/L). Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa daya tetas telur ikan komet pasca perendaman telur dengan thyrax berpengaruh sangat nyata (P>0,01) dengan hasil terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan B 81,00%, sedangkan untuk hasil kelangsungan hidup berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada perlakuan C 69,03%. Kualitas air selama penelitian berada pada kisaran standar untuk penetasan telur dan kelangsungan hidup ikan komet. Kata Kunci:  Ikan Komet, Thyrax, Daya Tetas Telur, Kelangsungan Hidup.

Abstract

Students community service activities are a form of UNG in supporting government development programs for the realization of SDGs in the villages of Gorontalo Province. One of the villages where KKNT activities are located is Durian Village. This activity was carried out for 50 days in September-November 2021 involving 30 students and 2 lecturers as field assistants. The purpose of implementing this KKN build village program was to encourage and help the community to contribute to the development and foster a responsive attitude of the village government to the potential opportunities and problems in the village. This activity was succeeded in increasing the awareness of the people and olso succeeded in facilitating village government achieve the Village SDGs.

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 50 hari di bulan September-November 2021 dengan melibatkan 30 orang mahasiswa dan 2 orang dosen sebagai pendamping lapangan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan, pendampingan, pengajaran dan praktik partisifatif. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendorong dan membantu masyarakat agar dapat berkontribusi langsung dalam pembangunan desa dan dapat bersikap tanggap terhadap potensi dan permasalahan di desa. Abstract

Red Tilapia is one of the freshwater fish favored by the community because of its delicious and savory taste and economic value. This study aimed to determine the best effect between stocking density and water discharge on the growth and survival rate of Red Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) cultured using by recirculation aquaculture system (RAS). The method used in this study was a factorial 2-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Where the first factor is stocking density with a treatment level of P1 = 1 fish/liter of water, P2 = 4 fish/liter of water, P3= 7 fish/liter of water, and the second factor is water discharge with a treatment level of D1 = 30 ml/second, D2= 40 ml/second, D3= 50 ml/second. The observed variables included growth (total length and total weight) and survival rate (SR). The highest full-length yield was 3.9 cm in the P2D3 treatment (stocking density of 4 birds/liter and 50 ml/second). The highest absolute weight yield was 6.41 grams in the P2D3 treatment (stocking density of 4 fish/liter, water discharge 50 ml/second). Meanwhile, the highest survival rate was 98.15% in the P1D3 treatment (stocking density of 1 fish/liter, water discharge 50 ml/second). The results showed that the interaction between different stocking densities and water discharge did not significantly affect the growth and survival rate of Red Tilapia Fcount < Ftable

Abstract

Mustika Village is a village located in Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province. In facing the Asian Economic Community (AEC), each region must do more to improve its local economy, one way is to maximize its potential. One of the leading commodities and has the potential to be developed in Mustika village is corn which has agricultural waste that has not been utilized properly. The purpose of this activity is to empower the community in the process of utilizing corn cobs as a raw material for feed, in an effort to increase the selling value of underutilized corn cobs. The method used consists of three stages, namely the first stage of surveys and interviews; both socialization and material counseling; and third, training on corn cob waste processing. The results of this activity, starting with observations and interviews, data collection of farmer groups, preparation of activities according to the results of field observations, conducting counseling to provide new insights and information to the community; conduct training in improving community skills, as well as direct practical assistance to the community or farmer groups. The conclusion with this program is that the community, especially farmer groups, are able to process corncob waste into feed and compost in community development.
