Abstract

Electrical energy is a primary need at this time, which almost all human activities require electricity. The electrical energy we use today is a conversion from other energy, partly derived from fossil energy, which is energy that cannot be renewed and will run out if it is continuously explored and exploited. Solar energy is a renewable energy source that has the potential to be converted to electrical energy using solar panels or so-called photovoltaics. Photovoltaic has a drawback in its use, namely the output value is very dependent on environmental conditions. To maximize the power efficiency between the photovoltaic output and the power to be used by the load, a method is needed, namely Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). In the application of this MPPT DC-DC Zeta converter is used with a hill climbing algorithm to achieve the value of the output voltage and current at maximum power. With this method, it is expected that MPPT control is reliable and easy to apply. In this study, the type of photovoltaic module used is the 60 Wp monocrystalline type with sampling data once an hour from 09.00 - 17.00 WITA, the tracking speed data obtained by the modified hill climbing algorithm is 0.142 seconds on average with an average efficiency of 99.969 %.

Abstract

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education is one of the Faculties that has the most buildings in Tadulako University, which of course requires large capacity electrical equipment facilities and also requires large electric power as well. To provide optimal services so that lecture, practicum and other activities are not disrupted due to electrical problems. Electricity problems at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education are currently caused by excessive loading that is not adjusted to the transformer capacity at the Economic Substation, The distance that is served by the Economic Substation is approximately 950 meters so that it causes losses on the network. Based on the calculation of the total load obtained for lighting, room conditioning and auxiliary contact boxes of 167,402 kVA and considering the addition of Loads and Buildings within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the transformer capacity used is 200 kVA and according to SPLN Transformers with capacities below 200 kVA must use Portal substation construction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of energy use and savings opportunities that can be obtained from a room based on IKE value. The intensity of energy consumption (IKE) is a term that used to determine levels of energy consumption in a building. IKE value is calculated based on the number of electric power used by all existing electrical equipment in a room and then divided by the area of the room. To find out how much energy usage level of a room or a building IKE value calculations and compared with the standard IKE value. IKE value will determine the criteria of a room using electricity in this category can be wasteful or not in use electrical energy. When the results were equal to or less than the target IKE, the energy audit activities can be stopped or continued with the hope that IKE values obtained Lower again. The results showed that of the 708 rooms have been evaluated including 136 belonging to wasteful use of electricity, with the savings opportunities that can be done as much as Rp 17.686.222 per month

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the replacement of lighting (fluorescent or TL lamps, incandescent) with energy efficient lighting towards payment of electricity accounts Untad which has now reached an average of Rp 79,676,246 per month. Data on the number and type of lighting used in this study, obtained from the equipment Untad. From the existing datais known that fluorescent lamps 40 watts of power still dominates its use when compared with energy-saving lamps.Spread usage of these lights in the room numbering approximately 708 rooms in Untad environment. The calculation ofsavings done by looking at the difference in cost between the energy-saving lamps with other lamps for 12,000 hours oflighting the flame. Results showed that by replacing all fluorescent lamps (TL lamps), incandescent bulbs with energy-efficientlighting can reduce electricity Untad payment of Rp 4,396,015 per month or as much as Rp 52,752,180 per year. If adjusted to the age of the lamp will be a savings of USD 253,650,065 while the investment cost of energy saving light bulbs should be issued to replace the entire lamp is only about USD 144.75 million.

Abstract

The problem of the society when it will require new electrical connection to PLN especially household bill level is the ignorance on the procedure and cost which have to be paid so that it asks helping to the brokers. This paper describes about how tocalculate cost of new connection installing which must be paid to PLN based on Kepmen ESDM No : 07 Tahun 2010, cost ofelectrical installation based on the amount of the power required, and how to calculate cost of usage based on new base rate 2010.

Abstract

Electrical energy has a very important role in the economic, industrial and social development of the community, this causes an increase in the demand for electrical energy in line with the increase in people's welfare, economic and industrial growth. On the other side, energy sources that are commonly used for power generation are increasingly expensive and limited in availability and cause environmental pollution. Based on these considerations, it is necessary to implement an energy management program to preserve energy resources and use energy effectively. Energy consumption intensity (ECI) is a term used to determine the amount of electrical energy consumption in a room. The calculation of the intensity of energy consumption carried out at the Tojo Una-una regent's office in Central Sulawesi consists of 3 buildings with 129 rooms, it was found that 7 rooms were categorized as quite efficient and wasteful.

Abstract

Currently, the energy we use is still using fossil energy. In the future, the need for energy will increase because every year there is a large population growth. If you still use fossil energy and don’t find new energy alternatives, then Indonesia will experience a severe energy crisis and certain places will experience blackouts. One of the efforts so that the wind energy crisis can be minimized is to utilize natural energy that has the potensial to generate energy such as the Wind Power Plant. In this study, planning and simulation of Wind Power Plant were carried out to help reduce the use of fossil energy and help the needs of the community in the Talise Beach area. From the results of the study that the average output of wind turbine production is 1,180/hour winh a maximum production of wind turbines per day of 5,665 kW and the construction system cost (NPC) of Rp. 91,340,660,000. Electrical energy that can be generated from wind turbines by utilizing an area of about 42,021.67 m2 is 10,332,498 kWh/year with a total unfulfilled power of 1,416 kW/year. Lack of power or unmet load can be overcome by the existence of a grid/network.

Abstract

The predictive torque control (PTC) technique of electric motor drive is based on the principle that the determined optimum voltage vector will be applied to the motor in the next cycle. If a three-phase inverter is used, this inverter can only realize eight different switching states. One of the eight switching states is used as the optimum inverter switching state for the next cycle. PTC with one-step prediction cannot obtain an experimental motor speed control, because in the real-time implementation, there is a single sampling delay between input and optimal actuation due to a large number of real time calculations. The delay time problem could be solved by modifying the optimization steps by using the two-step prediction of PTC model. The experimental results show that the motor can follow the reference speed and command torque in the step response and variable speed experiments. In variable speed experiment, good speed and torque dynamics can be achieved by selecting the proportional gain value that corresponds to the motor speed
