Abstract

The aim of this study was analyzing the demographic profile and its influence on investor’s investment decisions on the business of people’s cattle farm through benefit sharing system. The research was the survey method and data obtained from questionnaires by investors in cattle farming through benefit sharing system in West Sumatera. The method of data analysis was a multiple regression method with a variable dummy. The results of the study showed that the investors were from different age and sex. There were respondents who were young to old and the total numbers of woman and man were almost the same. Most of them are an entrepreneur and there are only a few of them who are civil servants or private sector worker. Their education starts from elementary school to college, but most of them are elementary school graduates. Education is crucial in investment decisions rather than gender, age, and occupation. These categories do not significantly affect investment decisions in benefit sharing system of beef farmers in West Sumatera.

Abstract

Science and technology for the community have been applied at the Milk House Cafe located on Kiayi Kamarulloh Street, Bukik Surungan, Padang Panjang city. Along with the development of the business, this dairy café has experienced problems in formulating strategies in business development and increasing sales.One solution is the Management Information System (SIM) approach. The SIM application is conducted so that the partner's business data is complete and accurate and is available at all times. The solution to improving marketing is to make the design of the service drive simple but attractive. Orders are ordered and services are provided through a special window, while consumers remain in their vehicles. The method of implementing this program is the demonstration method. The results of program implementation are SIM applications with complete and accurate partner business data and are available at all times. SIM can provide information to support the decision-making process that the manager will take, allowing decisions to be taken faster and precisely. Processing transactions in SIM allows managers to easily supervise company assets, monitor business developments and provide reports to stakeholders. The solution to improving marketing is to make the design of the service drive simple but attractive. Orders are ordered and services are provided through a special window, while consumers remain in their vehicles. The purpose of the drive thru is to facilitate consumers who want to get products quickly but are reluctant to get off their vehicles (cars / motorbikes). This drive thru service can save consumers time to enjoy fast food. Through this service consumers stop by, can then leave within 3 minutes.

Abstract

Kegiatan telah dilakukan di kampung Sungkai kelurahan Lambung Bukit Kecamatan Pauh Kota Padang. Sejak dahulu, peternak di kampung Sungkai telah memanfaatkan kotoran ternak untuk memupuk tanaman pertanian. Namun pemakaian kotoran ternak secara langsung tanpa diproses lebih dahulu dapat membahayakan tanaman, ternak, bahkan manusia. Tingginya kesadaran masyarakat sekarang ini akan penggunaan pupuk organik untuk mengatasi kerusakan tanah akibat penggunaan pupuk kimia merangsang permintaan akan pupuk organik semakin meningkat. Oleh itu, kami melakukan pendampingan kepada kelompok ternak Sungkai Permai untuk membuka usaha pupuk organik. Ini merupakan peluang usaha bagi peternak rakyat Kampung Sungkai untuk meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga mereka. Metode pendekatan yang ditawarkan adalah metode penyuluhan dan metode demontrasi pembuatan pupuk organik serta metode pendampingan dalam proses produksi, packing dan pemasaran. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program adalah masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembuatan pupuk organik dan manajemen teknis beternak sapi potong secara intensif. Peternak telah memulai menghasilkan produk pupuk organik yang siap untuk dipasarkan. Peternak memperoleh design merek dari produk pupuk organik mereka.

Abstract

Plastic waste gets special attention to deal with it, but the largest waste in the final disposal site is organic waste, about 60% dominates the amount of existing waste. Organic waste if processed and used for daily life can actually provide additional income if taken seriously. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills for female partner organization partners, especially from students who live in West Sumatra, about zero waste so that it can process organic waste into several products that are useful and have economic value on a household scale. The activity methods were directives, counseling/awareness/socialization, training, mentoring and business consulting. The stages of implementation were 1) planning the right activities according to the needs of partners, 2) mentoring webinars, 3) evaluation. Based on the activity that have been carried out, it could be concluded that 1) Partners need assistants to solve the waste problem in Partner households, 2) The zero waste mentoring webinar activity had been carried out online using the zoom application, which was attended by more than 108 the participants who came from students and the public were enthusiastically by three presenters as well as reliable practitioners in their respective fields with the topics of eco enzymes, indigenous microorganisms (IMO), waste - maggot - compost. 3) Participants were very impressed with the zero waste webinar and asked to be followed up on other webinars. 4) The eco enzyme, MOL and compost training activities would be held offline and a visit to Minagot.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan model sistem dinamis ketersediaan daging sapi di Provinsi Sumatera Barat dan mensimulasikan ketersediaan daging sapi di Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada 10 Tahun kedepan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskstudy, dimana data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa data statistik dari Badan Pusat Statistik, Dinas Peternakan Provinsi Sumatera Barat, dan Direktoral Jendral Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan 4 tahapan yaitu merancang diagram causal loop (sebab-akibat), memformulasikan model sistem dinamis, melakukan uji validasi terhadap model yang telah dibuat, dan melakukan simulasi ketersediaan daging sapi melalui formulasi model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : a) formulasi model ketersediaan daging sapi di Sumatera Barat terdiri atas 2 subsistem dan telah mampu mempresentasikan sistem ketersediaan daging sapi potong secara nyata. Pertama, subsistem penyediaan daging sapi potong yang memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 0.0%. Subsistem ini mencakup produksi daging sapi, populasi sapi potong, pemotongan sapi, kelahiran sapi, kematian sapi, penambahan sapi potong, pengeluaran sapi potong, penambahan daging sapi, dan pengeluaran daging sapi. Kedua, subsistem kebutuhan daging sapi yang memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 0.01%. Subsistem kebutuhan ini mencakup jumlah penduduk dan konsumsi daging sapi (Konsumsi rumah tangga, konsumsi industri olahan, dan konsumsi luar provinsi). b) simulasi pada model sistem dinamis ketersediaan daging sapi potong untuk 10 Tahun kedepan dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi pada tiga skenario. Dimana, hasil dari skenario 3 menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan daging sapi di Sumatera Barat sudah mulai tercukupi dari tahun 2028-2031. Tercukupinya kebutuhan daging sapi di Sumatera Barat ini tercukupi apabila dilakukannya empat kebijakan yang terdiri dari : peningkatan kelahiran sebesar 0,2% per tahun, menekan kematian sapi sebesar 0,01% per tahun , meningkatkan pemotongan sebesar 0,3% per tahun, dan menambahkan populasi sapi sebanyak 40.000 ekor per tahunnya. Abstract

Harga merupakan unsur penting bagi produsen dan bagi konsumen. Harga dari ayam broiler juga menentukan tingkat kerugian dan keuntungan yang dapat diperoleh pengusaha atau peternak ayam broiler itu sendiri. Harga yang fluktuatif tentu akan menyulitkan prediksi terhadap suatu usaha. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pola harga dan  trend  projection input dan output ayam broiler di Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini dianalisis harga pakan, DOC, dan ayam broiler dari tahun 2017 hingga 2021 untuk dapat menghasilkan pola harga dan memprediksi kecendrungan harga tersebut lima tahun kedepan. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pola harga pakan, harga DOC dan harga ayam broiler di Indonesia lima tahun terakhir  cenderung mengalami kenaikan. Hal yang sama juga diprediksi berlaku kecendrungan kenaikan harga lima tahun kedepan. Oleh karena itu  perlu adanya kebijakan yang dapat menjaga kestabilan harga input dan output ayam broiler sehingga dapat melindungi produsen dan konsumen ayam broiler di Indonesia. Abstract

The broiler industry condition nationally is facing an obstacle. It is often appearance an increase in production input cost, at the same time, it is also happened a decrease in the price of livebird as production output. This research purpose is, to analyzes factors what influence the broiler price fluctuations in Indonesia. Data  processed in this research is a secondary data from Indonesian Statistics Agency. The used analysis is a panel data regression to know about the effects of feed and  day old chicken (DOC) prices, the demand and supply on the broiler chickens. Data were collected from the time series data and cross section data, namely for five years each provinces. The data were collected from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The research result is found that the feed price, the Doc price and the broiler supply get significant effect on the broiler price. So the broiler demand no effected in the broiler chicken prices.

Abstract

This activity is conducted with cattle farmers in Nagari Sariak Laweh, Akabiluru District, Fifty Kota Regency. Based on the preliminary survey in Nagari Sariak Laweh, most cattle farmers engage in farming as a side business, alongside growing food crops. Until now, knowledge about efficient and productive livestock management among the group members remains low. Rice straw has not been utilized as feed, and farmers struggle to obtain fresh forage and afford the relatively expensive concentrate feed. Farmers also face challenges acquiring fertilizers due to the high cost of synthetic fertilizers. Therefore, the goal of this activity is to enhance the skills and knowledge of cattle farmers in the Akabiluru district regarding beef cattle management, aiming to increase the productivity of the raised beef cattle. The method of delivering the material is carried out to equip participants with good beef cattle management practices, the utilization of straw, and the use of cattle manure. The results of this activity include cattle farmers gaining an understanding and proficiency in beef cattle management. Additionally, farmers are trained to produce fermented feed and organic fertilizer. As evidence of success, participants, with the guidance of the resource persons, successfully produced 55 kg of fermented straw, 55 kg of silage, and 17 kg of organic fertilizer made from cattle manure.

Abstract

Community service was conducted at the Balai Gadang Sapan livestock group in the Rambatan sub-district, Tanah Datar district. This group's businesses are beef cattle breeding and organic fertilizer processing. The problem with group businesses is that management and business knowledge still need to be higher. Group members still need help to apply management and business principles in managing the business. This community engagement aims to develop the Balai Gadang Sapan group business by increasing the performance and productivity of the beef cattle breeding and organic fertilizer processing business (UPPO) through implementing management aspects in the group business. The methods for carrying out activities were lectures, discussions, mentoring, and demonstrations. The stage carried out in implementing those four methods was the preparation stage, namely preparing material related to completing the solution in the form of PowerPoint, modules, banners, and leaflets. At the implementation stage, modules were distributed to participants, and the material was later. The evaluation stage involved participants filling out a prepared questionnaire. This evaluation was carried out to determine the group's ability to implement management aspects. The results of this activity were five essential aspects that must be applied in group management: making plans consisting of learning and business planning, organizing, and carrying out activities, evaluating business activities, and cadre of management. The group's ability to apply management aspects can be improved at the intermediate and primary levels.

Abstract

Effective communication is the backbone of all human interactions, especially in service contexts like libraries. This article explores how good and effective communication improves library services, focusing on a case study at the Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo Library. Through qualitative descriptive research methods that include observation, interviews, and documentation, the results show the crucial role of effective communication in improving service standards at the Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo Library, considering theories, especially Diniaty's approach, namely the importance of communication in changing user attitudes and behavior. Good communication between librarians and users, especially in rule enforcement, significantly improves compliance with regulations. Apart from that, the dedication of librarians to providing optimal service solutions, in line with the Wijayanti concept, is further strengthened by effective communication in managing services in the library. Recommendations for improving service quality include expanding efforts to strengthen effective communication among all library stakeholders through training and developing communication skills for staff, which is expected to create a better communication environment and, in turn, improve user experience in using library services.
