Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan kepemimpinan bidang ketrampilan Public Speaking, survival, Character Building, dan Community Buildingbagi kebidelan Seminari Menengah St. Paulus Palembang ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan kepemimpinan siswa Seminari khususnya pengurus organisasi kesiswaan (kebidelan) dalam Public Speaking, survival, Character Building, dan Community Building. Metode yang dipakai berupa metode mimbar dan praktek dalam kelompok. Kegiatan berlangsung selama 3 hari dengan format camping sehingga ketrampilan survival, Character Building dan Community Building langsung dapat dipraktikkan. Materi dasar manajemen kepemimpinan dan Public Speaking ditempatkan pada hari kedua demi mendukung proses pelatihan dan dilaksanakan secara teoritis dan praktis. Dari hasil kuesioner pelaksanaan kegiatan, didapatkan respon yang positif (56%) dari seluruh peserta kegiatan menunjukkan signifikansi peningkatan skil peserta dalam kemampuan Public Speaking dan leadership.Abstract: The purpose of leadership training activities in the fields of Public Speaking, survival, Character Building, and Community Building skills for Midnight Seminary St. Paulus Palembang is to improve the leadership ability of Seminary students, especially the management of student organizations (kebidelan) in Public Speaking, survival, Character Building, and Community Building. The method used in the form of the pulpit method and practice in groups. The activity lasts for 3 days in a camping format so that survival, Character Building and Community Building skills can be put into practice immediately. The basic materials of leadership management and Public Speaking are placed on the second day to support the training process and are carried out theoretically and practically. From the results of the activity implementation questionnaire, positive responses (56%) were obtained from all participants shown the significancy skills improve on Public Speaking and leadership

Abstract

Abstrak: Sekolah dan guru sebagai penyelenggara dan pengelola pendidikan memiliki peranan penting dalam proses belajar, terutama ketika terjadi peralihan dari metode pembelajaran daring menjadi tatap muka. Oleh karena itu, screening menjadi prioritas dalam upaya mencegah penularan dan terbentuknya kluster Covid-19 baru. Masalah yang dihadapi mitra adalah belum dilaksanakannya screening tersebut serta terminologi baru dalam kasus Covid-19. Sehingga, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan rapid test antigen dan pendidikan kesehatan bagi guru serta memberikan media informasi terkait Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan proses pemeriksaan rapid test antigen, penyuluhan, dan pemasangan media informasi. Hasil pengabdian didapatkan bahwa seluruh guru memiliki hasil rapid test antigen nonreaktif dan tingkat pengetahuan yang baik. Data evaluasi pengetahuan guru menunjukkan semua guru telah mengetahui virus penyebab Covid-19, meskipun yang menyebutkan secara spesifik sebanyak 20%. Seluruh guru mengetahui bahwa memegang benda yang telah disentuh orang lain juga termasuk cara penularan Covid-19 (100%). Demam (40%) dan anosmia (40%) menjadi gejala yang paling banyak dijawab oleh guru. Serta, cara pencegahannya dengan deteksi dini dengan Rapid test antigen (80%) dan Swab PCR test (20%), juga mencuci tangan dengan air mengalir dan sabun (100%). Abstract: School and teacher as education organizer and manager has important role in learning process, especially when there is transition from online to offline learning. Thus, screening would be priority in order to prevent transmission and new cluster of Covid-19. Partner’s problem was there has not been any screening and also new term for latest Covid-19. So, this services aimed to screening with antigen rapid test, health education, and information media for latest Covid-19 condition. The test showed that all teachers has non-reactive result and they knowledge about Covid-19 was overall good. Evaluastion data from teachers showed all teachers knew the virus caused Covid-19 with specifi answers as 20%. All teachers knew touching things which had been touched by others be ways to spread the virus (100%). Fever (40%) and anosmia (40%) as symptoms are the most answered. Then, ways to prevent with initial detection with antigen rapid test (80%) and PCR test swab (20%), and also washing hands with flowing water and soap (100%).

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian merupakan “jembatan” antara teori dan Praktik khususnya dalam keperawatan. Penelitian mengungkapkan hal-hal praktis dalam asuhan yang sehari-hari diberikan kepada pasien sebagai bentuk praktik yang berbasis bukti. Kebutuhan perawat klinis dalam tuntutan jenjang karir, pendidikan keperawatan berkelanjutan, dan standar nasional akreditasi rumah sakit mendorong perawat untuk membudayakan suasana ilmiah yang salah satunya dalam bentuk penelitian. Hal ini pun juga dialami oleh mitra, sehingga dibutuhkan pendampingan dalam bentuk pelatihan untuk merancang rencana penelitian keperawatan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan mitra dalam merancang penelitian. Metode dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kegiatan paparan materi, praktikum, dan presentasi proposal penelitian yang dilakukan selama tiga hari. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pretest terdapat 20 orang (71,4%) yang memiliki kategori pengetahuan kurang, 8 orang (28,6%) dengan kategori sedang. Sedangkan, hasil posttest terdapat 5 orang (17,9%) dengan kategori pengetahuan sedang dan 23 orang (82,1%) dengan kategori baik. Sehingga, terjadi peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan sebanyak 26 orang (96,43%) dan satu orang (3,57%) berada pada tingkat pengetahuan yang tetap. Abstract:  Research is a "bridge" between theory and practice, especially in nursing. Research reveals practical things in care that are provided daily to patients as a form of evidence-based practice. The need for clinical nurses in the demands of career level, ongoing nursing education, and national standards of hospital accreditation encourages nurses to cultivate a scientific atmosphere culture, which one of it is research. This is also experienced by partners, so it requires assistance in the form of training to design a nursing research plan. The solutions offered are carried out in the form of material exposure activities, practicum, and presentation of research proposals conducted for three days. The results showed that the pre-test results were 20 persons (71.4%) who have less knowledge category, 8 persons (28.6%) with medium category. Meanwhile, post-test result there are 5 persons (17.9%) with medium knowledge category and 23 persons (82.1%), with medium category. Thus, there are increasing knowledge as 26 persons (96.43%) and one of them not change (3.57%).

Abstract

The risk of falling is easily exsperienced by the elderly. One of the factors that affect the risk of falling in theelderly is a musculoskeletal system disorder such as a walking disorder due to muscle weakness and jointstiffness. Elderly who live in nursing homes are more likely to fall than those who live at home with theirfamily. This isi because the elderly who live in nursing homes tend to be more independent in carrying out theirdaily activities. The impact of the fall on the elderly is resulting in various types of injurien, physical andpsychological damage. This study aimed at determining the correlation between the level of independence andthe tisk of falling in the elderly. This study used analytic survey with the cross-sectional design. The populationof this study was all elderly at Darma Bhakti Nursing Home KM. 7 Palembang. 31 respondents were selectedas samples of this study by using the total sampling technique. The data collection instruments wereobservation sheets and questionnaires. The data collection instrumens were observation sheets andquestionnaires. The data were analyzed by using the Kendall Tau test.The results revealed that the majority ofrespondents (71.0%) were> 70 years old, the majority of sexes were women (74.2 %), the majority of the levelsof independence were dependence (51.6%), and the majority of the risk of falling was high with 22 respondents(71.0%). The Kendall Tau Test result showed there was a significant correlation between the level ofindependence and risk of falling (r = 0.504; p-value = 0.005). Conclusion: there is a retionship between thelevel of independence with the risk of falling in the elderly at the nursing home darma bhakti km 7 Palembang.from those result, it was expected that the board of directors should pay more attention to the programs thathad been implemented and improve the falling risk prevention education to anticipate recurring falling in theelderly.

Abstract

Families of patients who are in the hospital have an important role in preventing nosocomialinfections by increasing the knowledge and attitude of hand washing in hospitals by increasingtheir knowledge and attitude of eating will also increase the ability to wash hands. However, theimplementation of hand washing in the patient's family has not run optimally due to variousreasons. The patient's family said that they did not know how to wash their hands properly andsome said that they did not wash their hands because the patient's disease was not contagious.this study aims to determine the relationship of hand washing education to knowledge, attitudesand abilities of family members in the X Palembang Hospital.Method: This research is aquantitative type of research using quasi experimental with a Non Equavalent Control Group planand a sample of 112 respondents used purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniqueused is the Fisher Exact.The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between handwashing education to the knowledge, attitudes, ability, of the families of patients at X PalembangHospital (p value= 0.001<0.005), For this reason, the role of nurses as educators is needed,providing counseling to families of patients treated at Hospital so that nosocomial infections canbe prevented.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that usually occurs in adults. Prevention of complications of diabetes mellitus can be done with several management which includes nutritional management, educational exercise and pharmacological therapy. In addition, factors that can support the prevention of complications include social support, family support and self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship of social support, family and efficacy on the prevention of complications in diabetes mellitus sufferers at Palembang Health Center. This research is a quantitative study with an analytic survey design using a cross sectional design. The number of samples in this study were 46 respondents using the Kendall Tau statistical test. The results of the analysis using the Kendall Tau test showed that there was no relationship between social support and the prevention of complications with a value of p = 0.735. Then also found that there was no relationship between family support and prevention of complications of diabetes mellitus with a value of p = 0.76. While the results of the correlation test for the relationship between the efficacy of the prevention of complications of diabetes mellitus were also obtained p value = 0.323. From the results that have been obtained, it is expected that people with diabetes mellitus can prevent complications properly. In preventing complications in diabetes mellitus, it is hoped that it can involve families and people in the surrounding environment, so as to prevent complications maximally
