Abstract

Dayak society defines the woven fabric is one of the results of the culture of Dayak communities. Expertise in a woven inherited hereditary through informal learning. At the end of the year 1980-90s it was already difficult to found caused lots of fabric already bought traded with foreigners and artisans weaving is also difficult to be found. The times affects the public to privately thought using the woven are considered antiquated and outdated. This is certainly very apprehensive when all results culture became locally extinct or even disappear, because it is not awake nor undertakes with properly. Therefore, the results of these Dayak weaving can be maintained and preserved, in order to be seen more to appreciate the culture and maintaining preserved by giving proper containers and in accordance with the needs that are equipped with supporting facilities activities It's like a gallery. The research method used through field survey, documentation, and analysis of typical schemes (ornament) in weaving itself as spots, threads ornament woven fabric , stop at doyo iban, and kai pagatan at weaving. The results of this research describes how the application thread orrnament spots that is focused towards the motives of the stalks crisp can be applied in the architecture of High Technology by adopting characteristics of High Technology Architecture, such as structure, materials, colors, System technology in buildings, and the ornament motif which applicated on technology system (Kinetic Facade). This research also can confirm that Dayak Ikat Gallery can be used as inspiration and applied to the design of the building technology of the present.Keywords: Architecture, Central Borneo, Dayak, Ornament, The Architecture Of High Technology.

Abstract

This study examines the influence addition of sugar cane’s ash as a cement substitution material in concrete mixtures to the compressive strength, porosity and concrete shrinkage. Sugarcane ash used in this study came from Lawang, Matur, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The percentage of sugarcane ash used as substitute material was 0%, 2.5% and 5% from the weight of cement. For the specimen containing 2,5% of sugar cane’s ash, the concrete compressive strength at 28 days was 29.61 Mpa, followed by sugar cane’s ash 5% was 28,86 MPa. Lowest compressive strength occurs in normal concrete of 28,44 MPa. In porosity test of the concrete the lowest value occurred in 2.5% sugarcane ash with a value of 9.71% at the age of 28 days, followed by sugar cane’s ash concrete porosity 5% was 11,73%. The largest porosity value occurs in normal concrete of 11,92%. The value of this porosity shows that the use of sugarcane ash at a percentage of 2.5% can increase the compressive strength of concrete. In concrete shrinkage testing, the results of the direct measurement test obtained the highest shrinkage value in normal concrete of 53 μm. The lowest shrinkage occurs in sugar cane’s ash concrete 5% was 45 μm, and sugar cane’s ash 2,5% of 50 μm.Keywords: sugarcane ash, compressive strength, porosity, concrete shrinkage

Abstract

The phenomenon of forest fires in Riau resulted in a smoke disaster that became the main problem every year. Uncontrolled forest fires are air pollutants that can interfere with daily activities and are also harmful to respiratory health. As a result, many of Riau residents are experiencing respiratory health problems caused by the smoke disaster, especially in Pekanbaru. Therefore, it is necessary to present a special health facility to treat lung abnormalities, namely Lung Hospital in Pekanbaru. Successful healing of lung disease depends on a natural, healthy, clean, and pollution-free environment. Thus, the Hi-Tech design approach was chosen to be able to engineer the environment to keep the air clean and pollution-free in the event of a smoke disaster. The application of technology to the building focuses on natural air-conditioning systems in the hospital environment as a healing medium for patients. This building is expected to help the healing process of the patient so that the concept applied is Hospital, Healthy House. This concept is transformed into a healthy zoning, healthy space, healthy accessibility, and a healthy facade. Abstract

Office is one of fundamental basic when starting a company. But, due to its high cost of building a new office, many consider to rent, wether its a small space, or even a whole building. In adeveloping city like Pekanbaru, to build a new building must follow the aspect of sustainable design, such as to consider building a high-rise instead of a multi-storey building. Talk about ahigh-rise building, expecially one designed for office, the use of electricity is inevitably high. For example, the use for lighting, cooling system, and the use of all other office equipment (computer, fotocopy machine, etc) which is very active during the worktime. But, there’s actually a solution to this, as office mostly active during the day. And that is the very reason to consider the use of infinite source of energy during the day, the daylight itself. The designing of natural lighting strategy basedon the elements of : building orientation, toplighting, sidelighting, and shading system. Abstract

Pekanbaru is the capital of Riau Province which became the center of industry and trade activity in Riau Province. However, Pekanbaru City currently does not yet have an appropriate facility to accommodate and manage the ever-increasing trade activities. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design Pekanbaru Trade Center needed by Pekanbaru City to accommodate trading activities with facilities such as convention, exibition and retail, to facilitate and develop trade activities in Pekanbaru city. Research methods used through field survey, literature review, and analysis of Trade Center building. Pekanbaru Trade Center is designed with futuristic architectural themes emphasized on mass form with futuristic architectural features that are future-oriented concept and deconstruction shape. The concept used is mobility with the notion of easy to move or move. The result of this research shows that the Trade Center design applies futuristic theme on the shape and facade of the building by taking the form that is not constant like the use of circle pattern and curve for dynamic and flexible impression.Keywords: Architecture, Trade Center, Pekanbaru, Futuristic

Abstract

In construction work certain conditions where forced by a concrete structure must be moulded directly in water into consideration for casting on location. The condition of casting work in water does not only occur in environments where there is normal water but also in environments that have sludge levels. The use of Tripolyphosphate Sodium is expected to be able to become a mixture in casting concrete in water without conventional compaction so that the concrete mixture is able to flow and solid itself properly. This study examines the effect of Sodium Tripolyphosphate as a constituent in concrete mixes on the mechanical properties of concrete including compressive strength and tensile strength in casting in water, especially in muddy water environments. The study was conducted experimentally with a cement water factor value of 0.37, a percentage of Sodium Tripolyphosphate 10% by weight of cement and a percentage of rock ash 15% by weight of fine aggregate. Concrete compressive strength test was carried out on 6 cylinders 28 days old with a diameter of 10 cm x height 20 cm and for tensile tensile strength testing was also carried out on 6 cylinders 28 days old with a diameter of 15cm x height 30 cm. Based on the results of the compressive strength test of concrete at 28 days, the average compressive strength of concrete for direct castings in normal water is 12,14 MPa, while for the average compressive strength for concrete casted directly in muddy water is 9,49 MPa. So that the compressive strength of concrete, which is cast directly in muddy water has decreased compressive strength by 21.82% of concrete in normal water. For the results of the average split tensile strength of 28 days old concrete, obtained in concrete that is cast directly in ordinary water conditions is 1.37 MPa, while for the average split tensile strength in concrete by direct casting in water conditions muddy at 1.11 MPa. Abstract

Pekanbaru as the capital of Riau province has potential in the development of economy and tourism industry. Economic development leads to new discoveries, exchanges and dissemination of information, resulting in universal meeting activities such as seminars, conventions and exhibitions. Convention Center is a building to conduct convention and exhibition activities with a large capacity. The Convention Center is designed with Malay architectural approach, this is because malay people always gathering and meeting on the building called the balai house. One of the balai houses in Pekanbaru which became the custom house of Riau province is Selaso Jatuh Kembar. By using Malay architecture as a design approach, then come the concept of Harmony Social which means harmony on the sociality. Harmony Social is the harmony of social character / socialization with the house of Selaso Jatuh Kembar. The concept is applied by transforming the Selaso Jatuh Kembar house. Abstract

Modern dance is currently very popular in Pekanbaru city because modern dance identical with everything that is new and not difficult to learn, this is proven by many modern dance communities in Pekanbaru city. From year to year the modern dance community in Pekanbaru cityis increasing, along with many large annual events held in Pekanbaru city. The method in this design is to use the metaphor Architecture approach by applying all its characteristics. The conceptthat used is arm wave, obtained from one of the modern dance movements. Abstract

The strategic location of Indonesia's seas makes potential of marine in Indonesia very high, if this is not accompanied by education about the processing of marine products, eventually it can cause a reduction in marine products from Indonesia. Therefore, a facility is needed to provide information about it which is still recreational. But the rarity of these facilities make the design of the Oceanarium necessary to keep preservation of Indonesia’s sea. Bintan is the right location for this design because the potential of the marine owned is quite high, besides that the tourism sector is also the flagship of Bintan island. So that Bintan can be deserved to be used as the design location. Oceanarium is a facility of recreational education and conservation in the form of a giant marine aquarium located on the edge of the sea. The metaphor’s architectural approach is very suitable with this design of the Oceanarium, because of the nature of the metaphoric architecture which can take the form of certain references so that can describe the function of the Oceanarium from the outside appearance of the building. The research method used includes field data collection and literature study. From the data obtained then it is processed by considering principles of metaphorical architecture. The results of this study design buildings with the concept of "coral reef" which can describe the natural ecosystem of marine biota to be an artificial marine ecosystem in the form of Oceanarium mass formation. Abstract

Football is the most wanted sport in Indonesia especially for the male population. But, lack of football prestation in the International cauldron not proven a great satisfaction, so it need an practice place for young atlete and teenager. Football school is one of another choice that can make a change football prestation to be high gradiance in international cauldron. With this football existance expected can build an efective facility and room for the user and visitor, so this football school design plan can prove the incridible spirit to the young generation who love Indonesia football. In this football school design,Approach structure as aestethic that applied in the design, such as: (1) Ornament Structure; (2) Structure as Ornament; (3) Structure as Arcitecture; (4) Structure as former producer; (5) Denial Structure. Tikitaka and Crossing concept was choosen to solve every problem occur during the Football school in Pekanbaru processed. This concept was applied in every single arcitectural aspect in Football school design in Pekanbaru, such as: composision mass, mass former, then building faced. Simple reguler mass, former mass and building faced is the application goal from analogy concept, former football strathegy “tikitaka” and “crossing”.
