Abstract

Introduction: Along with the increasing productivity of agricultural products by using sophisticated farming tools and machinery and the use of pesticides is not followed by the development of farmers' health status. Where many research results state the many effects of acute or chronic poisoning due to the use of pesticides that are not in accordance with procedures and the frequent occurrence of trauma in agricultural areas. However, research that aims to find out the gap has not been much studied; therefore, this study aims to explore the local wisdom of farmers in recognizing and handling early threats due to hazardous materials in agricultural areas. Method: The research design used was qualitative with an inductive content analysis approach with the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. The FGD was conducted using a semistructured question involving 2 FGD groups, each group consisting of 7 and 8 people with a background of food cropfarmers and horticultural cultivation in Lumajang Regency. Data were collected and analyzed using thematic analysis based on the Krueger, R. and Casey, M. Results : The research produced three themes, namely sharing information on sources of threats in agriculture, maintaining the tradition of farming, and utilizing the wealth of traditional medicine. Conclusion: Risk reduction due to hazardous materials in agricultural areas is more appropriate using a local wisdom-based approach. This approach will be able to produce appropriate technology products that are closer to the day-to-day experience of farmers so that they are easier to accept and apply.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of the simulation method in increasing the knowledge of nursing students in disaster preparedness. Method: The respondents were 55 nursing students. This research uses quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-post-test design to measure the level of knowledge of respondents using a questionnaire about disaster emergencies (pre-test). Respondent given intervention with simulation learning method about emergency disaster. They were re-measured using the same questionnaire (post-test). Result: Statistical test results using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed that the value of p = 0.0001 was smaller than 0.05. It can be concluded that learning activities using the simulation method can increase students ' knowledge in disaster emergencies . Conclusion: The simulation learning method and disaster emergency skills training can improve students' understanding and skills in natural disaster preparedness.

Abstract

Stroke is a neurological deficit that can decrease the function of the musculoskeletal. Mirror therapy, as a role in the use of visual optic illusion, gives the visual brain stimulation and can influence muscle growth in motor functions of extremes. The literature review is intended to determine the effectiveness of mirror therapy in patients' increased muscle strength. The methods used PRISMA checklist, and PICOS in alignment identified the criteria of inclusion. Data collection with six electronic databases: EBSCO, Springer, Pubmed, Science Direct, And Taylor&Francis. Found 1,278 articles, passed through 2016-2020. The report came to 1,270 with inclusions. Then, duplicated, there are 42 separate articles excommunicated. Screening on title and abstract totaling 942 articles out of context. Article number 268 instead of the full text. A total of 20 items could be reviewed. The result, effective mirror therapy is administered to all types of patients with hemiparasitic. Mirror therapy performed 15-60 minutes a day, frequency 3-5 days a week 2-12 weeks with a minimum muscle strength two, and ambulation between 3-5. Mirror therapy can also affect the patient's loss of limb pain.
