Abstract

This study is aimed describe the process of developing higher order thinking skills based poetry text assessment tools. Students need to be trained in their thinking skills by giving students the type of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) that can be used to improve students' thinking skills. This research was conducted in Junior High School Brigjend Katamso II Medan. The result shows that Preliminary studies were research and gathering preliminary information, namely needs analysis. The needs analysis in this research development began by distributing questionnaires to the needs of eighth grade students of Junior High School Brigjen Katamso II Medan, amounted to 35 students and 2 Indonesian language teachers of Junior High School Brigjen Katamso II Medan. The results of the needs analysis were as follows: That 100% of the teachers stated that they knew the assessment tools and 70% knew the steps in preparing the assessment tools. However, only 0% of teachers test their assessment tools before use so that 100% of teachers need a valid, effective and practical assessment tool.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) describe the feasibility of developing learning media for recount texts containing local figures, and (2) describe the results of the development of learning media for recount texts containing local figures in the form of integrated media that is websites. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results showed that: (1) validation of material experts with an average of 85.25% on very good criteria; (2) expert validation of instructional media design with an average of 91.25% on very good criteria, (3) individual trials with an average of 75% with good criteria , (4) small group trials with an average of 82.5% with very good criteria, and (5) limited field group trials with an average of 93% with very good criteria. The final activity of developing instructional media is continued by observing student learning outcomes in rewriting the recount text containing local figures. The learning outcomes of the recount text writing test before using learning media were 73.85, while using learning media increased by 86.05. Difference of 12.2 from before to after using media. This proves that the learning media for recount texts containing local figures that are developed can improve student learning outcomes.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendeskripsikan kelayakan pengembangan media pembelajaran teks cerita ulang bermuatan tokoh lokal, dan (2) mendeskripsikan hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran teks cerita ulang bermuatan tokoh lokal berupa media yang dipadukan dalam bentuk website. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validasi ahli materi dengan rata-rata 85.25% pada kriteria sangat baik; (2) validasi ahli desain media pembelajaran dengan rata-rata 91.25% pada kriteria sangat baik, (4) uji coba perorangan dengan rata-rata 75% dengan kriteria baik, dan (5) uji coba kelompok lapangan terbatas dengan rata-rata 93% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kegiatan akhir dari pengembangan media pembelajaran ini dilanjutkan dengan melihat hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis kembali teks cerita ulang bermuatan tokoh lokal. Hasil belajar tes menulis teks cerita ulang sebelum menggunakan media pembelajaran sebesar 73.85, sedangkan menggunakan media pembelajaran meningkat sebesar 86.05. Selisih 12.2 dari sebelum ke sesudah menggunakan media. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran teks cerita ulang bermuatan tokoh lokal yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Children literature has an important role in children development. Based on the research, there is a different between intellectual and character from child who is a bookworm and who is not. Reading fiction is a favorite of children. Children tend to identify themselves into a character in a fiction, therefore proper rules needs to be put into consideration. This paper aims at underlining problems in children fiction which are potentially eroding children’s morality. Analysis is done by studying the value and structure in children’s literature. It needs to be reconstructed, so reading habit of children will not drop them down to moral erosion.

Abstract

This research produces a portfolio-based short story writing assessment instrument. The research method used is the Research and Development method which refers to the development of Borg and Gall (in Tegeh et al, 2014: 7-13). The module development process is carried out with three stages: a preliminary study stage, initial product development and product trials. The results showed that the feasibility assessment by material experts consisted of 4 aspects namely content feasibility aspects obtained an average of 77 with effective criteria, aspects of the feasibility of the presentation obtained an average of 92.5 with very effective criteria, aspects of language eligibility obtained on average 77 with effective criteria, and aspects of contextual assessment obtained an average of 79.9 with effective criteria, evaluation of eligibility by instrument evaluation experts obtained an average of 85 with very effective criteria. The assessment interprets the meaning of the short story text, both verbally and in writing fulfilling the reliable criteria with a reliability of 0.7, the Assessment identifies the abstract, orientation, complications, resolution, evaluation, and koda meets the reliable criteria with a reliability of 0.7 and the assessment of writing the story text short meet the reliable criteria with a reliability of 0.97. This research impacts on the use of portfolio-based short story writing assessment instruments.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to find out the effectiveness of Adobe Flash CS5 Learning Media. This research was carried out in Public Senior High School 1 Padang, Bolak 2018/2019 Academic Year. Implementation of treatment (treatment) in the form of learning activities that are tailored to the education calendar. The population of this research and development are students of Public Senior High School 1 Padang Bolak. The result of this study The effectiveness of student learning outcomes tests got an average score of 81% with the criteria of "good" before using Adobe Flash CS5 learning media on learning to write explanatory texts got an average score of 68.7% with the criteria of "enough".

Abstract

This study aims to describe the pattern of development, validity and feasibility and effectiveness of attitude assessment instruments on learning the text of observational reports for grade VII students SMP Swasta Taman Harapan Medan. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets. The assessment instrument developed in this study was an attitude assessment instrument in the form of a self-assessment test. The results of the field trials show that the results of the material expert's assessment of the instrument's worth were 89.17% and were valid qualifications. While the evaluation of expert evaluation results obtained a percentage of 88.57% and are in valid qualifications. Based on the results of trials that have been carried out, it can be stated that the attitude assessment instruments developed already have good validity so that they are suitable for use in learning assessment activities. In the field trial phase the researchers tested the level of students' understanding ability to see the level of effectiveness of the assessment instrument for attitude assessment. Based on the analysis results obtained an average ability of students' attitudes/affective that is 76.46% with a good category. The results obtained in this study indicate that self-assessment instruments can measure the ability of student attitudes and provide instructions that in learning Indonesian by using self-assessment instruments are more appropriate to be applied in learning so that teachers can further evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of learning received by students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh nilai feminisme dalam cerita rakyat Si BoruNaitang.Sastra adalah suatu kegiatan yang bersifat seni kreatif yang bisa dihubungkandengan ilmu lain seperti ilmu bahasa dan sosial, baik dalam sastra lisan dan tulisan. Peransastra dalam pembentukan karakter bangsa tidak hanya didasarkan pada nilai yangterkandung di dalamnya.Pembelajaran sastra yang bersifat apresiatif pun sarat denganpendidikan karakter.Kegiatan membaca, mendengarkan, dan menonton karya sastra padahakikatnya menanamkan karakter tekun, berpikir kritis, dan berwawasan luas.Karya sastramemiliki hubungan timbal balik dengan masyarakat dan tidak bisa dipisahkan dengan nilainilai yang ada dalam masyarakat.Karya sastra juga berjalan bersama dengan perkembanganzaman di masyarakat, sehingga suatu karya sastra ciptaan seseorang merupakan bagian darimasyarakat. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai penulis adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan agar memperoleh data secara mendetail adalahberupa gambar dan dialog yang diperoleh dari catatan hasil rekaman wawancara. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai feminisme dalam cerita rakyat Si BoruNaitang. Abstract

Learning French in high school carries an introduction to French culture as a form of cultural acculturation. Learning French is not only about learning the language, but also about culture. Even so, in learning French texts, students still have to negotiate with the foreign culture they are studying. There needs to be an adaptation of the French language into the ecological culture of the learner. So far, French teaching materials have not been sufficient to accommodate the ecological culture of students. Learning French doesn't have to be French. In the cultural context that surrounds students, students must also be able to collaborate between the Basic Competencies that must be achieved with the ecological relevance of using French. Therefore, it is necessary to present teaching materials for French Language Subjects based on Malay Ecology for high school students in the city of Medan. Malay is a culturally strong base in the city of Medan, so that the teaching materials also represent students' needs to survive in the ecological culture that surrounds them. This article presents the results of research that produces products in the form of teaching materials for French language subjects based on Malay ecology for high school students in Medan City. The aims of the research were 1) to produce teaching materials for French language subject based on Malay ecology for high school students in Medan City, 2) to measure the validity of teaching materials for French language subject based on Malay ecology for high school students in Medan City. This research uses the development method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). Validity test involves material and design experts. Based on the validity test, the results obtained were that the teaching materials obtained an average score of 88.75% by two validators in the very feasible category. The follow-up validity test was applied to high school students and teachers in Medan City with an average acquisition of 88.05% in the very decent category. This validation test uses a questionnaire technique to collect data on the feasibility of teaching materials based on the assessment of high school students and teachers in Medan City. Research products will be implemented in schools that are partners in the research.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan penilaian auntentik pada kurikulum merdeka belajar materi menulis teks deskripsi di sekolah SMP Labschool UPI. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa penilaian autentik masih relevan digunakan pada kurikulum merdeka belajar dan digunakan sebagai pendukung pendidik dalam menilai kemampuan dan dalam pengisian rapor peserta didik. Selain itu digunakan untuk menilai aspek sikap, keterampilan, dan pengatahuan secara nyata yang pada kurikulum merdeka yang sudah tidak ada ditegaskan di buku panduan. Abstract

This article is based on research and development entitled “The Development of Digital Teaching Language in Indonesian Language Subjects based on Malay Ecology”. In general, ecology-based research is not a new discovery. However, this research provides a new dimension related to the concept of Freedom to Learn. The concept of ecology has a direction for adapting education to the needs of students, as with independent learning which wants education to go according to the needs and characteristics of different students. Freedom to learn brings the same passion to concretize ecology-based education. The research data shows that 59% of students in SMA 1 Limapuluh, SMA 1 Asahan, SMA 1 Tanjungbalai and SMK 4 Tanjungbalai, assess that the Indonesian language subject matter teaching materials that have been used so far do not contain ecological content related to nature, the environment and their own culture. The teacher explained that this had an impact on 1) the difficulty of the teacher in providing examples, 2) the difficulty of students understanding the material and 3) the material being incompatible with the real life of students. Of course this is a problem. This research resulted in a conceptual understanding that the teacher's difficulty in providing examples of learning and the teacher's difficulty in relating material to the real life of students is due to the unfulfilled ecological dimension. This ecological dimension can be fulfilled by linking environmental values into materials, tests and assessments. The solution that can be offered from this article is to present Indonesian language subject materials based on local ecology. Also, as a concretization of "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom to Learn) Program in the pandemic era, there must be a Learning Management System (LMS) developed by schools to support the learning process so that teachers and students have the freedom to create Indonesian language learning that is relevant to the needs of students.
