Abstract

This study aims to identify the internal and external environment of agro-shrimp crackers and formulate strategies to develop these agro-industry in  Plosobuden Village, Deket District, Lamongan Regency.The basic method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and carried out with a case study. The analysis used was the marketing environment analysis, the SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors for the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, the IFE and EFE Matrix and the SWOT matrix to formulate an alternative strategy in business development. Based on research result shows that the main internal strengths which is owned by agro-shrimp crackers entrepreneur is selling at an affordable price. While its main weaknesses is the lack of promotion. The main opportunities in the agro-shrimp cracker development is still has an extensive market share. While the main threats is unfavorable weather in the shrimp cracker business. Alternative strategies can be applied in developing agro-industry is raising the shrimp crackers production to take the opportunities of technological advancement for food security standards, promoting to attract potential customers in anticipating the new competitors to improve the image of the product, making business licenses and increasing the products diversification through products and services policy dealing with new competitors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of consumers who buy imported apples and analyze the attributes of consumer preferences in buying imported apples.  The study was conducted at the Hokky fruit shop  and the Ampel traditional market  in Surabaya. Data analysis was done with descriptive  and conjoint methods. The analysis showed that the attributes that a consumer preference in buying apple imports in order are  the price, color, texture, size and packaging.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini  adalah mengidentifikasi proses keputusan pembelian  dan menganalisis atribut yang dipertimbangkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Sampel diambil  dengan metode Cluster Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan metode diskriptif kualitatif dan konjoin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses keputusan pembelian mi terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, proses pembelian, dan perilaku pasca pembelian. Sedangkan kombinasi atribut yang diinginkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan secara berurutan adalah kemasan plastik, harga Rp. 1.750, bentuk  bulat, bentuk kemasan kotak, rasa gurih, berukuran  100 gr, dan berwarna kuning.Kata Kunci : Preferensi Konsumen, Mi Instan, Konjoin ABSTRACTThe Goals of this research are to identify the process of purchasing decision and analyze the attribute which is considered by consumer in purchasing instant noodle. The Samples are taken with cluster sampling method. The data are analyzed with the qualitative descriptive and conjoint methods. The result shows that the process of noodle purchasing decision consists  several stage. They are the need introduction, the information seach,  the purchasing process, and the behavior after purchasing. While the attribute combination which is wanted by consumer in instant noodle purchasing are the plastic packaging, the price approximately Rp. 1,750, the rounded shape, the square packaging shape, the savory flavor, the size approximately 100 gram, and the yellow color.Keywords : Consumer preference, noodle instant, conjoint

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi teknis, efisiensi alokatif, efisiensi ekonomis usahatani jagung hibrida dan sumber inefisiensinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tanah Merah Kecamatan Saronggih Kabupaten Sumenep. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik insidential sampling. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan fungsi produksi stochastic frontier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata petani belum efisien secara teknis, alokatif dan ekonomi. Sementara penyebab inefisiensi teknis disebabkan pendidikan dan pengalaman.Kata Kunci: produktivitas, efisiensi, sumber inefisiensi

Abstract

ABSTRAKAtribut sebuah produk dapat menjadi pertimbangan konsumen dalam membeli sebuah produk. Preferensi konsumen dalam membeli rengginang lorjuk dipengaruhi oleh beberapa atribut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan karakteristik konsumen dan menganalisis atribut-atribut yang menjadi pertimbangan konsumen dalam membeli rengginang lorjuk. Penelitian ini dilakukan di daerah Kamal. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode accidental sampling sedangkan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskripitif kualitatif dan konjoin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut yang paling dipertimbangkan konsumen dalam membeli rengginang lorjuk adalah bentuk, harga, berat isi kemasan, jenis dan kemasan.Kata Kunci: Rengginang Lorjuk, Atribut, Konjoin.ABSTRACTAttribute of product can be used as consideration of consumer in buying product. Consumer preference in buying rengginang lorjuk is affected by several attributes. Objective of this research is to describe characteristic of consumer and to analyze attributes being considered by consumer in buying rengginang lorjuk. This research was conducted in Kamal. Sample was taken by using method of accidental sampling meanwhile method of data analysis used descriptive qualitative and conjoint. Abstract

The goals of this study are to analyze variables which determined production, risk production and technical inefficiency on Tobacco farming in Pamekasan. Frontier production function model with heteroskedastic error structure estimated by Maximum Likelihood estimation developed by Kumbhakar is adopted to analyze the goals. The results show that farmers allocate inputs under optimal condition. The Consequences are productivity and efficiency at low level.

Abstract

Plantation is one of sub sector in agriculture with strategic role and contribution in the Indonesian economic. One of those commodities is cashew nuts. This research aimed to analyze competitiveness of cashew nuts in the international market, to identify factors affecting cashew nuts competitiveness, and to formulate strategy in enhancing cashew nuts competitiveness. The research method used was RCA, ISP, ECI and SWOT. Research result showed that RCA value showed that Indonesian cashew nuts is comparative disadvantage, but Indonesia is as exporter by seeing ISP value, and market share of Indonesian cashew nuts based on ECI value. However Indonesia tends to be exporter country and have good market share. Strategy of export competitiveness on cashew nuts can be applied by extending trade cooperation by joining and taking active role in the world trade organization, increasing cashew nuts productivity and socialization of information about international market of cashew nuts about international market of cashew nuts, exporting procedures, cashew nuts export, import policies, and other rules related to transaction of cashew nuts export-import to all stakeholders.

Abstract

Corn as a food crop was grown by a lot of farmers in Madura Island. Madura farmers planted two kinds of corn varieties, namely local and hybrid. The main problem in corn farming on this island was its lower average yield than in other East Java regions. One of the main reasons for this low productivity was farming risk faced by farmers.  This study aimed to identify risky behavior and design risk reduction by using Kountur model.  Data were collected from 120 corn farmers that were chosen to represent corn farming conditions in Madura. The method of analysis used descriptive quantitative by using the Likert scale and contour risk model. The model categorized risk sources based on the opportunities and its impacts. This mapping result was used as a base for designing a strategy to reduce risk. The results showed that the behavior of both local and hybrid corn farmers was categorized mostly (around 80%) as risk-neutral and the rest as risk lovers. The Kountur analysis showed that the sources of risk with high opportunities and its impacts were corn price fluctuation, input price increase, pest and plant disease attacks, and labor force availability. This research suggests that risk reduction can be made by strengthening farmers’ bargaining position, improving the management of tradable input stock, applying integrated pest and disease management (IPM), and revitalizing “gotong royong” working system. AbstrakJagung merupakan tanaman pangan yang banyak diusahakan oleh petani di Pulau Madura. Petani di Pulau Madura menanam jagung varietas lokal dan hibrida. Masalah utama dalam usaha tani jagung di wilayah ini adalah  capaian rata-rata produktivitas jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan daerah lain di Jawa Timur. Salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya produktivitas adalah tingginya risiko berusaha tani yang dihadapi petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perilaku risiko dan mendesain pengurangan risiko dengan menggunakan Model Kountur. Data dikumpulkan dari 120 petani jagung yang dipilih untuk mewakili gambaran usaha tani jagung di Madura. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah diskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala Likert dan model risiko Kountur. Model ini mengelompokkan sumber-sumber risiko berdasarkan peluang dan dampaknya.  Hasil pemetaan digunakan sebagai dasar untuk mendesain strategi reduksi risiko.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kedua kelompok petani jagung lokal dan jagung hibrida sama, yaitu sebagian besar petani (sekitar 80%) risk neutral dan sisanya risk lover. Berdasarkan analisis Kountur, diketahui sumber risiko yang peluang dan dampaknya  besar adalah fluktuasi harga jagung, kenaikan harga input, serangan hama dan penyakit, serta ketersediaan tenaga kerja. Reduksi risiko yang dapat dilakukan adalah merevitalisasi keberadaan kelompok tani dengan berbagai macam program, antara lain yaitu penguatan posisi  tawar dalam penentuan harga, manajemen stok input yang diperdagangkan, penggunaan Pengelolaan Hama dan Penyakit Terpadu (PHT), dan mengintensifkan kembali sistem kerja gotong royong.

Abstract

Corn play an essential role in providing food and feed for living things in Madura Island and other parts of the country. More than 80% of the Madura Island farmer, plant this commodity, thereby, making it a productive farming activity in this region. However, its level of productivity is still below average due to the farmers' risk preference. This research, therefore, aims to analyze the risk preferences and inputallocation used in corn farming. The multistage sampling was used to collect data from a total of 120 people in Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, and Sumenep Regencies located in Madura, while the Kumbhakar parametric model was used to analyze risks. The results showed that farmers are in the Risk Averse category due to poor utilization of seeds, manure, labor, and NPK fertilizer, compared to the recommended level of usage.
