Abstract

The culture of literacy in Indonesian society has received attention and development by a lot of parties. Not only the government, even local and foreign NGOs are also heavily involved in advancing the culture of literacy of the Indonesians. However, if we observe carefully, there is no progress of literacy culture in the everyday life among Indonesians. In order to overcome this problem, the Ministry of Education and Culture is developing a school literacy movement (GLS) program to increase community literacy through formal school education. This research was conducted to determine the level of teachers’ reading interest as a result of implementing the school literacy movement program. The method used was quantitative and descriptive analysis through statistical tests. The results showed that primary school teachers in Depok City had a high category of reading interest 26.7%, medium category reading interest 44.4% and low category 28.9%. The results also showed that the implementation of GLS was found in the high category 33.3%, the medium category 43.3% and low category 23.3%. From the research results it was also known that the t-value is 10.051 and the t table is dk = n-k, dk = 90-1 = 89 at the 5% significance level, so it was known that the t table was 1.7. Based on the calculation of t value was greater than t table, namely 7.332 1.7. Therefore, it can be concluded that the School Literacy Movement Program had a significant effect on Teacher Reading Interest.

Abstract

Peserta didik dituntun untuk memiliki kompetensi berpikir dan berkomunikasi sehingga mampu bersaing dalam dunia kerja yang kompetitif. baik tuntunan kurikulum dan dapat merancang serta mengimplementasikannya dalam pembelajaran Namun kenyataannya berdasarkan observasi dilapangan, hasil belajar peserta didik masih ada yang belum mencapai Kriteria Kentuntasan Minimum (KKM). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Reseacrh and Development). Pada penelitian ini produk yang dihasilkan adalah LKPD berbasis model pembelajaran pendekatan saintifik dan bantuan software geogebra. Penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian pengembangan yang di kembangkan oleh Branch yaitu model ADDIE, yang terdiri atas lima langkah, yaitu analisis (analysis), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi LKPD yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan. Kelayakan LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan bantuan software geogebra berdasarkan penilaian ahli media mendapatkan persentase 90 %, sedangkan ahli materi 92,5%. Respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD yang dikembangkan mendapatkan persentase 89,16%.

Abstract

Kurangnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan menyebabkan konsep PPKn belum tersampaikan dengan baik dan menjadi susah dipahami, sehingga membuat peserta didik kurang tertarik dalam belajar PPKn. Selanjutnya untuk mengatasi hal tersbut maka dibutukkan media pembelajaran yang menarik, bersifat praktis (bisa digunakan kapanpun, dimanapun, dan mudah dibawa), dan dapat menggambarkan konsep PPKn secara nyata sehingga menambah minat belajar peserta didik. Peneliti menetapkan jenis penelitian terapan (Applied Research) dengan model penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Seperti telah kita maklumi bahwa Applied Research merupakan jenis penelitian yang berfungsi        sebagai pemeceh masalah dengan tujuan untuk memecahkan masalah sehingga hasilnya dapat dimanfaatkan oleh individu atau lembaga dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas profesionalitasnya. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Teluknaga yang berada di Kabupaten Tangerang. Sumber data akan diambil dari dokumen, hasil wawancara, catatan lapangan dan hasil dari observasi siswa Kelas VII.A SMPN 1 Teluknaga yang mengikuti pembelajaran PPKn pada materi keberagaman suku, agama, ras, dan antargolongan dalam bingkai bhinneka tunggal ika dan guru mata pelajaran PPKn Kelas VII SMPN 1 Teluknaga.Hasil Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa;(1) Media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Web Google Sites yang dikembangkan sudah layak digunakan. (2) Media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Web Google Sites yang dikembangkan dinyatakan efektif. (3) Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis Web Google Sites yang dikembangkan menunjukkan respon positif.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk pemanfaatan media belajar efisien dan menyenangkan. Sampel pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV di SD Curug 04 Jasinga yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik yang diperoleh melalui purposive sampling. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan media belajar efisien dan menyenangkan ini sangat berdampak bagi siswa sekolah dasar di Curug dimana narasumber menggunakan benda-benda di sekitar dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran dan mereka sangat tertarik sehingga rasa keingintahuan mereka pun terpenuhi dengan media belajar yang digunakan.

Abstract

Background. The role of the teacher to increase student learning independence will be very influential. Teachers will be able to help students to carry out learning activities independently. So this will provide opportunities for students to be active during learning. The teacher will be a motivator to increase students' interest, enthusiasm, and self-confidence. This will provide a new enthusiasm for students to do things independently. Independence will also help students be more responsible in doing things. Purpose This study aims to determine how much the teacher's role is in increasing learning independence for students. Teachers who are a place of aspiration for students at school will play an important role in the development of students in the world of education. In addition, it also aims to provide an overview of the development of strategies and methods to support the needs in the process of independence for students. Method. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. This method is a form of data collection in the form of numbers that can be tested. The data obtained is the result of the acquisition of responses from the distribution of questionnaires containing questions regarding the influence of the teacher's role in increasing student learning independence. The statement in the form of a questionnaire is presented in the form of google from which is shared via whatsapp. The collected data will be accessed into excel to be processed using SPSS. Results. The results of this study state that teachers as parents in formal schools have a big role in the efforts of learning independence for students. Providing opportunities for students to be active in learning will provide opportunities towards learning independence. Appreciation and motivation from teachers will increase students' interest in learning. This will help students in overcoming learning difficulties. Teachers can provide guidance to improve students' learning independence. Conclusion This research can be concluded that students need the role of the teacher as a support for increasing independence in learning. Students' independence in learning will affect their daily lives. In addition, it will help students to increase self-confidence, responsibility, initiative, and self-control. So that students are expected to be able to plan the learning process, seek information, and also evaluate learning outcomes.

Abstract

Earthquake hazard has high potential in West Bandung Regency, especially in the areas traversed by the Lembang fault (Lembang, Cisarua and Parongpong Districts). Therefore, disaster preparedness education is needed to reduce hazard, impacts, and increase the capacity of elementary school (SD). The purpose of this study was to determine the condition and level of preparedness of the elementary school in the three sub-districts in facing earthquakes based on implementation of disaster preparedness education. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey with a sample size of 118 students, 36 teachers, and 36 principals/representatives of SD in Lembang, Cisarua, and Parongpong Districts, West Bandung Regency. Measurement of preparedness is carried out by measuring the parameters of knowledge, policies and guidelines, emergency response plans, disaster warnings and resource mobilization in the elementary school then analyzed using index analysis which shows the level of preparedness of the elementary school  . The results showed that students’ preparedness falls into category prepared (index = 75.48), as well as teachers’ preparedness (index = 73.38), while the school preparedness falls into category not yet prepared (index = 31.9) and should improve its’ preparedness. These results indicate that students’ and teachers’ level of preparedness are very good although the infrastructure and the school preparedness implementation are not yet sustainable. The results also showed that the level of preparedness of the elementary school in the region falls into category of nearly prepared with an index value of 56.13. School as an institution and the whole school community should increase the level of preparedness through further study focusing in seismic study and structural or nonstructural study. Disaster preparedness in elementary school (SD) takes infrastructure support, education and institutionalization of preparedness that eventually allows the preparedness actions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk meningkatan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi suhu dan kalor. Objek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V SD Negeri Rangkapanjaya yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar tes pemahaman siswa pada materi suhu kalor dan lembar observasi guru dalam menerapkan metode Problem Based Learning. Indikator keberhasilan yang diterapkan berupa nilai tes pemahaman materi ≥70 (KKM) dengan presentase ketuntasan yaitu ≥75% atau 24 Siswa. Hasil penelitian pada Pra-Penelitian yaitu rata-rata 60,19 dengan 7 siswa yang tuntas dan presentase ketuntasan 22,58% dari 31 siswa. Siklus I rata-rata 72,42 jumlah yang tuntas 15 siswa dengan presentase 48,39%. Siklus II rata-rata 84,19 jumlah siswa yang tuntas 27 siswa dengan presentase 87,10%. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran problem-based learning dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi suhu dan kalor siswa kelas V SD Negeri Rangkapanjaya Kota Depok.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to overcome learning problems in grade 5 SD Islami Daarunnadwah, especially those related to learning the basic science of water recycling. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research where the research subjects are fifth-grade students of SD Islami Daarunnadwah who found 21 students. The results of the Classroom research showed an increase in learning outcomes which was shown in each cycle 1 and 2, where in cycle 1 the value of learning completeness reached a percentage of 71.43 percent and in cycle 2 it had achieved an achievement with a percentage of 100%. From the observations from observers, it also shows that the application of the quantum learning model to science learning in cycle 1 shows the number 31 which is included in the good category while in cycle 2 shows the number 37 in the good category. In this way, the application of the quantum learning model in science subjects with water cycle material has improved the learning outcomes of 5th grade students of SD Islami Daarunnadwah
