Abstract. Once of the meaning of mathematic studying is to learn the communication, because the students may provide the ideas to the teacher and other trough. On the other side, the interpersonally studying of the student much concerning to the process and the result of the student learns, because the interpersonally studying might easily solve the problem and act as an adult. Once of the studying model may applicable to increase the mathematically communication ability and the interpersonally studying is the group model investigation. This research aims to know the increasing of mathematically communication ability and the interpersonally studying between students who get group investigation lesson and students who get conventional lesson concerning all generally and based of student level. This research is use the experimental research. The design used of the research is pre-test post-test control group design. The population of the research are all of the students level VII of National 9 Junior High School of Banda Aceh. Random sampling technical used to take the sample. In order to have the data research used the instrument as mathematically communication ability test and interpersonally studying scale form questionary. The result of the research shows that mathematically communication ability and the interpersonally studying student who get group investigation learning are better than students who get conventionally learning as in all generally or even based on student level.Keyword: Group Investigation Lesson Model, Mathematically Communication Ability, Interpersonally Studying of Student.

Pendidikan tinggi sebagai bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional memiliki peran strategis dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan memajukan ilmu pengetahuan serta teknologi dengan memperhatikan dan menerapkan nilai humaniora serta pembudayaan dan pemberdayaan bangsa Indonesia yang berkelanjutan. Oleh sebab itu peningkatan mutu pendidikan di perguruan tinggi merupakan sesuatu yang tidak bisa diabaikan dan mendesak untuk segera dilakukan dengan jalan merubah subsistem yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip tata kelola perguruan tinggi yang baik, GuG (Good University Governance). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh profil kepemimpinan PTS yaitu kompetensi individu, gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, lingkungan yang sinergis dan komitmen pimpinan PT terhadap tata kelola pengembangan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Aceh. Penelitian ini menggabungkan dua metode penelitian yaitu penelitian kualitatif dan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, kuisioner dan survey. Subyek sampel penelitian ini para Rector dan Pembantu Rector Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) di Provinsi Aceh. Pada Studi awal penelitian ini, subjek sampelnya berjumlah 10 pimpinan, terdiri dari dua Universitas, dua Sekolah Tinggi dan satu Akademi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah borang penilaian Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi, serta instrument penelitian Kinerja Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip GuG. Semua instrument penelitian dan borang penilaian melalui tahapan validasi dan reliabilitas. Hasil temuan dalam studi awal ini adalah tingkat keterpakaian borang sekitar 94%, dan pengaruh Profil kepemimpinan PTS terhadap Kinerja PTS bidang akademik sekitar 59,3% dan bidang non akademik sekitar 59,1%.

Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) is one of learning model which required student to be more active and create steps in solving problem so that the student should be able to develope their ability in solving mathematics problem and change the student’s perspective in mathematics positively. This study aims to asses the improvemement of problem solving and student’s self-concept that are taught by using PBI model and the student who taught by conventional learning through their level in studying. This study used pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study is the eleventh grade students of SMK Farmasi Cut Meutia Banda Aceh in the school year 2013-2014. Samples were taken two classes XIA as the experimental class and XIB as a control class through purposing sampling technique. The instrument used to obtain research data is a mathematics problem solving ability test. The statistical test used to analyze the increasing problem solving data are ANOVA two path test. The result showed that the improvement problem solving ability that were taught by using PBI is better than students taught with conventional learning. According to student’s level, improving problem solving ability through PBI model is also better than students taught with conventional learning.

The low learning outcomes of students on geometry may be due to the unavailability of GeoGebra software assisted learning modules. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of a GeoGebra software assisted learning module on the theory of flat-faced 3D shapes. This study consists of three phases, which are preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The test subjects are the students of a junior high school in Aceh Selatan. The research instruments cover student activity sheets, formative test sheets, student response questionnaires, and observer response questionnaires. The results show that the learning module satisfies the effectiveness criteria. These results are supported by very good student activities, improvement in students’ score of formative test, and positive responses of the students and teachers on the learning module.

This research was aimed to know: (1) the difference of the increasing of understanding mathematical ability who get the learning process through MMP model by using online math game and students who get the learning process conventionally; (2) the difference of the increasing of students’ motivation who get the learning process through MMP model by using online math game and students who get the learning process conventionally; (3) the interaction between learning model by the level of students on their mathematics increasing of understanding mathematical ability; (4) the interaction between learning model by the students’ level on the students motivation increasing. This research used quantitative approach by quasi experiment method. The populations were all students of grade VII SMA Arun-Lhokseumawe–Aceh which consisted of five classes. As the sample were taken randomly namely class VII-C as experiment class and class VII-B as controlled class. The research instrument was the ability of mathematics understanding in essay form, motivation questioner of students and observation sheets. Data were analyzed by t-test and Anova. The analysis with result show indicated that (1) the increasing of the students’ understanding mathematical ability taught through MMP teaching model by using online math game was better than those who were taught conventionally; (2) the increasing of motivation which’s taught through MMP teaching model by using online math game was better than those who were taught conventionally; (3) there was no interaction between learning model by students’ level on student’s mathematic of understanding mathematical ability; (4) there was an interaction between learning model by students’ level on the increasing of the students’ motivation.

Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) is a learning approach that can help teachers relate learning materials with students’ real-world situations and encourage them to make connections between their knowledge by the application in their life as members of the family and society. Mathematical connection ability includes finding the relationships between mathematics and its topics, mathematics and other subjects, and mathematics and daily life or the real world. The purposes of this study were (1) to know the difference in students’ mathematical connection ability before and after using CTL, (2) to know the difference in mathematical connection ability between male and female students, and (3) to know the effect of CTL on mathematical connection ability of VIII grade students of Junior High School in terms of gender. This study adopted a factorial design, a modified version of true experimental design. The subjects of the study were 34 students of class VIII-4 of SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh as experimental class without control class. The instrument of data collection was mathematical connection test. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The finding of the study shows that (1) there was a difference in students’ mathematical connection ability before and after using CTL, (2) there was no difference in mathematical connection ability between male and female students, and (3) there was a learning effect of CTL on mathematical connection ability of VIII grade students of Junior High School in terms of gender. The implications of this study demonstrate that learning mathematics with CTL approach was one of the efforts of teachers in teaching and learning activities in particular mathematics courses to improve male and female students' connection ability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SD dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Prosedur penelitian: sampel dari enam kabupaten di NAD, menyusun instrumen penelitian, melatih guru dalam pembelajaran inkuiri, melakukan treatment berupa pembelajaran inkuiri bagi siswa oleh guru, dan melakukan feedback. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi intensitas aktivitas pembelajaran, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dari setiap tahap evaluasi, dan pada umumnya terdapat pola penyelesaian soal cerita yang keliru oleh siswa, disebabkan kurang memahami soal dan keterampilan berhitung

Model collaborative teaching dipandang sebagai pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa terhindar dari rasa cemas yang berat ketika menyelesaikan soal, sehingga siswa dapat membangun pemahaman konsep dengan baik. Kecemasan yang berat dapat menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman matematis pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan dan pemahaman matematis siswa melalui penggunaan collaborative teaching. Sampel terdiri dari 51 siswa SMP dari kelas VII MTsN Jeureula yang di tes dua kali selama dua bulan. Studi menemukan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa yang signifikan pada tes awal dan tes akhir. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman siswa yang diajarkan dengan collaborative teaching dan pembelajaran biasa, sementara tingkat kecemasan matematis, berada pada tingkat ideal (sedang) dibanding dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan metode biasa yaitu berada pada tingkat berat. Studi juga menemukan tidak terdapat interaksi antara faktor pembelajaran dan pengetahuan awal siswa (Tinggi, sedang dan rendah) terhadap pemahaman konsep. Ini berarti bahwa model collaborative teaching dan pengetahuan awal siswa tidak mempengaruhi pemahaman matematis secara bersamaan. Akan tetapi, terdapat interaksi antara faktor pembelajaran dan pengetahuan awal siswa terhadap kecemasan matematis, ini berarti model collaborative teaching dan pengetahuan awal siswa mempengaruhi kecemasan matematis secara bersamaan.

This study was aimed at investigating adaptive reasoning ability of junior high school students through the implementation of the creative problem solving model. This study employed a mixed-method approach using an embedded concurrent strategy. Thirty students were selected randomly as the sample from 180 Year 8 students, and six students were selected to be observed and further interviewed after the final test. The instruments used were a test and interview questions. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the students' ability between the pre-test and post-test. In addition, there was also an increase in the ability of the six students based on an adaptive reasoning rubric. The increase was more dominant for the first and fifth indicators while the increases of the second and fourth indicators varied. Some students were able to solve the problem based on the indicators, but it was incomplete due to miscalculation, and some students were lacking in the ability to find the pattern and drawing a correct conclusion as a result of the profound basic knowledge.
