Abstract

Writing skill can encourage the students’ vocabulary enrichment, achieve the ability of students’ feeling, ideas, opinion, and express anything in their mind. This research is conducted because of some problems, they were : the students had difficulty in composing a good paragraph, need a speciffic activity that can help the students’ to improve student’s English writing ability in MA.Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan, exactly writing descriptive paragraph. The purpose of the study are: To know the students taught using pair work activity have higher achievement on writing paragraph of the grade x students of MA Miftahul Qulub Pamekasan and to measure the significant effect of pair work activity use on writing paragraph of the gradex students in MA Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan. The reserach was analysed by using quantitative method of experimental reserach design, and is implemented some kind of instruments such as, test (pre-test and post-test), observation and documentation. The result of this research showed that the students are taught by pair work activity have higher achievement on the students’ writing at the X grade of MA Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan. Besause t-observed 3.405 > t-table 2.009 so Ha is accepted. It has also significant effect of pairwork activity on writing paragraph of students at the X grade in MA Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan. Because the significance is (0,001) < 0,05. It can concluded Ha is accepted. Keywords : Pairwork Activity, Writing Ability, Descriptive Paragraph. Abstrak Kemampuan menulis bisa mendorong penguasaan kosa kata siswa , dan mencapai kemampuan untuk mengungkapkan kesan,ide-ide, pendapat siswa serta segala sesuatu yang ada di pikiran mereka. Penelitian ini diadakan berdasarkan beberapa masalah, seperti: siswa menghadapi kesulitan dalam mengarang sebuah paragraf sempurna, butuh acktivitas khusus untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan menulisdalam bahasa inggris di MA Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan, dalam hal ini penulisan paragraf deskriptif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan aktivitas Pairwork mempunyai pencapaian lebih tinggi dalam kemampuan menulis paragraf pada siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Qulub Pamekasan dan juga mengukur pengaruh signifikan dari aktivitas Pairwork yang digunakan dalam kemampuan menulis paragraf siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Qulub Polagan Galis Pamekasan. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode kuantitatif dari desain penelitian eksperimen murni dan menerapkan beberapa instrumen seperti tes (pre-test - post-test), observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan aktivitas Pairwork mendapatkan pencapaian lebih tinggi dalam kemampuan menulis siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Qulub Pamekasan, karena T-hitung 3.405 > T-tabel 2.009 sehingga Ha diterima. Dan juga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan aktivitas Pairwork dalam kemampuan menulis paragraf siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Qulub Pamekasan karena terdapat signifikansi (0.001) < 0.05 sehingga bisa disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima.

Abstract

The mastering of English skill has been faced some obstacles for the first students of MA. Mitahul Qulub because some factors, such as: students did not get good guidance to develop their ability, textbook material is not appropriate of students need in the specific institution. Based on the situation, this study aims to develop supplementary English guide book to the student, it includes two English skills both Reading and writing that will be related to the students need and use scientific approach to make a good English book composition. The researcher developed the materials by using some procedures of development  that consisted of some steps of need analysis, material development, expert validation,  revision, try-out, revision II, final product that used questionnaire and interview to collect data. Based on the result of expert validation and try out of materials, it can be concluded that the result of development English guide book is appropriate with the students need and objectives of English guide program itself, exactly the level of students’ difficulties, interest, and standards for the first grade. The experts’ hopes, the book can give a advantages and contribution as supplementary English guide book for the students to develop their English reading and writing skills. The English guide book development consisted of five chapters that provided the materials both reading and writing skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pondok pesantren dituntut untuk lebih meningkatkan kualitasnya dibidang keagamaan, intelektual, dan life skill yang mumpuni, sehinggga eksistensi pondok pesantren tetap kokoh. Hal ini disebabkan tidak semua lulusan pondok pesantren akan menjadi Ulama atau Kiai, dan memilih lapangan pekerjaan dibidang agama, maka keahlian-keahlian lif skill perlu diberikan kepada santri sebelum terjun ketengah-tengah masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan islam berbasis life skill di pondok pesantren As-Syahidul Kabir Sumber Batu Blumbungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tekhnik pengumpulan data yaitu survey lapangan, observasi, dan wawancara,. Sistem pendidikan Islam berbasis lifeskill di Pondok Pesantren As-Syahidul Kabir diimplementasikan dalam porsi tersendiri, yaitu tidak tersusun dalam satuan kurikulum pada jenjang pendidikan yang diterapkan di pondok pesantren. Pendidikan Islam berbasis lifeskill diterapkan dalam bentuk kegiatan-kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang tidak semua santri diwajibkan untuk mengikutinya, namun tergantung pada kesadaran dari masing-masing santri. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Pendidikan Islam, Life Skill Abstract: Pesantren are demanded to further improve their quality, the religious, intellectual fields, furthemore; life skills’s qualified, so that the existence of boarding schools remains strong. This is because not all graduates of Islamic boarding schools will become piosman that are part of life skills need to be given to students before plunging into the midst of the actual community. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of life skill-based Islamic education in As-Syahidul Kabir’s Islamic Boarding School. This is a qualitative research desing that analyzed by using descriptive, and the data collection’s techniques of this research are survey, observations, and interviews. In the As-Syahidul Kabir’s boarding school, , life skill-based Islamic education is implemented in a separate portion, which is not arranged in curriculum units at the level of education applied in boarding schools. Life skill-based Islamic education is implemented in the form of extracurricular activities where not all students are required to participate, but it depends on their’s awareness. Abstract

he period of rapid development of science and technology and the current of globalization which is also more intense has been able to present various problems in the world of education. The diversity of problems in the world of education has quite broad implications. One of them is the low output produced. Madrasah Aliyah Al-Huda is one of the high school institutions under the auspices of the PondokNangka Islamic Boarding School. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the students' low understanding of the material taught by religious teachers, describe the professionalism of educators and describe the implications of the method Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) in improving students' understanding of the material being taught. The researcher analyzed the results of the study using the qualitative method of Miles and Huberman's model through observation, interviews in collecting research data. The results showed that students' contextual teaching learning (CTL) methods were able to receive and digest material well, students were more active during the teaching and learning process as well as increased student learning outcomes which were implied in cognitive, psychomotor and affective mastery.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) describing the improvement of text writing skills Exposition students of grade X MA Al-Huda Sumber Nangka Duko Timur Pamekasan, (2) describe the skills of writing text exposition with a blended learning system. This research is quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research is in the form of value analysis of the test results of writing exposition text. Qualitative research in the form of data analysis of nontest results through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the test writing exposition text using blended learning learning system obtained results that the average grade X MA Al Huda students improved, it is evidenced by the results of research on pre-cycle students get an average grade score of 41.07. In cycle I the average grade of students increased to 63.75. From pre-cycle to cyclical I students' grades increased by a difference of 22.68. In cycle II learning students get an average grade of 67.70 and in cycle III the average grade of students increases to 80. From the learning of cycle I to cycle II increased with a difference of value of 3.95 while between cycle II to cycle III increased with a difference of value of 12.03. This proves that students' persuasive paragraph writing results improved from precyclical, cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III to good category.
